Now isn't the time nor the place to discuss that. And I didn't know of Steve L. until after I made Steven L. He is actually based off a character with the same name that I had in a game years ago.

Remember people that we don't want to make posts that are only two or oneliners. Remember that!

If I may be so bold, especially this late in the game, I would like to throw my hat in as the stereotypical Not Exactly Evil Person Who Wants To Kill The Hero Over Some Dumb Thing That Happened In School.

Name: Sarah Sayalle
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black and long, the center part of it is braided, but the rest hangs free
Height: 5'4"
Usually wearing: When she doesn't expect a fight, she just goes around in whatever she feels like wearing, usually something very overpriced. However, in preparation for a fight, she dons a red and yellow suit recommended to her by an old friend...the same old friend she now wants to take the soul of.
Affiliated with: nobody.
Enemies: The One.
Allies: Several private detectives she pays.
Soul Crystals: One full with the soul Astrabelle, and one empty.
Purpose in Life: Revenge!
Brief Bio: Although rich, Sarah was never the most popular girl in school. This may be due to the fact that she was one of the two biggest RP geeks in town. No prizes for guessing who the other one was. The two of them had many campaigns together, and even sparred with swords on occasion. Then came graduation day, and the two were to go their separate ways. One last dungeon run was scheduled. Courtney, being the wily DM she was, threw everything she had at Sarah's party. Monsters, mages, and of course THE TRAP. As Sarah was playing a barbarian, she was the one to fall into THE TRAP. She emerged enraged, and vowed to sooner or later get revenge. At first she only meant to get Our Hero back on the D&D grid, but soon Sarah became obsessed with her complete destruction, preferably face-to-face. Around that time, the mega-corporation Xenarc, which used souls in various ways for money, threw away a soul crystal they found useless. While wandering the street, plotting her revenge, Sarah saw the soul crystal laying in a Dumpster. Upon contact with it, she knew she had found her secret weapon. Now, to find the elusive Courtney...

Powers:
Fusion with Astrabelle: Sarah can fuse with Astrabelle to increase her skill in military strategy (useless, no troops), magic, and swordfighting. However, she cannot use Astrabelle's full power, as Astrabelle is a pure soul, and Sarah has been corrupted by her obsession. When not in fusion, Sarah is an ordinary mortal with no other powers.
Light Healing: A low-level cure spell.
Soul Freeze: A low-level cold spell that chills the soul of the enemy.
Sense Familiar: Astrabelle can sense souls that she once knew, whether in a soul crystal or reincarnated into a new life.
Sunlight Blade: The swordfighting style Astrabelle was proficient in when alive, it bears resemblance to that of Western fencing, but emphasizes more body motion.

Tools of the Trade:
The Suit: Although it doesn't actually do anything magical, when Sarah wears it into combat she moves quicker and strikes harder because she gets pumped up.
The Sword: A simple Chinese longsword taken from the family collection. This is what Sarah trained with, and is also close enough to Astrabelle's native weapon for proficiency. It is usually worn with The Suit, and comes with its matching scabbard.
The Soul: Astrabelle was a guerilla leader in some other realm. She and her rebels overthrew two wizardly despots, but the more powerful of the two cursed her soul to never pass into the afterlife. Thus, soul crystal. As stated before, Astrabelle's soul is pure.
The Cell: What rich girl wouldn't be complete without a cell phone? She uses this to keep in touch with the detectives searching for her nemesis, and also to call them for aid when she's in really deep trouble.

Strengths: Strong will, soul fusion ability, really freaking rich
Weaknesses: Weak when unfused, certifiably insane, has no damn idea what she's getting herself into

...well, that's Sarah, version three. Completely the opposite of the previous RP incarnations of Sarah, who were both The Good Guys. So, what do you think, sirs and mortal enemy?

Thaumaturge 09-12-2004 10:55 AM

Hmm... It's a nice idea. Ultimately, I think that I'm going to defer this to you, RD, since it affects your character the most.

For myself, I have no objections, other than that it should probably wait for a new chapter (should one appear). I am, however, open to argument on this.

Cloud Strife 09-13-2004 12:48 AM

Ok, I have an announcement. This Thursday, Sept. 16, to this coming Sunday, Sept. 19, I am going to be camping. Thus, an utter lack of internet access accompanies this. So, during that time, I will have an utter lack of posts. But, during that time, RD, I officially give you permission to NPC Azeran. That being said, I'll try to come back into the RP as smoothly as possible. Just remember, i'm not leaving until the 16th.

Dante 09-13-2004 04:59 AM

I'm on exercise until Thursday. Posting will be slow to non-existent as a result.

reality_deviant 09-13-2004 11:24 AM

Rayinne, that is great. Could there be a more arbitrary and pointless reason for declaring someone a mortal enemy? Heehee....

Uh, sure. My char most likely won't even realize you're trying to kill her. ("Sarah! Hey! Long time, no see!")

DrmChsr0 09-14-2004 07:21 AM

Ain't posting until RD 'heals' me. No touching! Unless you're RD!

Osterbaum 09-15-2004 05:57 AM

Don't think that I' not posting anymore. I'm just waiting for my moment and planning...Yes plannig...For something EVIL!
