Can psychics really see the past/future?
 

I’m sure everyone has seen the signs for “$5 Psychic Readings” in their town or while traveling elsewhere. What I wanted to discuss here were your thoughts on using psychics for more than just personal entertainment, more specifically in police and detective work.

There’s been documented cases in the past where police haven’t been able to solve a crime, at which point they turn to a psychic for help. What I find the most interesting is when the psychics they hire actually solve the case.

What are your thoughts on this? What about using psychics to help solve some of the current investigations (such as the Peterson or Hacking trials?)

Maybe the psychics actually have certain intuitive investigational powers, that while they are totally natural, they still put down to psychic ability (there's quite some blur between the two, just think of Conan Doyle)

I'd still put luck above actual paranormal abilities.

I think that:

A.there are real psychics and fake psychics...the fake ones do the $5 readings, the real ones solve crimes.

B. there are no psychics, just the Matrix...in which we are all ensnared

Psychics are a load of bull. I don't think a real psychic exists anywhere. It's all just luck and intelligent guesswork played off as being psychic, or sometimes in the case of things like Phone Psychics it's even less, it's just totally random shit that is so vague it could apply to anything.

I think there are real psychics. I had a couple friends go to a psychic not to long ago, the psychic told them names of there friends, people who had crushes on them, things that were going to happen, without them telling her anything. The psychic looked at one of them, and said the name of the person, and she has a crush on you. The girl had admitted the week before to have a crush on her. I know that most just sit there and fake it, but I think that some might be real.

I believe that there may be psychics in the world. If anyone has ever had a dream and then lived that dream sometime in the future, you know why I believe this. I've gotten that eerie sense of deja vu from time to time, and I know that I've dreamt it before.

I don't know how developed this kind of talent is in others, but I imagine a few individuals might have a "heightened awareness" of certain things.

Deja Vu is just unproccessed nuerons getting dumped, making it SEEM like you've done this all before, but really its just one your minds little tricks.

There are no psychics, just lots and lots of extremely gullible people who support the psychic 'community'.

$5 psychic readings and phone psychics are a load of bull.



I don't know. Maybe there are real ones, maybe there aren't. Only time will tell.



Oh, and John Edwards is just as full of bull as a psychic phone person.

I have some latent psychic abilities...

I sense... someone will post... and say I'm not psychic... or that I'm wrong... or something to that effect... and he will have an avatar... and a signature...

Hey, thats me. Commercial psychics are fake, the others I don't know. And John Edwards and The Pet Psychic should be ripped from the air for being total liars.
