How much DO YOU HATE WIZARDS OF THE COAST!!!!!!

Damn Wotc Damn Them Taking Great Games And Making Them Crap!!!!!!!!!!

What I'm busy damning is the fact that they're too much of a bunch of marketing whores to release the Planescape setting again.

My only problem is with the fact that having all games be d20 based, you lose much of the flair of learning new systems.

Some games just flow better with an non-d20 game mechanic and yield a much different gaming-feel.

ex: Call of Cthulu, Shadowrun, Earthdawn.
all games that just would never be the same as d20 - based.

i both like them and dislike them... so "ok" gets my vote

This is just a silly thread... The reason you say this is because they don't make the games you like? Why would they listen to you now? Here you go like "Oooh I hate wotc. They make god games crappy." Would you please tell us how they do it and which games it is before going like this again. 'aight?

I Hate Them Most Of All Of You!

That's because I work for their competitors Heart Quest

www.seraphimguard.com

Okay maybe their employees hate them more.

maybe some distant parralell universe that is affected by RPGs too and suddenly their land is filled with psychotic adventurers

But me next!

Nah. That's just good business.

I don't care. I preffer GURPS. It is more flexible. You can create any setting, not only medival.

Like I said. They're not gamers; they're marketing whores. "Good Business" is a lot less so when you realize that good games almost always end up selling like hotcakes, even if they don't start out that way.

Gramcrackered 12-04-2003 06:02 PM

So you think they should go ahead and release a book which would only MIGHT make a profit? Almost certainly a LOSS, considering how little the newest generation of players knows about Planescape?
You're just being silly now.

Anyway. Sure, I think Wizards are horrible, commerically-consumed twits. I don't know if I'd say I hate them though; I mean, I still like some of their products, even if I hate the reasons behind the vast majority of it.
