Monk took the map and stuffed it into one of his pockets, thenc turned for the jet, only to be stopped for the small case and the green fluid. He opened it up and took a quick look at the contents. "Hm... something to stop a small army of men? This could come in real handy." He zipped up the pouch and stuffed it in his other pocket. He looked towards the newest member, "I thank you... Devin, correct? I don't remember if we met or not, but we'll have plenty of time afterwards to get to know each other."
While on the plane, he sat in a corner by himself, silently breathing, meditating for the last time. Who knows what's going to be in there. I can't believe I'm going to do this. The past I have tried to run from, I am now embracing, and even going to rely on to get this job done. Is it possible that two different souls can merge into one man? |
OOC: You got it.
IC: There was a faint humming as the Phantom cut through the air, and everyone took a moment to double-check what they'd brought. Within about an hour, they were swooping low along the water, decreasing speed so as to not to leave a wake. The guards were yawning, and tired. The door of the Phantom slid open, and Angel took aim with his gun. A guard picked his nose. Then spasmed wildly as a taser bullet hit him, and his partner followed suit. With the guards down, the Cyber Force dropped into the boatyard and checked around for any other guards. |
OOC: If it takes an hour for a jet to fly from JFK to the Bronx...wait...you know what? never mind.
BIC: The NYPD officers inside the boatyard were bored as hell. There were no recent transfers to Rikers, and there had also been on recent riots, to the dismay of the small SWAT team posted there. So they found it odd when someone in a NYPD uniform was knocking on the door to the boatyard, claiming that something was going down. "What do you mean by that?" the officer on duty, Sgt. Bronson said to the cop at the door through the comm system. "I mean that somebody just took down the two officers outside the yard. I was on patrol and saw them downed, so I decided to investigate." "All right...I'll be right out there to take a look." Bronson unlocked the door...and that's when all hell broke loose. The "cop", really Wolf in disguise, kicked in the door and stunned Bronson with a shot from the Omni-Falcon. As the other officers scrambled for their weapons, the rest of the Cyber Force, disgised as cops (except Monk), crashed through windows and/or followed Wolf through the door, guns drawn. "All right!" Wolf shouted. "Nobody moves and you all get out of here safely." Nobody moved, except for one SWAT trooper who tried to hit the alarm button. He found his hand pinned to the wall by a shuriken thrown by Kaitlin. "Anyone else here that wishes to try and be a hero?" Wolf asked. Nobody moved an inch. "Good." He turned to Wraith. "Get them tied up and have them sedated." as Wraith moved to do that, Wolf fired a series of taser bulllets into the alarm and communication computers, wrecking them. He then turned to Monk, who had just walked in through the ruined front door. "All right. Let's go." *** 2 minutes later Wolf had taken a police patrol boat, along with some rapelling gear he "borrowed" from the SWAT team's equipment lockers, out to the middle of the East River, just on the edge of Rikers's security net of searchlights. He and Monk waited for Coyote's hacking to shut down the net. "Beowulf, what's the status on the security field?" he asked. "Analysis shows it's being overloaded and overextended. Shutdown is only a matter of time." Sure enough, mere seconds later the searchlights flickered and went out, giving Wolf clear access to the walls of the island prison. He pulled the boat up to some shoreline, and lofted a rapelling rope with grapnel up onto the wall. "Okay," he said to Monk. "There's your way in. Try to find Jade quickly. She's either in the George R. Vierno Maximum Security center, or the Rose M. Singer Female Detention center. One more thing..." Wolf held a PDAP out to Monk. "This is Jade's PDAP. Give it to her when you find her, because it will allow her to establish radio contact with everyone. Now, get up there...and good luck." OOC: Cue up "Axel F" |
OOC: We circled. For the best time to strike....er....yah.
IC: Angel scambled up it as well, but also manually climbed to the top using horrible hand holds after he passed the window that the grappling hook was in. Finally, he got onto the roof, got hidden, and commed over, "I'm in position." |
OOC: Wait a minute. If Angel is here, and Wraith is here...then that leaves 2 people to guard the boatyard...goddamn. The idea was not to have everybody go in. There's a reason it's called a rear guard, people. I guess it's not too bad though, but Wraith now has to stay in the boat as the wheelman.
|
Monk nodded at his two companions. "Wraith, I'll see you soon." He took the PDAP and stuffed it in his pocket along with the paper map. "Thanks... if anything, this will give me more incentive." He shook Wolf's hand. "Don't die out there. I'm gonna need you to escort us out. You know the codec signal." He grinned once more, then turned to the wall, "I'll be on it all night."
He took one of the ropes and tossed it up the wall, it latching to the top. Tugging it to make sure it was secure, he started up the wall. |
Devin set about to hog-tying their prisoners with the neverending stash of flexi-cuffs he seemed to have. After stripping off their body armor and layering it in a makeshift shell around them, he whipped out his "Voice-o-matic", as he called it. Then he turned to the guy wearing sergeant's stripes.
"All right, Sarge, sing "Mary Had A Little Lamb." He was rewarded for his efforts by a storm of angry cursing. Devin smiled sweetly. "Thank you sergeant, that will do very nicely." He taped their mouths shut, then waited for the inevitable comms check. "Riker Home to Fishpond, radio check, over." Devin thumbed the Voice-o-matic on, then spoke back in the snarling voice of the sergeant. "Fishpond to Riker Home, read you loud and clear, over." "Riker Home to Fishpond, out." There was a slight crackle of static as Riker Home hung up, and Devin breathed a sigh of relief. He amused himself by unloading the mags from the SWAT team's weaponry and loading some very nasty spiked ammuntion into them. Based on riot team glop rounds, they would completely gum up the bolt when fired. It would be a nice surprise in case somebody wanted to try an insurrection. |
Wolf waited for a few seconds after Monk vanished over the wall before he started climbing. Just before he did, he made sure the boat was still moored to the shoreline, then he climbed up the rope and over the wall. Sliding down on the other side, Wolf landed with ninja like silence, which was not easy to do considering he was carrying 5 guns with him. He instantly took note of his surroundings. He saw the tower he wanted to get a vantage point in was occupied by one guard, and that there was a second guard on patrol near the tower.
Hmm...even in this low light it'll be hard to get to the tower without that guard noticing something...what to do... He then noticed an object on the ground and a plan began to form in his head. *** The guard at the base of the tower was busy listening to comm chatter between the prison warden and the mechanic teams. "I can't explain it sir...a generator must have blown." "Could be. Good thing we have those backups to keep the cells from opening. Go check it out." "I'm already on it." the lead mechanic said. As the mechanic signed off the guard thought he head something. He quickly turned around...only to see that there was nothing there...nothing except a cardboard box. I must be hearing things he thought as he turned around. Suddenly the cardboard box leapt into the air as Wolf came out from under it and knocked out the guard with a chop to the neck. The killer box strikes again! Wolf thought as the guard slumped to the ground. He then stuffed the inert guard into the box and hid the box in the shadows before proceeding to the tower. As quietly as possible he climbed up it. Using the IR feature on his shades, he could see the guard hadn't moved from his watchdog position in the tower, sniper rifle held across the shoulder. Wolf made it up the last few rungs so that he could now see the guard in his LOS. slowly drawing his Omni-Falcon he said clearly. "Your relief is here." "I don't remember there being any, what the?" the guard asked as he turned around. It was the last thing he said before Wolf incapacitated him with the shock bullet. Moving the knocked out guard to the side, Wolf took out his KI-550, assembled it, and got into position in the tower, watching Monk move towards his goal. "All right Monk. I've got you covered." he said into the CODEC. "You know what to do." |
Dropping on the ground he took a quick look around. No one was moving, the place was dark. Taking a quick peek at his hand only inches from his face, he grinned. "Can't see it. Good... if I can't see me, neither can they." He rushed for a door on the opposite side of the place. He was in the playground of a prison, now empty of life.
He pulled out the map of the place and studied it for a minute. Wolf said to check in these two areas of the prison, George R. Vierno Maximum Security center, or the Rose M. Singer Female Detention center. He leaned his back up on the wall and traced a path that the door lead. Apparently following this hall will bring me to both areas. I'm going to go through the Female detention area, then going throuigh there will get me to the max area. Folding up the map and stuffing it back in, he began to debate with himself. All right... they are going to want to keep her safe in there. Putting 2 and 2 together, she's going to be in the maximum area, not the female detention area. Although... she is a female, so it would only be right to put her there... but maybe that's what they want. They know that I'm going to search the maximum area for her. Wait a minute... what if they know that I knnow what they know that they are going to hide her... hide... AH! Screw it! I'm going to look in both areas!! Pushing himself through the door and seeing the long hallway leading into nothingness, he was reminded of his mind. The long hallway leadinginto his room of fears, and how he just walked though it. He would do the same here. Reaching for the knob leading to the room of fears, giving it a twist and a push, he was awaked with a bright light. "What the? Who's there!?" Monk rolled on the ground, up along the wall and behind the guard, pinching a nerve in his neck causing him to crumple on the ground. I need to get back in the game. I have a misson to do He picked up the body and dragged him to a broom closet. Tossing him inside, he procedded on his way deeper into the prison. The rest of the path went on without a hitch, in fact it seemed that no one was out on patrol. It was either they were all keeping the prisoners in check, or they were guarding one specific area. Monk smiled at the second option. More of a challange... He shook his head violently as he found the door marked "Max Holding Area". What's going on? No... stay calm and focused! He had spent a few minutes looking through the entire area of the female prison. He may have been a monk, but even he liked what he saw... in some cases... But he was getting ahead of himself. He wasn't himself tonight, but he still had a job to do, no matter who he was. Creaking the door to the max area and taking a quick peek into the room, no one stepped to stop him. No one was in the room. Why is no one here? Where the heck is everyone!? He took a few steps into the massive room. There were cells lined up on each side, a glass room oppsite where he was standing. That's where the guards sit, along with the cell locks and line up sheet. Making sure he was in the darkness and getting in the glass fortress he looked up the sheet, but Jade was not on it. Impossible... she wasn't in the other area, I double checked! Wait... they wouldn't put her name on the list. He poked his head out of the door and looked around for a sign. Where is she? Where... is... she!? That's when he saw a silver lining in one of the cells. But it wasn't lining... it was... hair? He rushed over to the cell and grabbed the bars, a back of a body facing him. "J... Jade? Please tell me it's you..." |
"J... Jade? Please tell me it's you..."
Jade didn't even turn around. The voice was familiar but she didn't care. t could have been one of the guards. "Go away, I have nothing more to tell you..." She hugged her knees to her chest and her eye began to twitch as she still felt the presence of someone outside her cell. She sharply turned around. "I've had about enough of you stupid....oh...my...god." He looked a little different, but Jade could swear that Monk was standing in front of her. "Please tell me you're not a dream..." |
