BMHadoken was, ironically, NOT a BM fanboy. He chose it at first because he was apparently (It was before I knew him), but then he came down the path of light and stopped. He stuck with the name because that's just what everyone knew him as, so it would be weird if his name changed. He used to post regularly, but he seems to have left the forum for greener pastures with little warning.

And neither of those threads were Calvinball, so they weren't included in the History.

Also, I don't like the path this thread is going down...

Ahh, that would explain why I don't know of him.

And whats wrong with this thread?

Forever Zero 09-12-2004 09:16 PM

It's sort of turning into a, "Hey, let's dredge back up all the old mud that was thrown around in the Calvinball Wars! Who said what and why, and then we go crucify them for things they did months ago!" Personally, I was quite happy leaving it all in the past, but I'm also a stickler to getting all the facts to people that want to know, so I'm still doggedly giving, "Just the facts, ma'am."

It's okay.

Just quit bashing IHMN and the others who were banned.

THey have no recourse to defend themselves right now, furthermore it's not necessarilly that we wanted to ban them per se, but that there are rules which must be enforced. No exceptions.

IHMN offered a real apology to RaiRai earlier today. He's not on our shit list anymore. But he will remain banned for the rest of the week.

My Lead Airbag 09-12-2004 10:45 PM

Rest of the week like the next fifteen minutes or so (East Coast USA here) or rest of the week as in over on the 18th, next Sunday...cuz that would be a pretty short ban if it was the former.

Take a guess. :P

I've noticed that Zoam has made a new calvinball thread.

As the official Undisputed Champion of Calvinball (Having 6 wins out of 11 chapters), I find I must ask the question:

Is that okay? I mean I know why Calvinball was closed down in the first place and I have made my peace with that, a part of me still misses Calvinball, but I don't wanna get bashed for posting in a thread that will be closed down for violating the rules, even if it is in the "Off Topic" section.

And by the way HoP: No offense or anything, but your attempts were the main reason that the last two threads failed. The previous chapters were blinding successes because everyone else who came up with a new thread had a good, or at least a moderately tolerable idea to kick them off. The last two were truely pointless godmodding. One must only look to "Calvinball: Hail to the Mods" to see that I am right.

Again, this is not an attack or anything, just an old observation.

Seeing as it survived a few days I figured it was all good. Ofcourse maybe the mods just over looked it and now that you pointed it out it will be closed. However, it does have a purpose. It's actually on topic and fits into the semi spam theme of this thread. It is roleplaing kind of but keeping it here keeps the real serious RPers happy as well as the Calvinballers. So if everyone is happy why not?

Further thought suggests that a dedicated stickied Calvinball thread in this forum might be a good ideal. It will keep the Calvinball threads from over growing the forum and provide an outlet for the crazy impluses of some of us forumites. We already do Calvinball esque things just not as overtly so why not set up a place to catch them?

Allow me to correct myself:

Undisputed Calvinball Champion, winning 9 out of 17 calvinball Chapters.

And I'd still like an answer from the mods, just so I know safely.

shiney 09-13-2004 03:54 PM

Have fun, but if it goes from silly fun to outright spam expect it to be closed down with absolutely no more calvinball at this forum.

It will be noted whether or not it is just random people spamming it to get it closed down. I won't be stupid and ignore that.
