Getting around school firewalls

Hey guys I'm sittin in programming class again, it's so ridiculous boring and everyone but me knows nothing about programming, so I was thinking I would go play java games, but stupid schoolboard decided thats bad and has super limitations on us. Is there any way around this? I know megaproxy used to work, is there anything else like that out there?

that really sucks, sorry that i cant be of any help, we just got new computers, these dont have firewall, thank god.

Generally, school firewalls will only block front doors to web pages. If you know of any back-doors, use those and it should work. If not, they don't generally block pr0n sites, but they block gaming sites. I never understood that one.

Yeah, for some reason when you go to google and type search for any links to 'bad' sites the firewall would go into affect. But if you switch to images and type 'hentai' then you get pages of messed up pictures.......Messed up firewall system if you ask me.

If you can figure out an administrator password for the particular computer you're working on, you can login there. Admin accounts are usually restriction-free as to what they can look at on the web. My school is really stupid and makes the admin password for a computer the four numbers on the front of the computer. Proxies work. I would recommend going home and setting one up on your home computer or getting some free webspace and using it as a proxy, since schools tend to block the major ones. I'm not sure that a proxy will transfer a java game. If you know of any programs that could work for this but don't require an installation, most schools are dumb enough to block programs that require installation, but any ol' .exe you put on there will run (such as PuTTY which I use to check on my research while I'm at school).

http://www.knd.org.uk Then HTTP Proxy. This works for most sites, but not all.

Ha ha, you're an ecchi.

I know I'm going to kick myself for this later, but what is an ecchi?

It's a (Japanese) term typically used to describe people who view hentai or are, in many less severe ways, perverted and lewd.

No I'm not. I was actually shown this by one of my guy friends. I didn't know that you could do that until he showed me. It was the best example of how much you can get around the firewall system.
