"Kuyuden - there is no need to guard me here. Go with Raiden and Taken-san to organize the defense. I must speak with their shugenja..."
Saying so, Kenren walked off, straightening his obi and kimono as he did. The city had fascinated him, and he wished to know more about it... and the unique magic the Dragon wielded. Entering the room Raiden had just left, Kenren came face to face with the Agasha daimyo himself, Agasha Yama. A short man, he seemed somewhat distracted as the Phoenix entered the room. Kenren approached the daimyo, but took care to remain a respectful distance from the man. "I thank you for your hospitality, Agasha Yama-sama." |
Taken nodded toward Raiden in acknowledgement. "The city is well defended. There are only two weaknesses in it's defense. The first is the labyrinth. We were able to get through and it would be a slaughter if the lion managed to as well, with their superior numbers. I suggest blocking it off until we can beat back the lion, or are forced to retreat, however, that is only a minor weakness."
"The forest, however, is a serious problem. It's branches and leaves will make it difficult to target the lion with our archers, and will, further, deflect and slow many of the arrows we do manage to fire at them. It's trunks can be used to form weapons of war, capable of destroying the walls. There is only one good solution." Taken stopped for a moment and thought about the best way to word his solution for the forest, but quickly decided that being frank would be the easiest way. His voice was quiet however, as that he knew his plan, if followed, would cost many lions their lives. It was better them than he and his comrades, however, and so he explained. "We burn it. The lion will be trapped in the burning timbers, and what was once their cover and their weapons will become our weapon against them. Their numbers will be thinned by the flames, and those who are not injured or killed will be left easy prey to archers and shugenja." |
"Your strategy is not without merit, but I will not order the destruction of Agasha's forrest. It is a holy place to the clan. Also every fortress needs a gap. A place where you can attack the enemy. If all you do is defend, you have already lost.

Dai was walking about the camp, trying to get some movement after having to lay down for about half a day. He had been pacing around his tent for about ten minutes. He was kind of annoying those who were sitting around him, but he didn't really care. He was walking around when everyone seemed to quiet down, which meant one of two things: there was something very bad going on, or there was an officer around. He turned around to see which one of the two it was, only to see the latter.
"Which one of you is Akodo Dai?" Matsu Tsunari commanded as she looked around at the men. "I am, Matsu Tsunari-sama," he replied, bowing to the Taisa of the Lion forces. "Get your equipment ready. You're going to help hunt down the Dragon who got away from us recently," she ordered. "Yes, I'll get ready as soon as possible," Dai said, bowing again. He hurried off into his tent to get his armor on and get everything else ready. |
"The mad Ise Zumi killed two Matsu" Tsanuri said. "I want more volunteers to accompany Dai in the hunt."

OOC: Two... How convienent...
IC: "The mad Ise Zumi killed two Matsu" Tsanuri said. "I want more volunteers to accompany Dai in the hunt." Hyobe heard the call for volunteers, and instantly took that opportunity to prove himself yet again. And not only that, but he would be accompanying the man who he saved, so he could make sure he knows the caliber of the man that saved him. “I will accompany Dai to hunt the dragon.” Hyobe said as he stepped forward. OOC: My character hunting my previous character, intresting. |
ooc: I thought you'd enjoy it.

(OOC: Creative energy has been drained lately... >_< )
Keiko nodded at Tsanura, then turned to the man who volunteered to accompany Dai on the hunt. "Fine," She nodded, then turned to other potential volunteers, "Dai needs more than just one man to help him find the mad Ise Zumi..." she said, looking at them. Two other men stepped forward to help. "This Ise Zumi killed two of our Lions, are you just going to let him get away?" She said, inspiring more to join in the hunt. She nodded, satified with the number who would help Dai, then gathered up the rest of her men who weren't volunteering, "We are going forward to see if the assult has become." She informed them, "Now forward!" She commanded, leading her troops. |
"You are Isawa Kenren, acolyte of void. I must thank you for your help." The aged daimyo said with a bow.

"Mirumoto Raiden-san was a loyal comrade, and my sensei. To aid him was my pleasure, and it has been repaid tenfold now that I am able to behold the wonders of the Agasha."
