WoT Fans!

Wondering how many people read Wheel of Time? I'm almost done with Lord of Chaos. Twisted ending =(

I like WoT for the channeling. There is nothing to equal the Battle of Dumai's Wells.

Harry Potter is to the Wheel of Time as the short bus is to driving your own car to school (:

However, the tenth book was kind of dissapointing... here's hoping No 11 will actually *do* something.

Even you, and even me
Soon comes the day when all will die
Surely you, but never I" - Padain Fain (sp?)

I read the first nine I think. I realized, after that, "hey, these books have been getting steadily worse!" At that point I decided I would not read anymore of them. My only regret is that I didn't stop sooner. When my friend asked about the series, I told him to read the first two and then stop... they are probably the only ones that are worth it.

I would have to side with iBrow on this matter. While I have read all but the last book, (I actually bought it and it staring at me with little beedy(sp?) eyes, and moaning *Read me* *READ ME*), I haven't brought myself to going through the torture of reading it. iBrow, be glad that you quit early, because the WoT series for me is like a bad addiction. I don't like the series much anymore, but feel compelled to read it. :(

Tried to. Got up to book five before collapsing from sheer boredom.
I've tried to re-read the series numerous times since. Never get past book two.

Yeh =/ I know it's like Jordan got incredibly lazy as the books went on. Bastard.

Despite the steadily decreasing reading level ^^; I can't stand not knowing how it continues. I'm like that with every series. I got through book 5 because at the time, I had absolutely nothing else to do for part of the summer.

Anyone find a series just as addicting, but with a steady greatness?

I have the last book to the Aurian series to read yet, too.. probably break from WoT to read it. It's a 4-book series, and very easy read, but it's good. Reminds me of Slayers at times.

Yeah it got hard to read after book 3 for me. The political parts are too boring(Mat doesn't have many of those, another reason he's kewl) They each seem to have a few really good parts but the rest of the book will just blend together. There have actually been times I've fallen asleep reading the books, no other series has made me fall asleep

I made it to book 8 or 9, then I let the series go. I was like the never ending story. And the women in that book were just annoying, I mean truthfully what dude is going to have three women agree to "share" him. I know it's a fantasy book, but that thought is just plain stupid.
