Guilty Gear (Series)

Is there any one in the forums who have not played this 2-d fighting series of excellence? Or been somewhat confused if Bridget is Male/Female, or intrigued by the massive anime-like storyline?

Personally I love the games. It's sad to see that they're not often bought, seeming as they get high reviews, look great, easy to pick up and play, and hard to master.

Also, what's your favorite character, storyline or play-wise?

I like Ky because he's almost entirely a straight-out paladin with a badass lightning sword. He's also a good fighter with his stunning lightning.

But my favorite is Johnny. Nobody can combo together eight sword sweeps, a few kicks, and a COIN TOSS, but Johnny. Slick mofo.

I get pissed off when people play Sol, though. The guy has like unbeatable attacks.

Bridget is a guy, according to his story in GGX2: #Reload.

My favorite Character is either Faust for pure goofyness, or I-no, for one of her victory poses....and I'm pretty good at fighting as her.

I am a master with Johnny and Dizzy. I'm also not too bad with Milla.

Bridget is most definitely a guy. If you play GGX2 completely, you'll see it mentioned more than once. I like Slayer's non-chalant approach. You technically never knock him out, he just gets bored and decides to let you have the win.

This just in: I am pretty good with both Chipp and Axl as well.

Also, Not to shabby with Millia either. Chun-Li's lightning kick, but with hair! Whee!

Now then, on a less spamtastic note: Slayer is a good character, just hard to get the hang of because he's one of two people who don't use weapons (and one uses a form of weapon, kinda).

I rock out with Jam.

However, Dizzy > all other characters and I-no's hat.

I don't play them simply because I don't have any other friends who live near me that play 2D fighters. As a result, all I can play is the computer and I find the computer exceptionally cheap. Not in a hard sense, but in a move reading sense and because the game is so fast and combo based, the computer decides to act like every other opponent is needing to be at the level of an SNK end boss.... And I don't think of myself as bad at 2D fighters really. I play CvsSNK2 almost everyday on its hardest setting and its not that hard for me anymore (previously I couldn't beat the cheap people on that, now I can beat Shin Akuma without difficulty). I also play various SNK games, beating all of them without any problem, except when they have the super-cheap SNK end bosses in play such as Zero in KOF2001...

I have GGX on Dreamcast but needless to say I don't really play it anymore. I get tired when I lose every battle getting my opponents life down 90% and the computer just does some perfect combo I can't avoid to win. CvsSNK2 tries to do this a lot as well, but at least in that game I have a way to get around it (aside from when Ultimate Rugal or Zangeif does it).

I am fairly good with Axl and Faust. I like seeing Diz, Jam and Millia in action, though.

I can probably guess why.
