OOC: IT CONTINUES...
"Hello, asshole." Wolf said as he leveled the sub-gun at the General. "Greetings to you too, deserter." Kreish responded as he spun and drew a Golden .357 Magnum Revolver and leveled it at Wolf. "The police uniform doesn't really suit you..." "Well, that uniform suits you quite well you traitorous bastard." Wolf shot back. "Traitor is such a harsh word...I prefer, circumstantial ally." "Explain how it is that you're not dead and you're now working for Mastermind." Wolf said, wagging the TMP for emphasis. Behind Kreish, Wolf could see Jade and Monk moving up behind the General, but they had stopped now. So far, Kreish hadn't noticed them. "It's quite simple. When you shot me...I more or less died." Kreish said. "However, Mastermind managed to get a hold of my body and revive me with some nanites. As soon as I awoke, he had a proposition for me. As long as I work for him, I'd be able to get my revenge on you, Jade, and the rest of the Cyber Force." "And what does Mastermind get out of that, besides our deaths?" "Well, basically after you all die here, I get to reassume command of Cyber Force, and eventually lead the rest of them to their demise. Of course, If I don't do this Mastermind shuts off the nanites keeping me alive, which would kill me...but oh well." "So...you decided to sell out humanity to satisfy your personal vendetta." Wolf said. "Well...I can't let you do that, and I've got 30 friends in this gun here who are willing to help me stop you." "Heh...even if you do get off a shot, what makes you think I won't fire first?" Kriesh said. "And this isn't any ordinary magnum...no. Mastermind has upgraded it with a special barrel that will always propel its shots with lethal force, no matter where they hit. I doubt even you will survive one shot from this cannon." "As long as I kill you...it won't matter what happens to me." Wolf said. "You won't do it. You don't want to leave Kaitlin behind here all alone...do you?" Wolf scowled. "I knew it. So now here it stands; your attempt to rescue Jade and keep her out of Mastermind's hands has only resulted in her capture. And instead of keeping the Cyber Force safe, you have just managed to turn them and yourself over to me. Calmly...cooly...entirely without incident." Wolf gripped the TMP tightly. "No...not without incident." he said. Moving as fast as he could he lofted the gun towards Jade while he reached with his right hand and drew his Omni-Falcon. The Omni-Falcon and Kreish's magnum roared almost at the same time. Since Wolf had done a quick draw, his shot only managed to slam into Kreish's right shin, causing the general to stumble and drop to a knee. Kreish's shot however, plowed into Wolf's chest, the force of the blow sending Wolf flying backwards into a wall, where he slumped down in a heap. But, even as Kreish tried to stand back up and grab the TMP-75, it sailed over his head and headed right for Jade. |
Jade caught the gun and in one fluid motion pointed it at Kreish's head. "Dodge this!" She fired one clean shot into his head. A trail of blood left his forehead as he slumped to the ground. A wheeze left his mouth. "Still alive are you? Not for long." Jade then proceeded to unload the clip into Kriesh's chest without flinching. She then spat on his carcass and dropped the gun. Running over to Wolf she knelt by him, "are you ok?"
|
Wolf stirred and slowly got up into a sitting position. "Yeah...I'm fine." he said to Jade as he reached underneath his NYPD uniform and extracted a flattened .357 round.
"He didn't know I was wearing some of Knight's nanoarmor under this." he said, pointing over at Kreish's bullet riddled corpse. "It stopped the bullet from even harming me...of course...kinetic force still hurts like hell." He stood up and looked over Jade's handiwork "Hmm...nice job. All 30 bullets hit. Nice to see you haven't lost it. Let's just hope that Nancy Sinatra was right when she said 'you only live twice'." Wolf picked up the fallen general's magnum and holstered it. Rifling through the corpse's pockets, he found two reloads for it, both on speed loaders. "Excellent. This should come in handy soon." he said as he pocketed the ammo. He then took out his .45, ejected the taser rounds from it, and loaded up the lethal bullets. He then reloaded the TMP-75 with another clip of lethal rounds, and handed the .45 and the TMP to Jade, along with the extra clip for the .45. "You asked for guns earlier...here ya go." Wolf said. "Now, we should get out of here, becuase things are really getting ugly." A few explosions from outside punctuated his statement. he then got a quick message out to Devin. "We're coming out of the prison...what's your status?" Of course, due to jamming, it came out as "...Coming out...what's...status?" |
Quote:
And of course, the jamming mangled it into "...On...way...1...L...status?" |
Monk's eye twitched as he saw the general's corpse lying in the ground, blood and guts everywhere.
It was really a sight to see. It was all a beautiful mess, the way that the blood was sprayed all about the body, the holes that let in a nice view of the human body, well, what was left of it anyway. Monk knelt down and moved a flap of skin covering the General's chest, one piece that wasn't gone. Tossing the magled scrap away he smiled as he saw his heart. Lifeless. How he wanted so to rip it out and squeeze the organ in his hand, watching all the blood squirt out of the veins. He would then toss that aside and work the rest of the anatomy, checking parts and taking a close look at them, finding out just how they work by taking them apart, or quashing them so that the General couldn't come back. The bastard... The once cool headed man shot his head up and looked around. What was wrong with him? After the scan of the area, he looked himself over, the black Outfit he was weating, the dragons running up and down his legs, them bleeding... Others blood. He hadn't taken a hit all day today, common practice for a myth like him. Myth like me? No... I destroyed him. He is gone from my life! Why am I reverting back to him? Falling to his knees, the blood a comfortable mat for his knees to sit. Why do people have to die? |
(( For being the current XO, I sure don't have a lot to do... O.o ))
Wraith checked a few readouts and went over to Devin's side, stumbling because of the way the jet was swishing about. Waiting for Wolf's answer, he put a hand on the instrument panel next to Devin and leaned in. |
Angel snapped over the comm, "Cry for Kreish later, JUST MOVE NOW!"
He didn't know how much came through, and he didn't care. Two bullets fired out from a window somewhere below him. Moving as fast as he could, he ran at the edge, attached his line, and leapt over, sailing a good two meters past. The pendulum effect got hold, and whipped him back at the building. Mouth agape, the Death Squad sniper saw Angel whip at him. Angel smashed through the window, kicking the man flying back. There was a clicking as he shot the man twice, then the bullet jammed. He emptied the chamber, and slung it aside. Calmly, he pulled out his launcher, pulled the stock out, and aimed with a smoke grenade. A squad of about 25 Death Squad were trying to pin Wolf and crew. Angel fired the first smoke grenade, reloaded in record time, then dropped a second. "Buying you cover right now, boss man." Still attached to his line, he reloaded his G36C, then jumped out the window again. Except this time, his feet hit stone, and he sprinted down the side of the building, firing at any Death Squad he could see. It didn't kill them, but force them to get down. |
"Hey, Wraith, we're expecting four people, right? Wolf, Angel, that weird monkish guy and your ex-boss, right? If that's the case, I'll need to prepare an extra rappelling line. I was expecting 3 people, but then Angel went and jumped the gun... Take over for me, willya?"
Devin bounced out of the seat and went tot he cargo compartment, grabbing a length of cable and attaching it to a fourth miniature winch, then connecting a stirrup to it so they wouldn't have to shimmy up the thing in fins like Devin used to. |
Wolf made a mental note to beat the living hell out of Angel later for shouting into the CODEC, which sounded roughly like a bomb going off inside his skull, and then he realized that they really did have to get out while the smokescreen was still up.
He looked back at the catatonic Monk, and he almost sighed out loud. Why does this always happen when we least want it to? He thought. He grabbed Monk and slung him over his shoulder. "We can talk him out of this later," he said to Jade. "Right now we need to clear an LZ and get the hell out of dodge." With that he started running towards the smoke. He tapped his shades, bringing the IR feature back into play. Firing the Laptop Gun one-handed, Wolf dropped 3 Death Guard. Seeking cover behind a DOC hummer, Wolf placed Monk on the ground out of harm's way, and went back to shooting. A couple more Death Guard fell, then Wolf barely missed being flayed alive by a Death Guard trooper weilding a flamethrower. Wolf ducked under the jet of flame, and then knocked the flamethrower aside with a kick to the enemy's right arm. Then Wolf punched the soldier in the throat, and with one nano-augmented roundhouse kick sent the trooper flying across the courtyard. Wolf drew his Omni-Falcon and lined his sights up on the flying Death Guard soldier. "Burn asshole!!!" Wolf shouted as he fired, his bullet piercing the napalm tanks on the trooper's back, incinerating him and bathing the concrete in flame, catching a few more Death Guard in the inferno that followed. Wolf contacted Devin again, noticing that the jamming wasn't as strong anymore. "We're near a rather big fire in the central coutyard. I need you to land near there. LZ is hot, in more ways than one." Going back behind cover and laying down a line of fire with the laptop gun, Wolf waited for the Phantom to arrive. |
Angel reached the bottom, and jumped off the wall, simontaneously unhinging his line. This tossed him through the air and landed him right behind the most immediate Death Squad.
His gun transformed into a roar of gunfire as he gunned them all down. Shouting was heard from behind him, and he yanked out his launcher and fired another smoke grenade to cover himself. Quickly he dashed over and jumped and slid over the hood of the hummer before being roughly dropped next to Wolf. He scrambled over to a better spot. "Hell of a time, eh?" He reloaded his G36, then peeked over. A second troop-transport was making landfall. "How many of these guys does Mastermind have?" |
Devin finished setting up the last cable, and he turned to Wraith and Kaitlin.
"Wraith! Stand by to receive them! Kaitlin! Use the Phantom's VTOL jets to keep it steady over the ground! We don't have time to do a proper landing, so I'm going to throw 4 SERE retrieval ladders over the side! Once I give the signal, pull straight up!" He flicked on his CODEC. "Wolf, I'm going to drop 4 lines for everyone. Give me somewhere clear so I can extract you ASAP!" |
Jade was busy with firing at the incoming Death Guard with the TMP when Angel fell out of the sky right next to them. "Angel, nice to see you again, and in the most favorable of situations." She laid down a spray of fire while Angel took cover. A Death Guard managed to get by her fire, only to be met by a knee to the gut and an uppercut. "Wolf, I hope you have the cavalry coming soon."

There was the sound of humming, starting very low and then gradually getting louder. The power seems to flicker for a moment, then finally blinks out as all the prison's security systems fail. Sitting in the corner of the cell, the dark shape lifts its head, awoken from its slumber. Listening to the shouts growing louder outside as guards struggle to find out what's going on, the mouth twists slowly into a grin.
It's time to escape. Rising to its feet and cracking its knuckles, the form steps forward and feels power rush through as nanites that have long been inactive for years suddenly click back to life, granting immense power. *** With one mighty punch the door to the cell breaks clean from its hinges and flies through the air, throwing chunks of stone and screws with it. The door clangs loudly to the ground, drawing the immediate attention of guards up the stairwell. They rush down to see what the commotion is about, and see a woman standing outside her cell, about five feet five and lean. One of the guards wonders to himself, So that's what the prisoner in there looks like... Looking up from her feet one can see that she's barefoot, wearing a simple bluish-white pair of pants that don't seem to have been washed in months, and a shirt that's been ripped up and tied around her chest like a bandana. Her long, straight black hair hangs down all around her, reaching her knees before stopping. Her dark skin and flat nose betray her black heritage, while her eyes, hair, and general body structure and again, skin color show her Latino and Asian mixes. And across her back from her shoulder blades to the small of it, there is a large tattoo, bearing the unmistakable emblem of the First Order. The two guards rush down, riot batons drawn as they get ready to subdue her. She turns towards them, and effortlessly parries the first man's strike, then almost lazily thrusts her palm upwards, shattering his nose and sending bone fragments into his brain. As he drops to the floor dead, the other guard comes up to her and swings with his baton, hitting her square in the head. To his surprise, she tenses, but doesn't move. Her head hangs slightly lower, and now looks up at him with a slight grin. He draws back and ignites the tazer mode, then thrusts the prod into her stomach with the power on full, grunting as he pushes it into her. Again she tenses up, and nothing happens. He looks down at the prod, then back up at her, then back down and up again just in time to see her thrust her palm at his chest. It's the last thing he sees, as his chest cavity completely caves in from the force of the blow, his organs deforming and bursting from the immense stress. His body lifts from the ground and flies straight back, impacting on the far opposite wall with a mighty crash that actually shakes the entire section of the prison. Concrete cracks and caves in around him, or at least, what's left of him. Where once there was a man's body there's now a bag of blood, organs and guts spilt everywhere and a bloody stump at the top of the neck where the head used to be, now a bloody bag that's sliding down his body. The rock crumbles down around him and eventually clatters out onto the floor, forming a grave for him. She simply walks past it, feeling ecstatic for the first time in... well, forever. *** A few thoughts cross her mind as she walks up the steps, mostly centering around how she's had no contact with anyone in years. Her nanites had been turned off long ago, soon after she'd gotten herself thrown into solitary permanently, since she knew a day would come when she would have a chance at escape... and now that the day had finally come, the only thing she can think of is blood. Lots of it. She wants to kill, for the first time in a very long time. *** As she crests the last few steps to the courtyard, she hears sirens begin to go off as prison security finally wakes up to what's happening in their exercise yard. Stepping out to look around, she sees smoke, flames, and gunfire going off all around her. She doesn't care that a lot of the people she doesn't recognize, only that she came out here in the first place wanting a fight, and now she's going to get one. She walks forwards towards the firefight, but Death Squad troops begin rushing out of a door just to her right and behind her. She spins back to look, and sees one man running up to her with his combat knife drawn. He raises it up to strike, but she just yanks her arm back and backhands his face, decapitating him easily. His comrades watch his headless corpse fall to the ground in shock and stop in their tracks, then look up and cower as she turns and faces them. "Fire!" one of the sergeants yells, unloading on full auto his submachine gun. His men follow suit, and a hailstorm of bullets rains down on her. However, she simply tenses up again, fists and jaw and everything clenched tight as she hardens her body against their attack. After all their clips run out they stare in absolute horror and surprise as she relaxes and lifts her head to them again, grinning wider. "Fire ba--AACK!" The sergeant never knew what hit him as she rushes over in an instant and punches him, splitting his body completely in two and sending the upper half into a backwards spiral until it hits the far wall with a sick *thump*. She moves fast now -- faster than anything imaginable -- kicking, punching, and snapping the soldiers' necks with relative ease given her strength. In less than four seconds, all eight men lie dead, their bodies and parts of their bodies scattered about the area. She looks around them, fists loose at her sides. She smiles again at the carnage she's wrought, then finally turns back and walks into the battle, disappearing into the thick smoke clouds. *** A stray bullet from a dying troop ricochets off the plane, and Wraith opens the channel again. "And you'd better make it quick, 'cause I don't know how much longer it'll be until somebody notices us up here!" *** Down below, the Cyber Force fights valiantly, but the observant soldier would soon see a strange, and disturbing sight. *** A Mastermind soldier fires madly towards the CF, trying to get them to pin down long enough for his fellow troopers to get in good fire, when he hears a sound behind him. Instinctively he spins around, firing, but hits nothing but air as she darts to the side to dodge and come up behind him, where she snaps his neck... not just breaking it, but spinning it completely around on his shoulders so that it faces backwards. A horrible scream, frozen forever in time, is locked on his face as his body falls backwards onto his now-dislocated head. The rest of the men with him turn and see him killed so viciously, and immediately open fire. She twists and dodges each bullet, then stands still again when they run out of ammo, a series of afterimages following her wake. "What the hell is she!?" one asks, reloading and falling back. "She can't be an Agent--GAH!" The second never gets to answer, since she picks up a fallen piece of sharp wood and thrusts it at him, piercing his body at the heart like a spear and continuing through the chest of the soldier behind him. In a blur she runs down the line of soldiers, knocking heads clean off bodies with kicks and punches, blazing a one-woman path of terror and destruction. For the first time in their lives, Mastermind's vaunted Death Squad felt fear, as they'd finally met a force more lethal than the Agents they already respected. Within seconds a dozen Mastermind troops are dead, and the smoke begins to clear in the space between them and the Cyber Force. Hearing the gunfire die down, they lean back out again and fire madly towards the Death Squad, hitting a couple of the visible ones, who don't even appear to be worried about them. Wraith sees the troops begin turning back and fight something else as the second Mastermind transport lands and disembarks a load of troops. "...What in the bloody hell are they doin'?" he asks no one in particular. As the smoke clears more, the Cyber Force can see a massive commotion happening near the transport, then suddenly a head bounces off the hood of the car and lands next to Angel, rolling a bit in the dirt before stopping. On the man's face is an expression of complete fear and horror. Almost as if on cue, a terrorized scream comes from the transport, and now an entire body flies over their heads and lands some distance away, rolling in the dirt. It's obvious from its shape that both his arms have been torn out and that his body is mangled, from the way his clothes and body armor are flapping about. Near the transport she works like a blur, killing Mastermind troops left and right. It seems nothing can stop her. *** The camera feed from the transport's internal sensors reaches Mastermind, and he watches with both disgust and curiosity. Hmmm... so... she never did die, did she? ...Smith. "Yes?" "Find out everything you can about her. She isn't as deceased as we thought she was." Smith's left cheek twitches as he clenches his jaw, but he bows his head in obedience. "I will." He leaves the room with a lump in his throat to do as he was asked. |
***
She forces the troops back, taking bullets and hits as if they're nothing. Wraith had decided that he needed to see what was happening and had attached a fifth rappelling line, and slid down it to the ground. If Wolf asks, he's going to tell him he wanted to assist their retrieval. Aiming his gun, he sees a woman's back turned to him, dressed in what looks like prison garb. His eye squints at her curiously, then looks down at her hands, watching blood run off them onto the ground. He then looks around her at the carnage, seeing an entire platoon of Mastermind Death Squad lying dead at her feet. Taking in some of the sights, he almost retches, but his attention is quickly brought back to him as shots ring out clearly across the courtyard. Everything falls silent for a moment, and she stands still. Eventually she looks down, breathing raggedly, and watches as four holes in her chest seal up and heal completely, within seconds. Wraith can hardly believe his eyes. She smiles and looks up to see more troops rushing at her from across the yard, then stoops down and takes one of the soldiers' guns, and uses it to fire at the squad, killing the whole lot of them as they rush out at her, a twisted grin on her face. Wraith blanches and feels his heart fall into his stomach. Oh, shit... this is NOT going to be good... Finally the shooting stops and the woman drops the gun in the dirt, laughing to herself as she revels in the joy of it. Her head lifts up to the transport and she stops laughing, however. Her entire expression suddenly becomes worried, and she walks towards it, hoping that her eyes are only playing tricks with her, the whole time with her back and tattoo facing towards everyone. As she walks up the ramp, however, her fears are confirmed: it's a Mastermind transport, and she'd just killed an entire platoon of some of his best troops. While she doesn't care at all about the soldiers, she grits her teeth and scowls, knowing that Mastermind might very well try to have her exterminated... or worse, reeducated. Seeing a gun next to her, she picks it up and screams mightily, firing round upon round into the cockpit until all the controls are smashed. With only a couple rounds left, she looks up at a camera and pauses, then shoots it out with the last bullet, and finally drops the gun on the ground. Eventually she walks out of the transport and into silence, until a single bullet whips through the air and pierces her heart. She gasps and steps back, using enhanced vision to look up at the tower walls, where a prison sniper had gotten off a lucky shot. She gasps again twice before the wound heals, and she finally looks out to see the Phantom and the Cyber Force staring at her from across the way. (( ...Please don't hurt me! ._. )) |
"What the FUCK is that?"
Devin clutched his MP5. Suddenly the ++P rounds didn't seem so lethal after all. |
"I... I don't know... I..." Wraith answers over the comm, his arm shaking.
He tries to watch her, but he repeatedly comes back to the image of the First Order tattoo on her back. Now, he's seen horrors. He's seen terror. He's faced Agents and beat them. But this... this he just can't handle. God... we're dead if she decides to come for us... |
OOC: AHHHHH!!!! What in seven hells? Who is this...why didn't you...I...uh...hurt you? Of course I'm going to hurt you! Who is this crazy chic and whhy didn't you pm me about her first? She's going to kill us all. Oooooh *points finger* squirrely wrath is coming!
|
(( Weeep... o.o;
It all depends on ya'll now, though... you can either make an enemy of her or an ally. I left it kinda open. ^-^' )) |
*Is aching to try out nerve gas grenades and anti-nanotech weaponry...*
|
OOC: Is aching to run like hell!!!
BIC: Wolf was standing stock still...scared out of his mind. Was this what it was like to see Myth attack people? he thought as he looked at the carnage. No...not quite. Myth didn't have nanotechnology so advanced he couldn't get killed by bullets. Besides which...most of his kills were stealthy. This is just...oh shit she's seen us. Wolf looked down at the still catatonic Monk. Thank God he's out of it...otherwise he'd probably want to fight this thing. "So...uh...what the hell do we do now?" Kaitlin asked from the Phantom. "Right now...we...make...with the running..." Wolf said as he started backing away towards the transport. "Have Beowulf get the Phantom's gun turrets online and start firing at that thing to slow it down..." "Way ahead of you" Beowulf said as the forward .50 caliber turret on the Phantom deployed and began to draw a bead on the abominaton. "okay...everybody...RUN!!!!" Wolf shouted as he grabbed Monk, slung him over his shoulder and scrambled up one of the SERE ladders. Everyone else on the ground followed him quickly. Wolf didnt' check to see if she was coming after them, but since the turret was silent, he guessed that she wasn't. As soon as everyone was aboard, Beowulf assumed control and sent the craft flying back towards Chicago. "Can't this thing go any faster!!??" Wolf asked frantically. "She can't fly, you fool!" "Are you really sure you want to say that just yet?" Wolf asked. "Right now, we need to get the hell away from that thing!" |
