((You mean you haven't read a book where there are 3 chapters in a row about 2 characters? I think we revealed quite a bit about our characters in that little bit.))

Za'rel woke, looking at the other two coming into camp. "Well. It is about time you showed up." Ears perking up, she heard Will whisper to Myrra, "I'll have you know, he saved my life while you sat there and did nothing. If I were not critically wounded, I'd kill you where you stand." Za'rel finished, with a stern look. That look quickly softened into one of sadistic laughter when Will was turned into a tiny frog.

"Serves the fool right." She said, sitting up, "I will be the night watch. I cannot sleep anyway, with people like yourselves sneaking up on me."

((try The Two Towers by Tolkien, about half of the book is about the adventures of just two characters...a few pages is nothing by comparison!;)))

Aeryn's pointed ears twitched slightly at the noise, almost like those of a cat. His eyes opened again, and he sat up, "Rest will help speed your recovery...go back to sleep, Za'" he smiled, then grinned impishly as he saw Za'rel looking at the frog, "Well...his brain is about as small as it was before, yet I suppose it couldn't really get much worse." he smirked, putting his cloak back on as he stood up.

"I'll take this watch." he said, gathering up his staff, leaving her side to go sit under a nearby tree, listening for further intruders, "It's a bit hard to sleep with all the noise anyway..."

"Fine. I will sleep then."
Za'rel looked annoyed at Myrra and Will, and then laid back down, covering herself with the blanket again, and pretending to be asleep. She had her sword ready, because she not only didn't trust them, she didn't trust the surroundings either. She tilted her head sideways, and closed her eyes, putting 100% of her concentration into listening for anything and everything that might be suspicious.

Aeryn glared at Myrra and the Will-frog, listening as well, then sighing as he realized that it would be more effective just to ward the whole campsite with Mordenkainen's Faithful Hound, and go back to sleep.

He cast the spell quickly, with a practiced ease that indicated many nights spent making camp alone in the wilderness, nights in which such a spell was invaluable. He sighed as he finished, going back over to where Za'rel was pretending she was asleep. A smile curved on his lips as he lay down where he had been before, remaking his makeshift bed, and whispering quietly to her, "Can't sleep?"

After noticing that he was a frog and making sure Aeryn was not looking WIll hopped over to his bag of holding a after a delicte proces removed his Maidin's Kiss Potion (Final Fantasy 3)and drank it. Not wanting to be polymorped into something worse he went further away from everyone and went to sleep but a sleep that he could wake up from quickly incaes Aeryn, Za'rel or Mercury woke up.

OOC: i guess i'll rewind a bit, since i was away for 2 days.
i ask the question again: what is a trace gem?!

BIC: Myrra didn't reply to Will's comment, nor glanced at Aeryn when he glared at her. hmph, he seems to have gotten back his intelligence quickly, she thought as she sat with her back against a tree. Her left hand twitched slightly again, slashing another small rune into the air, creating a small bubble of protection around her. She sighed, her head rolling back to rest against the hard bark of the tree. She stared up into the canopy of the woods, watching small points of light flicker above that marked the existence of stars.
Jeeze, how did I end up with these weirdos?
