Nifty new doom 3 screenshots
 

after wandering around planetquake.com i came across the www.planetdoom.com and it had screenshots and i clicked to just check it out and there were some new ones i noticed...

and that's when i said "oh baby"

Doom 3 will be mine...oh yes...it will be mine...

Thanks for posting these...I was so caught up in the frenzy of Deus Ex: Invisible War I had almost forgotton about Doom.

Derek: Yes, it's still a first-person shooter. Although from what it looks like and what I've heard, it might have more of a survival horror theme going with it, with little ammo and lots of scares.

Little Ammo. *le sigh* I wish they'd make a Survival horror Devil May Cry Style! All the Ammo you want! Suck it Zombes! Suck it all!

Um, then it wouldn't be a survivial horror. The whole point of a survival horror is to try and survive the horrors that are in the game using very little resources(i think anyone should figure that one out). If you had infinite ammo, you wouldn't have that much trouble surviving, now would you?

Sure you would! You'd still have to find annoying puzzle pieces and silly typewriter ribbon so you can save. Why not infinintly bust some heads why your "surviving" the tediousness of it all. That my friend, is the face of true horror.

So, does this mean it won't be the same mindless shoot-em-up that the original Doom was? But...that's what I liked about the orginal...running-and-gunning against an endless horde...

I think Devil and I have something in common.

That's just mostly speculation I guess. I think it's going to be great, and you'll probably still get lots of ammo and stuff. Who knows?
