Maybe it's just that he always liked the name Gabriel a lot, so the baybee isn't really named after the character, they were just both named for the same reason.

Yeah, he always just liked the name Gabriel. He's kind of into angels and stuff like that...not in a crackpot way, he'a also an artist (obviously) so he's fascinated with drawing things like that.

But note to gabe (father): PLS grow hair longer.

Tycho would be much better than Gabriel of it couldn't be shortened into Tyke. Really, who wants to be named after the squarest of all angels?

pish quit making fun of the boy's name. it's a decent name, you'd all be laughing your asses off if he'd named him something stupid like Forest, or Westly, yes I actually met a kid named WESTLY. Fuck thats not even a name, it's a direction. I like Gabriel, but my he is a tiny little guy, I wonder if he was a bit premature.

Tycho is the name of an old philosopher, and besides, it's pronounced Teeko (even though I still pronounce it Tyke-oh). Furthermore, it's weird naming your baby after your friend, especially if he has an even weirder (fake) name like Tycho.
