T.V. Highlights and Lowlights
 

I was thinking about just having a thread where you can name your favorite shows, but thst boring. So now you have to name the shows you like AND dislike (teh cuhrazy) and give a reason beyond something like "Well...its funny." The basic rules are (1) Keep it current (no "The Honeymooners is the shit yo) (2) No flaming someones likes or dislikes (3) Make at least some effort to desribe why you like the show (4) Repeats are allowed (for different people, don't say you like Sealab 2021 three times)

My Highlights:
Scrubs-Best sitcom after Seinfeld. The best character interaction hands down and stories that know how to toes the dramedy line.
Adult Swim- Too much stuff to explain. But pretty much anything they show deserves all the acclaim.
Last Comic Standing- Now that all the over the top reality show is gone from it, it's a non-stop Stand-up fest of people who actually deserve to be on the stage. Except for Ant, he needs to die.
Dead Like Me- Great writing, the kind that makes you think about the greater workings of life while the characters screw around.
Viva La Bam- It's like CKY, except they have a few million dollars to throw around.

Teh Lowlights:
Father of the Pride- Why do they have a parental advisory warning? The subject material is so tired and bad...god, just stick to Shrek.
G4TV- Ok, I'm gunna break my rule, it just sucks.
One Bad Trip- This is making me lose faith in humanity. The people who are on this must be either briefed beforehand or so fundamentally retarded they need instructions to swallow.
Mad TV- The worst pathetic knock-off of SNL ever. They have about three recurring characters that got laughs once and they're too afraid to let go of.

HIGH:
SIMPSONS-ITS JUST SO DAMN FUNNY, NON OF THE CHARACTERS EVER GET OLDER, ITS TIMELESS.
FAMILY GUY: BETTER THAN THE SIMPSONS. THE TEAM WAS REASSEMBLED AND THEY ARE PLANNING TO MAKE NEW EPISODES QUITE POSSIBLY AS EARLY AS 2005.
low:
News shows- too many comments especially if you live in the carolinas, our fox weather forcaster sucks, they cant predict the temperature correctly, their like 5 degrees off like every day.

Highs:
Futurama- Very funny, especially when they poke fun at the primitive way we act (compared to how we will act in the future).
Adult swim- I really only mean the anime, with the exception of Futurama and Family Guy. I'm an anime freak (not an otaku, there's a difference) and Adult swim is the only place to get my anime (other than G4TTV).
Xplay- The only place where I can see actual game footage and not just screenshots (it makes a difference)

Lows:
Anything on G4Techtv other than The screensavers, Xplay, and Icons- I hate the hosts and the shows' premises are just stupid (who wants to watch a bunch of B-list celebrities pretend to play games?).
Trigger Happy TV- It's mindless and stupid, plus it replaced Late Night with Conan O'Brian on Comedy central.

Ah, Law and Order. Lenny, your callous disregard for human life makes me chuckle so.

We shall miss you.

Pros - Teen Titans and Justice Leauge Unlimited

Cons - Everything else, really.

Spots of greatness: Fairly Odd Parents- So witty yet so stupid
Family guy- Everyone loves family guy, its simpsons little brother
MXC- crazy asians doing wacky things, its like new age amatuer kung fu movies
Dark Angel- Shes hot
He-man/new He-man- He-man is the man, hes unstoppable
lastly
Samurai Jack- Samurai Jack is the toughest mofo there is besides He-man and the Hulk. I think those 3 would battle till the end of time

LowLights- anything not a cartoon but MXC and Dark Angel.
-New Japanimation- ie Beyblade, yu-gi-oh (which is a 30 minute long commercial for a card game)

Oh ya another highlight, anything on discovery channel, I watched a guy get mauled by a leopard and a chick get mauled by a bear last night. Thats TV

Favourites:

Scrubs...It's just damn funny
Firefly...The most brilliant Scifi show I've ever seen
CSI...It's a nice to solve a new crime every week
Simpsons...You know why
And many many more...Cause I say so

Shows that suck:

The bald and the beatifull...How can you keep doing the same boring thing for so long?
And all other soapoperas...You know why

Highlights:

The Simpsons: They've been with me every step of my tv watching career.
Futurama: "Bite my shiny metal ass!"
MXC: I just love the commentary both from the announcers and the players.
Raw/Smackdown: No explaination here, I just enjoy wrestling.
Who's Line is it Anyway: My dream job.....
Grim Adventures: A cartoon with the grim reaper, need I say more?

Lowlights:

Yu-gi-oh: I'm twelve but I sound like I'm a 25 year old badass!!!
TRL: The tripe people request these days, sheesh......
Just about everything on "The N": Oh, they broke up, that's sooooo intense, like OMG!!! *please kill me for even bothering to type that.....it hurts so bad to type like that.......yet so necessary to mock them....*

I think that about does it.....

Highs:
Takechishi Castle- It's thoughs crazy japs again(It's MXC but under a differant name)
Red Drawf.
CSI:Las vegas
Scrubs
Futurama
Malcom in the middle
Everybody loves Raymond
My Hero

Lows:
Every single soap on TV.(Must be about 7 of them)
Every single ".... From hell" show and types of them.
MTV and the music channels
Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh (They both still get shown over here.....KILL THEM ALL)
And most Childrens after TV shows.
