Judging by the results that were already released, the damn thing will be a vainglorious crapfest of mediocrity, so no. Considering the results of their picks actually contradict themselves, I'm not expecting much.

Madden '04 got game of the year. This should be a bad sign right away.

Even worse, Def Jam Vendetta for best soundtrack?!That's just wrong on so many levels...

Im going to watch it just to laugh at the nominations....it sounds like it will be hillarious on the sad level

yeah, i can safely say that i am definitely NOT going to watch this. judging by the commercials i've seen, they are just going to praise the "popular" games that the legions of non-hardcore gamers buy into.

Award shows are just stunts to promote games, its all about advertising. Since I work at EB and Gamestop, I don't need to hear any more promotions.

This will most likely suck.
But, it will suck hillariosly.
I think I'll tape it for the same reasons I taped "who want's to marry a millionarre?".

I don't think I'll watch it, just by the people who are giving awards. Also, I just plain hate award shows too.

Yes I will watch Spike TV Video Game Awards tonight. I also enjoy reading the Gamespy's "Under-rated games" list and looking at the game reviews on IGN, since they are so well-written and full of excellent opinions. I also have an affinity for McGriddles.
