Mario Land
Anybody ever play Mario Land for the regular gameboy? Incase anyone is wondering, I'm not talking about the Mario Bros., Mario World, or any of those types of Mario games. I'm referring to an old one that was for the regular gameboy or gameboy pocket. And it didn't have Luigi in it. It was just Mario. So, anyone ever played it?

Yep. That game was decent enough. Submarine and airplane levels annoyed me though.
|
I believe I played it, as well. Submarine was fun!

One of my buddies knew that game like the back of his hand. Apparantly it was all he had for his Gameboy and, as such, the only game he played for like two years straight. Earlier this year we broke it out on the Gameboy Player for some reminiscing and he passed it in like under an hour. Fun stuff!

I'd like to get another copy, kinda flamed mine out from overheat and too much playing.
Did anyone find out why they made the fireballs keep bouncing infinately instead of doing that little hop like the ones in color did? |
I thought it was because with the infinite hop you could get all the coins in those windy secret places.
Airplane levels pwn, except for the logic breakdown when you had to fight a boss stationary... |
Those weren't fireballs. They were superballs.
Yes, way. |
Yeah I remember the old days when I played it. Fun times. I don't remember how far I got in it but despite the graphics and color, that game was probably one of the funnest Mario games out there. And I just remembered that the princess is called Daisy instead of Princess Toadstool. Graphics and color mean nothing though, storyline and music are really what make the game. Graphics are somewhat important but they aren't everything. For instance, I would rather play Mario Land than Halo 1 for the x-Box. Seriously. I had the game long ago when my mom lived with this one guy for several years but when we moved out we split the game boy games down and I ended up with Kirby's Dream Land 1 and 2 (which are both lost now), Tetris, and Pac-Man. The guy kept Mario Land and what ever other games he had. I seriously wish I had given him the Kirby Games and kept the Mario Land.
