Nuklear Age is Here!!!

I just ordered my copy. I have one question though. After ordering, I remembered something about autographs, and I was wondering if the copies from amazon.com were going to be of the autographical nature.

I was just going to start another thread about that. Brian said something about autographed copies being available at RocketNinja. When is this scheduled to start?

Osterbaum 10-01-2004 12:50 AM

I am soon to order my copy...WOOT!

You know a book is good when you nealry fall out of your chair laughing from the amazon description.

Every single one of the reviews is wild conjecture. I don't see how this review can't not be lying:

Funny how this seems to be the first review on here from someone not speculating on the contents of the book. Personally, I've been a fan of the author's since way back when.

I did not, however, enjoy the parts of this book that I managed to sit through. The jokes are overused, and lag behind his other work to begin with. For completists, however, this is a must-have; it clearly shows how his brand of humor and style of writing has evolved to where it is today, making it interesting in a way Clevinger probably never intended it.

A good stress test to see if you'd enjoy this book is this: load up his comic, then read 25 or 30 of them at a stretch. If anything about reading that many at a time bothers you, this book will only amplify that annoyance. If you enjoy every bit of what you read, pick this up immediately.
Since the book was released, what, a few days ago? I don't see how anybody could both have it by now and have read through the majority of the 668 PAGES.

gizmodude4 10-01-2004 10:04 AM

Yeah, but are the copies from Amazon going to be autographed?

Hamelin 10-01-2004 10:07 AM

Logically speaking, I'm almost certain that they won't.

Kurosen 10-01-2004 10:32 AM

Yeah, signed copies will be available soon-ish. Also, I can't seem to get any of the reviews to show up at Amazon. Blarg.

Cyclone231 10-01-2004 10:44 AM

I dunno, I found 'em pretty easy.

The annoying part is that three out of four reviewers have rated it five out of five without having read the book!

Kurosen 10-01-2004 10:46 AM

Yeah, the section where reader reviews go? Completely doesn't show up on my screen for some reason.
