Favorite DC villian? YES I LOVE TO COPY THREADs

I don't know, I really want to ask who is your favorite/best DC villain. However it seems 1) DC just isn't cool with the young kids.

2)And Everyone will answer: the Joker.

But Anyway I'll give it a try because I'm a thread copying whore.

My Favorite/ or the BEst DC villains

The Joker
Deathstroke the Terminator
The Cyborg (From the Return of Super Man)
Parrallax (and insane and all powerful Green Lantern bent on Rebuilding his dead city. HAL JORDAN NO LESS.)
Doomsday
Vandal Savage
Mr. ZsasZ
The Scarecrow
Bane was sweet in the night fall story

Cheerful Coffin 08-12-2004 06:46 PM

Hal Jordan rules as a general rule, he's been a green lantern, a kickass villain, AND The Spectre. (Who bassically wields God's power.)

Bane is cool, but his "poisen" obsession is nothing out of the odinary. It's called college football. :p

Now Lobo, THERE's a villain yo! He's slaughterd Santa Claus, tore apart both heaven and hell, set a bad example for God, shut Superman up once or twice, and if you ask me is better then his Marvel counterpart Deadpool.

TheZeroMan 08-12-2004 08:26 PM

He's more of an "Anti-hero" though ... are you still a villian if you get your own comic?

Though I agree Lobo is probably the most badass comic character ever.

MFD 08-12-2004 10:02 PM

Ra's al Ghul. Enough, Detective.

dragonglove 08-12-2004 10:12 PM

I don't know enough about DC comics, but I liked Darkside.

I also liked Clayface's attitude, or attitude problem. Never cared much for his mud power.

And I did have to hold myself back from saying Joker. Although, I also liked the Riddler.

Venice 08-12-2004 10:57 PM

Bizzaro will crush you!

Cheerful Coffin 08-13-2004 12:04 AM

Not to sound like a comic-freak dude but for future referance.. it's "Darkseid".

Sense Lobo may or may not count do to his anti-hero stances I'll go with my second fave..

That being the Trickster. :bmage:

Trickster may not seem like much, he's a Flash villain (so you know he sucks..) but he's gotten punched in the face by an angst Aquaman for taunting him to fight AND was able to single-handedly fool Neron. Not that Neron was all that great of a devil entity anyway, but I liked how in Underworld he made all those Flash/Aquaman rogues seem more real. Stuff like "They talked amongst eachother like we'd live like kings, instead I'm here screwing a delievery boy out of his zit cream money.."

It's not exactly what he said but that's about the context of it. It's cool in a way that Trickster KNEW he was a villanous loser..

CheshireThief 08-13-2004 12:14 AM

I'll have to go with Two-Face. Don't ask me why. I like coin flips.

TheZeroMan 08-13-2004 07:06 PM

Yes I believe the Flash's Rogue gallery has been sweet lately. They are totally lame characters but the flash writers have been making them sweet. Which is the mark of good writer.

Lobo is heroic in deadpool sort of way. He teamed up with the JLA in that one episode of JLA the animted series. But he is more of a villain I believe he even has his own super hero archnemesis that he used to taunt and torture from time to time. Goldstar I believe his name was.

I find it hard to believe I've for got to mention Lex Luthor. Or Even Calipso.

Mr. Wind-Up Bird 08-14-2004 01:24 PM

Dr. Light. He really is evil.

Not that any of you are reading Identity Crisis.

Edit: The Smiler in Transmetropolitan or Deathstroke because he's taking on the whole JLA and winning.

edit 2: Bluebeard, Goldilocks, and the adversary in Fables, Hero in Y-The Last Man, or Ozymandias in Watchmen.

Does Vertigo cout?

TheZeroMan 08-14-2004 10:50 PM

Sure why not I was going say Ozymandias anyway.

Peo 08-14-2004 10:55 PM

Doomsday, then bizzaro, but also lex luthor

Mr. Wind-Up Bird 08-15-2004 06:17 AM

Doomsday was not a good villan. In fact, the whole death of superman thing was increbibly lame and poorly written. But I will give you the cyborg superman because he did destroy cost city and kill Troia.

TheZeroMan 08-15-2004 10:03 PM

Actually the Robotic Superman that killed wasn't that Cyborg. That was a incredibly lame Android superman.

I actually liked Dooomsday out of the context of the Death of Superman. I just have soft spot in my heart for mindless, unstoppable, civilization destroying killing machines. And he almost killed Booster Gold
(http://www.dcuguide.com/Who/images/BoosterGold.jpg). HE almost killed the Blue Beetle, Booster Gold Fire and Ice. The Worst collection of Justice Leaguers ever. He at least Kicked their asses which makes him a winner.

Mr. Wind-Up Bird 08-16-2004 08:37 AM

I could beat up that justice leauge. If you wait long enough, Blue Beetle just has a heart attack.

You forgot Bloodwynd or whatever. Why Martian Manhunter, why?

Edit: Oh, I just remembered another one. Grant Morrison was a great villian in Animal Man.

TheZeroMan 08-17-2004 06:15 PM

Yea anybody could. But Doomsday was the only person to take the responsibilty to get down and do it. He's a go getter. And he Crushed the New Justice league in the "Doomsday Wars" but the Braniac was possessing his mind so that a combination.

Batman was a pretty good Villian in "SuperMan : Red Son."

Mr. Wind-Up Bird 08-17-2004 06:33 PM

SPOILERS!!

Jimmy Olsen was pretty good in "The Nail"

END OF SPOILERS!

MFD 08-18-2004 07:58 AM

No fans of the Demon's Head?

chryos_the_forsaken 08-18-2004 01:11 PM

Although Hal Jordan would easily rule you all, literally, i have to go with Trigon. Not only did he kick the hell out of the teen titans many times, he also possessed Raven from the grave, and once they beat evil Raven, he ruined the souls of Azarath and turned Jericho evil.
nuff said!

TheReturnOfTheAceofSpades 08-23-2004 04:34 PM

I would say the Pengiun, and I hate to say it, but I think Joker is the kewlest. He not only looks kewl but he is a physcotic freak who kills for fun and has a hot gf, Harle.

Lycanthrope 08-23-2004 06:26 PM

I liked Darkseid until he got beat up by superman, making him just like everyone else. Luthor has his high points.
