Half-Life 2: How will you get it?

How will you acquire this little gem when it hits stores?

Living Bobbeh 09-29-2004 10:09 AM

Retail, I don't like buying stuff online.

KefkaTaran 09-29-2004 12:01 PM

Already pre-ordered the special edition online. Free one-day shipping and no tax! WOO!

Retail for me. I may have to drive about an hour to get to somewhere with a decent game store, but it'll be worth it. It's all about having the discs with you 6 years later to show that YOU were there when something this big hit.

Or the one Shiny DVD Collecters edtion. I'm not gonna get a game that has 6 disks when I can have on one DVD. Plus, There's a free t-shirt!

I'm thinking Steam for two reasons. 1) I don't have a car and 2) even if I did, I probably would be too lazy to get up and go. I have a T1 line here anyway.

Retail. When is it supposed to hit the store?

Living Bobbeh 09-29-2004 02:18 PM

November 1st I think.....Can't wait. Having my birthday in October will give me loads of money!

Osterbaum 09-29-2004 02:28 PM

NOVEMBER! How long are they gonna move the date? It was supposed to be september or october at some point. And I'm talking this year.

Finland: Valve has submitted a COMPLETED version of the game to Vivendi. The problem right now lies in Vivendi choosing when THEY want to release it. By contract they can wait as long as six months if they want to. Pray that they don't.
