...with a little more thought into the creation and a little more detail put into the threads, most of these threads here in the 'Off Topic' forum could actually be worthwhile in General?

I mean, this forum is just a test anyway, but the way I see things right now, there are only a few spam threads compared to threads that could actually be made more worthwhile. Just a realisation to share with you all.

Ah, Shiney and I have been monitoring very carefully. Watching all of you. Very...very closely...

Can't speak for anyone else of course, but I've come to see the General forum as the one where you put things that need to stay on topic but aren't so terribly important or serious that they go to discussion. And it seems a lot of us want to joke around mainly, so if others think the same way, it's natural the stuff ends up here.

Then there's the natural attractive force of anything new. Not to be underestimated.

Ah, but as Shiney and I have been watching this forum closely, we're weighing up the pros and cons of keeping this forum alive. This is just a test, for now, so we're judging whether it'll be worth keeping it or not in the whole scheme of things.

I have noticed that the topics here can mostly go in the general forum but I think of this forum as sort of an "overdraft protection account" where you don't have to worry about accidently spamming something important. Its more relaxed.

So, how do they look? I mean, are the pro's currently outweighing the con's? Or is it too soon to tell?

Well, to be honest with you, it's not looking good. The fact that only Shiney and I are here to mod these forums right now doesn't bode well on this whole adventure anyway.

Any specifics on what's going wrong with it? I'm sure there are many here who wish to preserve this forum.
