Hope I'm not too late to sign up. Here's a character idea from me.

Name: Crispin
Age: 23
Alignment: None. He uses tech mostly, but isn't against magic. He's a bit of an outlaw.
Apperance: Crispin is a bit short, and very lithe. He's about 5'3" and 120 lbs. He has long, wavy black hair, and black eyes. He has some facial hair, but it's kept short. he generally wears all black, including a long, black trenchcoat. He lets his hair fly over a bandanna. He has sunglasses with a built-in computer system to work as night vision or infrared if he needs them to.
Main Power: He's known to be an excellent thief, assassin, and a general jack of all trades. He's known well along the mercenary circuits.
Equipment: His sunglasses, a small PDA, a couple of blasters (kept hidden in his jacket), electronic lockpicks and manual lockpicks, some knives, a cell phone, and a radar jammer.
Bio: Crispin is a mercenary. He doesn't care about magic or technology, just doing what he loves doing. He lost his parents when he was very young, and grew up on the streets in a gang. He was a natural thief, and he moved up the ranks easily. When he turned 16, he left the gang and set out to try to become a pilot. Learning to fly was easy, but it left him wanting. For the past 3 years, he's been a general mercenary for hire. He hasn't failed a mission yet, and he doesn't plan to soon. His current position is unknown.

Name: Joseph Shard
Age: 27
alignment: tech
Appearance: Tall and muscular, with a stern expression at most times. Prone to wearing dark colors and leather jackets, and a black headband. When in action, he wears form fitting body armor with plates at the shoulders, stomach and thighs. The armor is jet black and constructed from auto reactive plates and fibers, which disperse the impact of a blow over a larger area so as to diminish its effect. His hair is black and his eyes are dark brown, he has no facial hair (I mean that he shaves regularly) and his complexion is very tan.

Main power: Gravitic cancellation device, to explain, he has the ability to counter gravity in certain ways, enabling him to move at very high speeds (he has a specially designed helmet which, when worn in conjunction with his armor allows himto survive these speeds) float in midair or anchor himself to a single point. Basically, unparallelled maneuverability. His headband is a mental concentrating device, which allows him to process sensory data at an increased rate, essential when he's moving at such high speeds. The circuitry and motors for his gravitic cancellation device are located throughout his armor, and have auto repair functions (micromachine transistors which imitate cell regrowth, shape memory alloys, that sort of thing) this means he can withstand heavy damage before becoming inoperative.

Equipment: those mentioned above, as well as two "flayer cannons" which teleport indescriminate amounts of matter away from a target. Basically, they are attached to his wrists and when fired, disperse particles of the target throughout the atmosphere, equally effective against organic and inorganic targets. these weapons are incorporated into his armor. He also has an easily concealable semi automatic pistol, which he uses for undercover work and such. He rents an apartment in a large city (not sure about the geography of this setting) and owns a mid level luxury sedan (or its equivalent) as well as a swanky wardrobe.

Bio: Joseph is, or was, a top research analyst in weapons development. He designed the suit he uses, and many other weapons in his short career, but found the business to be unfulfilling. So he took a job as an investigator for the powers that be (think CIA agent) he is a counter intelligence operative and a one man precision strike force when necessary. He's basically a daredevil who seeks excitement. He works autonomously for the most part, receiving information on assignments anonymously. His most recent communique involved whispers of a cataclysmic experiment, and an ad looking for adventurers...

Thats ok Zoam. Cheshire was a little late as well but the signup went off page one real quick. That and nothing has happened yet except a brief intro so it's no big deal to jump in now.

I said I'd join, but for some reason I didn't. Go figure.

Anyway, here's my character:

Name: Jack Duran
Age: 25
Alignment: Tech

Apperance: About 6'2" and quite muscular. He has short brown hair and blue eyes. He wears a black body suit that acts as a light armor. He keeps his vision goggles on his forehead most of the time too.

Main Power: He can use pretty much any projectile weapon he sees efficiently. Only problem is that he's really trigger happy, so he prefers big stuff with lots of ammo. He'll use other stuff when he only really has to.

Equipment: Smartgun- Yes I got it from AvP/Aliens. Jack can switch it between tracking mode and free mode, depending on the situation or the target. Jack's modified it so it can fire faster and hold more ammo, attempting to keep it up to date with some of the more modern weaponry.

Extra Ammo- Only included because he has a lot of extra ammo. Probably about 6 reloads for it. The extra ammo takes up about half his backpack, so he doesn't really have much room for anything else.

Vision goggles- Goggles that can switch between thermal, night, scan (he can use it to find out what the enemies are using if he has the element of surprise), and x-ray (not very useful) (Yeah so I copied Metroid Prime for the most part. So what.). The goggles are also linked up to his smartgun, so he can see a crosshair, his current target in tracking mode, an ammo reader, and the gun's current status if anything happens to it.

Backpack- It's a backpack. It holds stuff.

Computer- While he doesn't use it much, it's mostly used in conjunction with his scan visor to find out about the equipment of his enemies. Because of the vast amount of things a person could use at the time, a lot of space is taken up just by the equipment information alone.

Bio: Jack grew up a normal life, with the exception that he had an obsession with guns ever since he could hold one straight. The only problem with this obsession was that everything was too expensive to buy, so he could never get anything he wanted unless he saved for years. That was until his grandfather died, leaving him with enough to get enough gear to become a bounty hunter. He slowly started making enough money to support himself and his obsession.

Not much has changed since he became a better hunter, but he is known for his incredible capacity for weaponry, being able to use almost any type of gun he sees. He has been hired to catch some big time criminals, so his name is starting to spread.
