yah that is better... but I still like the feeling of knowing what's next, oh and what's your favorite class???

Why do we need to be a DM to answer that question? Aren't normal players allowed to have opinions on different gaming worlds?
Greyhawk (the Core D&D world) is, in my opinion, a little lacking. Forgotten Realms has far more, well, stuff. It has a pantheon of Gods, while Greyhawk has a mere smattering. It has more magic also, which can't be a bad thing.
My campaign setting in progress (Narieth) is my personal fave (obviously), especially seeing as it has 100 gods!

My fave class is either Sorcerer or Sentinel (NG Paladin from Dragon Magazine), though Bards and Rangers are also good. Monks are cool, but they're lawful, and I prefer either Neutrality or Chaos, so that's why I invented the Aronis, a chaotic 'Monk' equivalent who gets their powers from within their souls rather than relying on an external force such as Ki. Like the Sorcerer is equivalent to the Wizard.

Thanks to all who've posted here for helping me clear up the question of AD&D E3.5

i dm and play. FR is better than Greyhawk, but I prefer to play in my own campaign settings. Just a pet peeve I guess. I Just allow the players to use mose of the FR stuff. As for character class, I go ultimate two-weap fighter for me. 2 monk levels, 2 ranger levels, couple bloodhound, ninja of the crescent moon, duleist (wow, now ive got wis, dex, and int bonus' to ac :p), and a few other levels. when combined with the approp feats (given by ranger in 3.0) thats nearly 7 attacks/rnd (base) w/-2 penal only :D

I DM. We play in the Dragonlance Setting, Forgotten Realms, The Star Wars Universe, we did Rifts at one time, Palladium Fantasy which was sort of neat and we're going to start a game in Westeros. (George R.R. Martin's world) The last one should be interesting to run.

As a long time DM I've grown attatched to my own campaign worlds. I have a vast pantheon, complicated political system and contingency plans/ rules for just about everything a character could want to do (ie. attempt to achieve deity hood, become an outsider, rule a country, etc...). In many respects it's really sad, I once had a city of 4208 people called New Cetus that was mapped out to the last detail, if you wanted I could tell you the daily routine of the area blacksmith's cat!

As for class, I like my archery based fighter/ wizard/ arcane archer. Nothing beats shooting many shot arrows with massive magic bonuses, even when you're using somebody elses nonmagical bow!

The coolest campaign setting of all time is most assuredly Dark Sun, just because psionics were accepted, tolerated and used there.

The only decent campaign setting for the d20 system is Forgotten Realms, because I refuse to play 3.5. I might consider trying the Wheel of Time game, though...

If you haven't guessed by now, I likes me my psionics. Second favorite class is the wizard, followed by the monk. I think that a psion/wizard/monk would be darn spiffy...

The original Blackmoore...
i got hold of a copy of the orginal campaign and adapted it for ad&d 2 ed. me and the other three compadres that stayed on (originally 7 in 1996) take turns being the dm. the game is still going on and all of us are almost gods (lvl 312 cleric, lvl 310 rogue, lvl 320 druid/wizard). In order to keep it challenging, we have to constantly create new monsters, villians, or demigods to fight.

When I DMed 2nd ed AD&D I (not neccesarily my players) loved Dark Sun. But in 3rd edition it's all about a bastard mix of Kingdoms of Kalamar and Forgotten Realms.
