So...Halloween's commin' up...

Ah yes, Halloween. That mystical time of year where you get dolled up in a cool costume, go out into the brisk night air and wonder around in the dark in search of sugery goods. And for once in a year, it's really something to mark your calenders by.

Well, not for me it isn't. Halloween has slowly been becoming one of those bullshit, throw-away holidays for me these past years. I never do anything anymore. Nobody to Trick or Treat with, no partys to go to, no nothing. Last year, my brother and I just ate a bunch of candy and played video games. That wasen't so bad, but it's kind of depressing to think how one of the best times of year now doesn't mean anything.

Back during my younger days, I'd always go out trick or treating with my brother and sister. We had a blast, doing as many streets as we could before succumbing to the weight of our candy bag. But after a while, my brother stopped caring about Halloween anymore, and refused to go with my sister and I for Trick or Treating. Then my sister began going to partys and trick or treating with friends, leaving me with nobody.

Well, I do have one good friend that I wouldn't mind doing something with, but he always goes to visit some relative in New York every Halloween. So we couldn't do anything.

I tried going Trick or Treating by myself one year, and it sucked. It felt like work, dragging myself through the streets, lugging my bag around. I even cut my shin on some sort of fence since I didn't bring a flashlight. It all didn't seem worth it when I could just by candy myself.

With all this talk of people going to partys, trick or treating with friends and other festivities, I remember back to the good old days when Halloween ment something to me. Admitidly, that's partiely because I make it that way. I'm kind of a loner, if you want to know the truth. I'd always pick an afternoon of relaxing rather than hanging out with friends. Anti-social, you could call it, I suppose. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to do anything for the holidays.

Well, whatever. Here, just do this for me. If you're going to do anything for Halloween, go out and have a blast for me.

This year.. I'm not going trick or treating... But my sister is, shes going out with a bunch of her friends and she's going to be the almighty White Mage! Hammer and all.

I only participate at my school. This year I'm going to turn my Grim Reaper costume into a Black Mage costume. I would love to do that. If it works out well, I might go out if my friends are availible.

Mmm... Candy...

I havn't had a very good halloween in the longest time. I stoped trick-or-treating some time ago, but i would usualy go to some form of party instead. however for the last couple years, the parties that i've gone to have been pretty bad, and i end up going home and hanging out with my friends instead. this year i dont think ill be doing anything at all, but that doesnt really bother me.

Holloween is a blast. All you need to do is find enough people to dress up and hang out, and its all cool because its holloween.

i usually hang out infront of my house with my friends. listening to loud music and attempting to keep any candy wanting childs at bay. every year the same kid is the only one who has approached us. i give him all the smartie and kit-kat bars. i keep the aeros and coffee chrisp.

I broke my leg a few years ago and got out of the habit. since then, i've been handing out candy at my sis' place though. I plan on getting a costume this year, too - jury-rigging some cardboard and a big jacket to make a Headless dude costume.

Halloween keggers for me personally. Guys can throw whatever they want on, girls can dress as slutty as they want and no one complains. Everyone wins.

well... yes... That's not as bad as the time I went as a druid/wizard/thing and everyone kept calling me moses. One person called me Jesus.

I'm going to go as Robert Smith. won't be too hard; flannel shirt, a lot of black hairspray. and an excuse to wear make-up!
