Ghost in the Shell 2 is pretty rad

God, I love Masamune Shirow. So I'm watching this as soon as it comes out over here in the UK, which knowing my luck will probably be never. I read the basis in Newtype and I'm glad to see they went with Batou as the lead. That guy kicks ass.

First anime of this style I have ever known of being released in Theaters. Hope this is a new trend for the US.

What anime style are you talking about? Spirited Away was an Oscar winner, and Princess Mononouke was really bloody at points...both were anime...or did I miss something?

I need to find a good theater in the area, and quick. Batou was the most awesome thing I remember from the movie, except the Tank.

He's been my favorite character in both the original movie and the TV series. For some reason, Kasarugi (ok, whatever her name is, not that) is suppose to be the lead, but for some reason I just always liked him the best.

Also he's got Jet's voice from Cowboy Bebop and I like that guy's voice so it makes it all the better (as well as in the TV series, whoever that other guy is that's always running around with Batou with the semi-long hair is voiced by Spikes voice actor so I always find it funny).-_-
