Web comic hosting for free
 

I have a site that i would like to turn into a comic comunity so to speak, so all you comic makers out there who want to have their comic hosted, i will do so. post here your interest then we will work from there.

So what is the catch? What to you have to gain for paying for someone else's bandwidth? Will you be able to host domains? Without domain hosting, most serious comics will overlook you.

what kind of comics are you looking for? anything? or just gaming comics? what is off limits? what's your vision?

what i get out of it is that i like amature comics and want those who need a hoster to get one for free. The comics will be based off of one site curently, eventually it will grow the site will improve and more will be added to the comunity. my rules for the comic is, it has to be a comic. if it has somthing that people will find offensive, i will still host it just warn people about it. my vision is to creat a comunity of diffrent comics, of all genera's. so if you would aid me in my dream by letting me put your comic up in the comunity, then i thank you.

i would like to know the specifications of the hosting. what is the bandwidth, the free space, weather the site can have subdomains so our comics can have our own names.com, and the format the layout has to be in. as you can probably tell i have researched this alot.:-D

I just want to know if its going to have enough room for all of our kickass artwork?

I would definantely like this my old site died off of and I need a new free host (friend hosted old one)

For now there is unlimited bandwith, that may change in the futere. But that will be my problom, i will put as much money into this as i need, so dont worry about that. now on the space i am getting that, but i dont think that should be a problom. and it will be a subdomain, so our website/yourcomic name alright. now the site isnt finished yet it is being polished but if you want your comic up contact me as soon as you can so that you get it up right away, and then we will do the rest. all you do is send us your comic updates, the site is on the web already, though the address may change in the futere as we improve things. but everything should be ready soon, so start setting up things for your comic.

well good for you, keep working on them. i will support them on to the web, now you can start to set it up with me and my web god, so that you can have it up and running as soon as possible. and be one of the first people to be in the comunity, pm me and i will send you a email address so that we can communicate and set things up. or you can wait and see how things turn out

*i would like to know if you people are interested, pm me so i know that what i am doing has sparked some interest out there, so i dont put my time and money into something that wont get off the ground. so if you do want to take advantage of this, but are scared to ask or you fell that somerthignis missing, contact me and we can set things up, free is better then paying for it, correct

i know it has been delayed for well a long ass time (kinda like doom3) but it is nrealy done, ill send the site to the authors who have said that they want to be on. FINAL STAGES PEOPLE

im not internet domain expert, but www.website.com/yourcomic is a subdirectory, not a subdomain.

Hello, It's the PSR website admin...

The site is now functional enough to upload comics for hosting. You can visit us at http://psr.no-ip.org/

Anyone can register that wants. If you have a comic, talk to the PSR Director and he can make you a full member (for free btw.) Unfourtunately right now we only have very few comics, but this will hopefully change with time. Feel free to post suggestions or questions in the shoutbox.

I feel this can really help out many forum-goers and sprite comic hobbyists.

I've said it before, you're comic is fairly funny, but I just now noticed a fatal flaw in it: Resizing. The sprites are choppily resized, and they look bad. Whenever you resize sprites, use Paint, and INCREASE their size by a whole number increment using the Image/Stretch and Skew menu (I.e. increase by 200%, 300%, 400%, etc). This will make your comics look MUCH better.

Thanks Dystopian Rhetoric for your input. What do you think needs to be improved for us to have a decent chance at competition? I am glad to accept any suggestions for the site design or additional authoring abilities.
