The bar tender stumbles back shanking in fear, different people in the bar are standing and scared, though none of them want to challenge this man, the bar tender just starts to cry and whimper "please dont kill me... im not sure where he is... he never tells me this stuff, i just get letters and stufff... please god dont kill me"
The Man stares and pulls back the hammer on his gun "well your not helping your case"

RaiRai 09-25-2004 02:37 PM

"HEY!" Tepa yelled out. "You want a Dimitri, huh? I'll help you find him." She didn't have a clue who this guy was, what he wanted nor did she know a Dimitri. But if something wasn't done, then this bartender would have his pretty head splattered over half of the bar. And that was a pure mahogany surface. It would have been such a waste. Resting her hand on her hip, she approached the mutant and took in his scent. Yep, this one was a real bastard, alright. He didn't smell so good, either.

"Just lower the gun and step outside. No need to bring innocent civilian scum into this..." she turned her back, cloak sweeping behind her as she looked at the group. If she could distract this mutant long enough, they could make an exit. At least, she hoped they could. Basing everything on initial thought and reaction, she slowly paced outside.

Illuminatus 09-25-2004 03:58 PM

"Hey!" the mutant shouted "You want a Dmitri, huh? I'll help you find him,"

Jack's jaw nearly hit the table. What the hell was she doing? Sticking your neck out for other people was a real good way to get killed in this kind of world. As far as he could tell, she didn't owe the bartender anything either...Jack was speechless. His well thought out plan to leave quietly was convieniently quashed. He needed these beings in order to complete the job, and thus needed to help them stay alive. He wanted to curse. Fucking with an eight foot monster with a seven foot shotgun was an extraordinarily BAD way to stay alive.

Shouldering his rifle reluctantly, he followed Tepa out the door, hoping that this wouldn't be his last drink...

Psrdirector 09-25-2004 04:20 PM

The man looked at Tepa, and but his gun in his jacket "Show me where he is, and i wont kill everyone in this damn building" he turned and steped out the door, the bar turend and ran to the back room whith the bald man, who was looking at the man and holding his Tri ready to fight

RaiRai 09-25-2004 04:47 PM

"You leave those people alone and I'll give you anything you want." she said coldly, brushing her black hair out of her face and snarling at Jack. What was he doing involving himself in her buisiness? He should have been thankful she gave them all time to get out of there. She could smell the devastation waiting to happen. But what would she do now? She didn't know where the man this thug was looking for was. She didn't even know OF this man.

I'm fucked...

"Would it not be better to wait for this, Dimitri to come to you? If you know he haunts here, it would save you going out of your way to find him, is that not true?"

Psrdirector 09-25-2004 04:51 PM

"no it isnt" the man looks down at her, snarling "he dont return to a place once his enemys find out they know he goes there, he would just bomb the place taking out the idiot who tried to ambush him there with every other poor fuck"
He raised his hand into a fist "now if you dont tell me where the hell that god forsaken basterd Dimitri is i will get very angrey"

The people in the bar seem to be getting very scared, they dont move though. They just sit there quivering hoping he dosnt kill them all

RaiRai 09-25-2004 05:32 PM

"And how would he know that his enemies know his whereabouts unless there were spies in the ranks, huh?" she paced the man, looking him up and down. Assessing his height, weight, possible movement and strength. Yeah, she'd gotten herself in deep over this one. And why was no one taking the opportunity to move? Frustrated and sweaty, she stopped pacing and looked up at the brute. She'd stay silent for the time being, if he questioned her again she'd have to search her mind for some other excuse until they all got the hell out of there.

PhoenixFlame 09-25-2004 06:09 PM

Something must have snapped in Alise's mind, because she felt the urge to help. Yeah. Agaisnt a 7'10" monstrosity with a big gun. Hey, he was strong right? he couldn't be very skilled.

Alise stood up, not being noticed, because Tepa was distracting the guy. Alise calmly took position behind the man, acting nonchalant, finding an angle that would put no-one but the big guy in harm's way. Then... she did something either heroic, or monumentally stupid. Giving a silent prayer that whatever she did wasn't stupid, Alise took her left hand in her right, feeling under her glove for her Implant's "Inject" button. when she found it, she was already pouring sweat, adreneline flowing.

The implant gave a slight "Fwissh." as 1/3rd of the booster vial was injected directly into Alise's left hand veins. Within milliseconds, time seemed to slow, Adreneline flowed like nothing else, Everything blurred, Her heartrate sped, breathing accellerated, and everything seemed to flow in very-slow motion.
Well, Except for everyone else, still reacting at normal speed.

Thump-Thump...

Thump-Thump...

Alise unshouldered her looted Tri, Deftly pressing the secondary toggle, and aiming it at the Man's back in about the time it took for someone to even figure out what she was trying to do, much less see her draw the weapon. For Alise, it took seemingly hours for the weapon to come up to speed, but before the Tall man could even react, the Tribarreled shotgun was already ready.

Vwrrr, Chink. BLAMBLAMBLAM! Vwrrr... Ka-chink, ka-chink, ka-chink.
The 3 deadly shotgun shells firing at the man at point-blank range.

Psrdirector 09-25-2004 06:19 PM

The rounds slammed into the mans back he fell forward and cought himself he turned around fast, really really fast. He fell to his knee and pulled out his revolver and held his axe across his chest, his coat fell back showing that under his coat was this metal plating of sorts, wires pulsating "big mistake girl" he pulled the trigger

PhoenixFlame 09-25-2004 06:35 PM

Alise heard the man cough and almost scream in slow motion. Something was wrong. Really wrong. He didn't seem to be hurt as much as he should have been.

"Dammnit!" Alise thought to herself. "Reload, Reload FASTER!" she thought, leaning right, into a shoulder roll, as the Tri slowly reloaded each barrel in her slow-motion combat daze.

This guy was fast. Really fast. In her enhanced state, the man almost seemed to move at normal speed. Alise heard a low pitched, drawn out, almost comical if not so deadly serious "Bi..g... mi...s...ta...ke...gi...rl..." as the man drew his pistol, some kind of wireing and armor over his chest. He fired, but Alise was already moving out of the way. Seriously, what fool stays still in a fight. But she might have been moving a bit too slow, the shot grazing the side of her jeans as she rolls out of the way, Alise didn't know how deep or how bad it was, but it hurt like hell. She came out of the roll on one knee, Tri leveled again, just as the last shell ejected.

Vrmm... Chink. BLAMBLAMBLAM! Vwrr... *Begins reloading*
She fired again, supernaturally good aim at his head, Ridiculously fast reflexes drawing an almost perfect bead. Hopefully the gun would oblige and be as accurate as she was.

Psrdirector 09-25-2004 06:45 PM

The man smiled, she had done what he wanted, he got up spinning his axe that was across his cheast so it came out to where she had rolled. While doing this he pulled the hammer on his gun back

PhoenixFlame 09-25-2004 06:52 PM

Alise didn't expect, but saw, the man use his axe. Yeah. She got too close, and that was not good agaisnt someone like this guy. Luckily, Alise remembered how this particular Tri she had was armored. Because, well, Heikyo's sword didn't hurt it, so... Maybe this guy's axe wouldnt.

Desperately putting the Large Weapon in a blocking position, Alise took the axe hit. It hit the Tri hard, but, like the guy she killed said, "Aint no sword gonna break this thing." But that didn't matter. What mattered was that she had about 15 PSI of Crushing impact force slamming her backwards, and he had a good spin on the swing, making it all the worse.

Alise flew backwards and skidded agaisnt a Wall near a low divider wall slightly in front of her. "Thank the Architect..." she thinks, rolling behind the divider. It probably wasn't thick enough to stop bullets, unless the bartender was paranoid, but it would reduce the man's accuracy low enough to have a reasonable chance of staying alive.

((When in doubt, duck.))

Psrdirector 09-25-2004 07:08 PM

The man finsished his spin and droped to a knee dodging the rounds shot at him and returned fire to where Alise had rolled and fired taken huge chunks of the wood off, sudenlly someone yelled "GO TO HELL YOU BLACK BASTERD" then a load volly of rounds went off.
the bald man was standing there yelling and firing his tri, then switching hands and firing another, using the wall to brace him, he kept a constant stream of rounds pooring at the man, unlike Alise he didnt worry about bistanders

Illuminatus 09-25-2004 07:13 PM

Jack had changed his mind, and had moved back when things started getting dicey. At first it seemed like the girl would be able to take the man out without much of a problem. When that had fallen through, Jack had begun to worry. Then the bald man with the shotguns had appeared, spraying shotgun blasts everywhere. Jack decided that the faster the eight foot man died, the better off he would be.

Kneeling down, he whipped his rifle into position and began firing round after round, each shot's echo barely silent before another shot rang out,the sight of his gun centered as well as it could be on the massive man's skull

Psrdirector 09-25-2004 07:21 PM

The black man rolled back and held his axe up stoping shots, his jacket was compleatly shredded. His entire body was coverd in the armor, this was tech from before the war, state of the art tech. The fact that this man had something that could make him move that fast and take that much damdge was scary, he jumped back leaving putting the axe on his back, rolled pulling out a secound revolver and fired many times at the bald man. The rounds ripped through the air tearing holes in his chest big enough to put your fist in, the bald man slumped down screaming firing untill his body finally gave and he sat there his blood pouring out, the big man just smilled

PhoenixFlame 09-26-2004 12:47 AM

Alise cringed as the partition she was hiding behind splintered, huge holes from bullet-fire blazing through it. Luckily, she was unhurt, as the aim was terrible, but still shaken. Suddenly, a bunch of other shooting went on, that wasn't the big guy's. "Good." she thought. That'll give him something to think about.

Popping up from behind the divider wall, Alise had dropped the Tri in favor of her .22 pistol, hoping the .22's natural armor-piercing qualities might help. She figured he couldn't die to sheer weight of fire, so used her enhanced senses for the moment to take a very-careful bead on the man's head as he shot the bald guy. What seemed like several seconds for Alise was really only about 2. She held the good lock on the man's head, and fired. once. with deadly accuracy.

Tor 09-26-2004 11:26 AM

Locke had stayed out of the fighting and had snuck out the back way.

"Why can't people just get along?"

He looked behind to make shure he wasn't followed, and opened his sack.

"Ah well atleast I have earned some shit today"

THe sack was full of drugs and credits which some people would miss tommorow if they survived today.

Psrdirector 09-26-2004 11:42 AM

The bullet enterd the mans head, he fell backwards and stoped moving. Alise has slain the giant

RaiRai 09-26-2004 01:08 PM

"Thanks, kid." Tepa bowed her head to Alise, wiping the back of her right hand across her brow. She couldn't believe how much of a sweat she had worked up just talking. She could barely imagine the amount that would have come to be if she'd of fought. Her shaking right hand fell to her waist, where she unclipped her canister and took another gulp of the liquid, coughing as she fell to her knees.

"I hate this shit..." she moaned, putting the cap back onto the bottle and affixing it back on her belt. She looked up at the girl, and toward the bar in which the others were hiding. "So. Where do we go from here?"

Illuminatus 09-26-2004 02:09 PM

Jack looked curiously at his gun, wondering whether he was losing his edge or just going crazy. The mutant with half a face asked a question. "So where do we go from here?"

Jack walked over to the corspe of the giant and poked it with his shoe, just to make sure he was dead. After seeing him take three shotgun blasts in the back, he wasn't about to take any chances. "The bartender probably knows, and I get the feeling that he'll be happy to help us," Jack was drawn to the over-sized revolver still in the man's hand. "Anyone mind if I take this?" he asked, inquiring about the revolver.

Ryu Kurai 09-26-2004 06:02 PM

Heikyo sat at the bar table he had been dropped at. He was absorbed in self-thought, not noticing the bullets whizzing past his friends or their enemy's screams of rage. It al seemed to strange to be real. He had tapped into his ability to force his own adrenaline out many times; it had been something his father had taught him, maybe the first thing. No, that wasn't right. The first thing his father had taught him how to do was swing a sword, then he had taught him that in this wasteland, the only one you could truly depend on was yourself. He remembered that as though it was a scene out of a storybook. He had stood in the rubble outside their home; His father was throwing pieces of stone at him and he was trying to cleave them in half with the sword.

A piece hit him in the head. He dropped to his knees and clutched the spot where it had hit him. A bit of blood dripped from in between his fingers, landing with a soft noise on the rest of the rubble.

"Are you alright?"

His father's voice was gruff and stern, yet filled with concern. He looked up to see his father, a man with a rough-edged face accentuated by his beard. His long, silky black hair was tied back with some small piece of cloth. He could remember the day that his father had been confronted by the mob, that his hair was disorderly and had a few locks sticking out at the front. His father wore a jade-green outfit that consisted of a shirt much like his own and long pants that had close, even creases all around them. He recalled them being called "Hami" or something like that. off-setting his oputfit was a pair of brown leather work boots he could not remember seeing his father outside without.

"M-my head's bleeding."

"I can see that. You have to try harder next time."

"I... I tried really hard that time, dad."

"You must not let your own opinion of yourself rule your actions. Let me show you."

He turned around after wiping the blood off Heikyo's forehead, then about ten feet away, He placed his hand on the hilt of the sword.

"Alright. I want you to throw a piece of stone like your mother has taught you, alright?"

"Ok."

Heikyo had liked his mother's method of teaching better than his father's. He had progressed to near-perfect accuracy with her help. He remembered other times when he had taken a knife and thrown it with great force thrity feet, hitting the bull's eye almost perfectly in the middle. His mother had showered him with praise and given him mochi before their dinner. His throwing skill was amazing for his age, she had heard her tell his father one night.

Heikyo picked up the same piece of rubble that had hit him in the forehead and taken his time to aim, and yelled out to his father before throwing it. His aim was dead-on, the rock was moving swiftly towards his father's head. He cried out to him, but Heikyo's father did not budge. The rock went closer and closer until it was withing and inch of his face, Then Heikyo saw a flash of steel and his father turning around, Sheathing his family's sword. Heikyo ran up and examined the rock. It was cleaved in half perfectly, as though his father had perfectly positioned it on a cutting board and cut it with minimal force so as not to cause it to splatter everywhere. He looked up at his father with awe, and his father turned around.

"If you have complete trust in your own skill, you can accomplish the impossible Heikyo. Remember that."

His father picked up the stone's halves and put them together with one eye closed. He let out a chuckle.

"You know, at one time I had these things a centimeter from my face and I was doing the same thing. I'm getting too old, son."

Heikyo walked outside, simultaneously popping two pills in his mouth, one red and one blue. He walked over to his sword. It had some dust on it, but other than that it was untouched. He wiped it off on the leg of his jeans and sheathed it. He placed the sheath underneath his left arm. He checked his pockets: His claws were there along with and knives that weren't inside his shirt.

"So where do we go from here?" He heard someone say.

Heikyo considered this for a moment, then walked over to the old man who was still sitting calmly in the bar. "Why don't you oblige her? Where do we go next?"

Psrdirector 09-26-2004 10:04 PM

The bartender was shaking from the attack and crying "the.. the gang you want... they are near the old power plant, about a mile down the round to the left... and right for another mile... you should see the building around there. There hang around there... please just leave i dont want any trouble"
He then just sat there and and cried

Tor 09-27-2004 02:02 AM

Locke had walked towards teh front of the bar again waiting for those who had fought and survived to leave, then he would have to loosers to himself.

RaiRai 09-27-2004 03:59 AM

Tepa walked slowly back into the bar, and picked the bartender up by the scruff of the neck. His legs dangling a little beneath him, she sniffed him and then propped him upright. Her dark hair hung over her eyes as she examined his face and took every aspect about him into her memory.

"I got you out of trouble. If anything, you owe me..." she sneered, a red eye flashing out from behind her mask. She covered the right side of her face with her hand and turned quickly, growling to herself as she almost jogged outside and took yet another drink from her cannister. Her supply would grow low soon. That bartender had drugs and she would steal them from him if the time came to be. She couldn't afford to change any more. She wouldn't let herself.

Psrdirector 09-28-2004 06:13 PM

the bar tender starts to whimper "When will they leave"
he slowly put his thumb in his mouth and sucked
