Discussion: Battle of Castle Doom

Okies, this might just become a neglected little thing, but personally, there is waaaaay too much OOCliness in the real thread that it's becoming confusing.

So instead of writing OOC: and all that crap in the beginning of our posts, maybe we should discuss what will happen and whatnot in here? That way, once we've cleared some mishaps, we can straighten the path to questing and all....

Current Characters alive and status:
Arthus (unsure)
Charcion (blind, suicidal)
Wind (mmm... sleepy)
Aeris (Conscious and hurting like crazy)
Nezurahl (technically dead, but inside a crystal?)

Current Characters dead:
Notikas
Nezurahl (dead?)

Minor characters:
Hoard of undead ("dead")
Arthur's apocalypse knight army (less than a quarter alive)
Rain (alive... technically)
Breeze (alive... technically)
Chasm (alive... technically)
Vosh (alive)
Rage (technically dead, off to be reborn at the Volcano of the Phoenix)

((list will change as battle progresses))

Dante 08-31-2004 12:06 AM

What was the original premsie of this battle, may I ask?

Kildare 08-31-2004 12:52 AM

Rhiya: There you go again, stealing all that glory by making this new thread under your name.....grrr.........................

LOL, just j/k. From now on, let ME make the new threads...

And the name's ARTHUS, not ARTHUR....

Dante: Premsie? LOL. If you're talking about the thread where we do battle, then you must be blind.......It's RIGHT in PLAIN VIEW, you nimrod! :P

Dante 08-31-2004 01:00 AM

So.. it's nothing more than a free-for-all battle thread? No point beyond simply killing each other off and god-moding?

*shrugs*

Fair enough.

Kildare 08-31-2004 04:16 AM

Well...........that WAS it's original purpose. But the RP became so interesting that we decided to make into a story with a twisting plot, or at least continue convert the battle into a full-scale war..:P

PhoenixFlame 08-31-2004 05:10 AM

You might change my status to something more like, Oh, I dont know, "Imperiled?"
Other than that, great idea in making a discussion thread.
And yes, Rhyia, your a darned hypocrite :p but it was still the logical thing.
So... if anyone has any questions about what my spell does, I'll try and explain. ;)
Dante: It was more going to be an epic-level battle between good and evil, and yeah, we've been a bit overpowered, but people still die, so its not godmodding 100%.

Arhra 08-31-2004 05:17 AM

In fact if notihng happens pretty soon, everyone dies. Fun eh? Its taking on increasing story elements though so it looks like most people will survive. I have thought of a way for your character to survive Phoenix and all it involves is you striking Nezurahl down. It might be a bit trciky, seeing how Aeris was just stabbed. The two spells should cancel to a degree I think.

PhoenixFlame 08-31-2004 05:32 AM

Mmm. interesting. I was just going to have my spell destroy yours, and maybe kill Nezurahl, and then maybe I'd still be intact enough for my Phoenix medallion to do it's thing. Shoulda killed me and let the spell smite you like no-one has ever been smote before :p

"Just simply striking him down" is easier said than done. You have to understand, this is a big spell, if I do survive it, I'll be so weak, a goblin could push me over, and claim victory.

EDIT:
Fun Fact!

Found this on the DnD forums.

/calculation
Edymnion's earth HP caculations
Diameter of Earth: 7,926 miles.
Volume of a sphere: 4/3¶r3

1 mile = 5,280 feet
Diameter of Earth in feet = 41,849,280
Radius of Earth in feet= 20,924,640

Volume of Earth = 38,350,692,339,098,893,737,984 cubic feet

Unworked Stone has 900hp for every 10'x10'x5' section.
Thats 900 hp per 500 cubic feet.

Hitpoints of Earth = 69,031,246,210,378,008,728,371 hp

So all you have to do is find a spell that can do a little over 69 sextillion points of damage to objects, and you can destroy the earth.

Oh yeah, and it has a Hardness of 35. /end calculation

Yep. It takes a heckufa powerful epic spell to destroy the world. We're talking big spells here. Realllybig.

fub 08-31-2004 12:42 PM

Yeah but all the gobbies flew away and the dwarves went "blargh I am daed" in one post because stik was super uptight about losing one or two goblins. Also If this went to a story rp I could throw in a new charector

Sorry if i'm taking this a bit off topic, but to destroy earth, you'd have to have like All the mages in the world be able to cast "Vengeful Wrath Of God," which does 305d6 in a 1000 ft radius, I think. Of course it would kill all of the mages as well, since it does 200d6 to the caseter, but still.
