Soul Hunters, Chapter 2: Let The Evil Biddingdness(or what ever)Begin!
OOC: I'm just gonna copy my last post here...
IC: GABOOM Suddenly there was a gigantic explosion on the midle of the field...Everyone fell to the ground by the power of the blast. As everyone got up they looked frightened towards the middle of the field...It was Osterbaum! "OH NO, IT'S HIM! RUN!!!" And then rather qiuqkly and painfully Osterbaum finished off everyone in his sight. Yes...He was that mighty... SNAP Then Osterbaum suddenly snapped back to reality. "Oh, darn..." Having finished his bread (of evil bidding), bored as he was, he desided to jump in the action. Besides his minions could never win wiht out him anyhow. Osterbaum calmly walked to edge of a cliff over looking the field and he gave out an evil laugh. "BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!" He then yelled "Fools! I've come for your souls! "I think that line has allready been used..." "Oh...Sorry, my mistake. Let me just stepp in to that again..." *AHEM* Osterbaum calmly walked to edge of a cliff over looking the field. And he gave out an evil laugh. "BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!" He then yelled "YOU FOOLS! YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE ME!" |
At the sound of his leader's booming voice, Steven L. came back to conciousness. He ran to his leader's side and yelled, "YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE! MAKE YOUR TIME!"
|
ooc: Well done, Cloud Strife. It was indeed from the end of Mortal Kombat. :)
Oh, and it was Osterbaum's trap tube. Don't you remember, Oster, I bought it from you last year? :D ic: Thaumaturge spun around at the sound, his shield rippling with the motion. Ah, so Osterbaum himself has arrived. Very well, then. If that is the way of it... "Why don't you come here and face me, Osterbaum? You have ruined my plans for the last time!" All right, technically Thaumaturge's plans had been ruined before the arrival of Osterbaum's forces, but it was unthinkable that mere heroes should be able to foil Thaumaturge's master plan. Therefore, it must have been Osterbaum's fault. Thaumturge felt in the bag of souls for a particularly powerful crystal, found one, and channeled its energy into a bolt that crumbled just enough of the cliff edge to make Osterbaum fall. Thaumaturge smirked. "Mine will be a landslide victory!" |
Hitler's critically weakened soul crystal arced through the air, straight at the Big Pointy Rocks. Flinging away Thaumaturge's and Osterbaum's minions alike, the GLOP shot a hastily aimed mass of pseudopods to try and catch it before it splintered into millions of tiny pieces.
Microseconds before impact, a pseudopod made contact and withdrew the crystal into the GLOP's mass. The last few layers of the crystal were instantly dissolved, and the GLOP began to digest the soul inside. "What a funny taste this Sweetie has," the GLOP rumbled, as an inky blackness started to spread throughout its body. Soon its entire surface was a dead matte black, and the GLOP started to tremble violently, growing alarmingly in size until in its place sat a giant pair of gelatinous jackboots, ten metres tall, with a tiny little cube perched on top. With a mighty roar, the GLOP turned and stomped its way over to Thaumaturge, hundreds of pseudopods simultaneously darting for him and his collection of soul crystals. The earth shook as it moved, crushing insignificant minions at each step... |
S.A.N.E sensed something was wrong. He looked into his "What's Going On?" screen and saw lots of bad things happenening. Now was his chance to fight of evil! Donning a lab coat and large glasses, he hopped into his Teleport-o-matic and zapped himself over to the battlefield. Wanting to find out all the details was going to be hard. When he got there, he pressed a button on his watch to stop time, grabbed the most powerful villain he could see that was easy to reach, and teleported to a nice study in a mansion in Bosnia. Thaumaturge was the man he took with him. Seeing the confused look on Thaumaturge's face, he extended his hand in greeting and introduced himself. "Dr. Awkward," is all he said as he studied the villain, trying to get inside his head.
((OOC: And the palindromes start! Current count -1)) |
Thaumaturge looked around himself in confusion. One moment a hideously transformed Glop had been bearing down on him, the next he was in a rather nice study with a man in a labcoat and glasses. Thaumaturge ignored the extended hand. After all, he was a villain, and thus was not required to observe the normal conventions of society. It's part of the job description. "What in ALL EXISTENCE is going on here?!" He shouted, his eyes beginning to glow a baleful red, making them visible within the darkness of his hood, "I have a battle to carry - with Osterbaum there, I must be present to counter him! Return me AT ONCE!"
|
S.A.N.E. knew taking Thaumaturge back would be a bad idea. He thought maybe he'd bring up the fact that perhaps a mistake was made in bringing Thaumaturge to Bosnia, of all places, in order to stall. "Did I strap red nude, red rump, also slap murdered underparts? I did!" The look on Thaumaturge's face was one of confusion. Did Thaumaturge not understand that S.A.N.E. just asked if maybe perhaps he made a mistake in bringing the wrong person to Bosnia for questioning about a discovery made in Canada? Perhaps he'd have to speak more clearly next time.
((Count is 2!)) |
Thauaturge sighed. Palindromes. Lovely. He used a little Memory Craft on the strange man, sifting through the upper layers of his memory. Something about bringing him (Thaumaturge, that is) to Belgium for something about a discovery in Canada. He raised his voice and spoke slowly, as he always did when speaking to people that he considered a little slow: "WHAT - DO - YOU - WANT?"
|
Thinking fast, S.A.N.E. pulled out a soul crystal containing the soul of Michael Myers, famed SNL celebrity. He chuckled. "Eh? Canada had an ache?"
He was trying to insinuate that soul crystals of Canadian celebrities were an untapped resource that would prove valuable. Deep down, however, S.A.N.E knew that Canadians barely had souls. He needed a better plan to buy some time... |
Thaumaturge arched an eyebrow. The man was clearly insane, but the soul crystal piqued Thaumaturge's interest. Now, if he could just get this man to speak clearly... By force, if needs be...
