It's being shipped on the 11th and should arrive in stores on the 13th. But, I doubt any stores around you will have it unless you preorder it. At least that's what I was told. I suggest you wait until the 11th and order it off the internet if you want it.

Let me just reitorate. I don't want anyone going out there and spending $30 on a game they won't like. Read all the reviews you can find then make your decision. I'm just doing this for fun.

sounds interesting... i'll have a country up later tonight (cursed evening psychology class)

btw I clam the Czech Republic as default.

Small update, people. On release of the game I found out two things. 1) It's ridiculously buggy and 2) it doesn't let you toy around with the terrain. GolemLabs released a patch, but it just causes more problems in place of the others. They are currently working on patch #2 which should fix most or all of the problems. I'll keep you posted.

We'll still do this, just after the second patch is out.

I hate bugs. Don't you think these people could go the simple effort to debug their stuff at least just a little bit? I mean, it really can't be that hard. I know, I'm a programmer (an amateur, yes, but still a programmer). Just hire one or two people to play the game and then fix some bugs. Rinse and repeat once or twice. *sigh*

At any rate, this still sounds pretty cool if it will run. Ah well...

*slumps off muttering obscenities about lazy programmers who won't debug stuff*

If it's not too much trouble Bob, could you maybe put up all the members that are participating, their countries, and allies? I'd just like to see how this world looks like. Politically, I mean.

Bob The Mercenary 10-21-2004 07:36 PM

I'm planning to do that soon, maybe tomorrow. But, some people haven't chosen a country and others have called countries that are already taken, so we'll have to clear that up.

The game runs just fine. It's just that there's a few CTDs to still be worked out. Like, they just fixed one that crashed the game when you zoomed in on Fiji. Plus, there was an obvious one that no one could figure out how the programmers missed it. The game music starts skipping about a minute in to the game every time. Bleh, I hope they get it right the second time around.

sooo, what does that mean for our custom countries? We can still change name / unit names / government / etc?
