Dude viewtiful Joe was one of the best games i have ever played, for this year, but still i thought it was pretty good

On-topic: This is one of the best games ever made, IMHO. If any of you havn't played it...do yourself a favor and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

See even the old Mario bros games can influience new games. It was a pretty cool game I played it at my freinds and as i said before I felt I was playing a mario bros cause of the nonstop sidescrolling action!

I don't know why Viewtiful Jow woulc seem bad just from looking at it, on the contrary, I thought it looked quite good, and I was right--the comic book, intense 2D action was true to Capcom's style. Hear, hear!

Evil_bahamut: by that logic, any 2d game is useless because they're all like mario. What you're saying is true--games are all influenced by each other, subliminally or consciously. Look at Jak II (perfect example, was just playing it). The city element is undeniably from GTA (3, obviously). But it remains a good game. However, I think comparing Jak 2 to GTA 3 is valid, since they are both recent, while comparing Viewtiful Joe to Mario is not, since Mario is so old, its roots are already deeply embedded in the gameplay of all games.

I just beat the game again tonight. Although the sixth level ("The Magnificent Five") is tough as nails, the last level makes up for it, if only because it parodies Star Wars so well. The giant Six Machine-mecha fight also ruled.
