Char's up. And it's a concept because I didn't want to admit that I had mistyped. :P

Ok, I'll give your guy the go, just Silvergem will almost always have the upper hand, but you'll have spells covering a wider spectrum than illusions and the such.

What kind of inventions to goblins get? I noticed that there is only one Red, and he's a human who uses magic and smashes things, and not so much of goblin technology. I might join if it seems entertaining (Already it's intriging since I know there are lots of explosives).

My Lead Airbag 10-05-2004 08:51 PM

Pretty much like the goblins in Shield of Lies. Anything that you can think of that blows things up or destroys something is probably a goblin device.

This sentence confuses me... Either MtG are not ugly like every other type of goblin, or you are saying goblins think they are hot.

My Lead Airbag 10-05-2004 08:57 PM

They think they're hot.

Elminster, just delete the post... Don't edit it to say "Nevermind".

Name: Durg (I don't know goblin names...)
Race: Goblin
Job: Inventor
Appearance: Short little green man. Though it's almost impossible to tell since he is almost always colored black with oil, with two gaint circles that are his goggles.
Equipment: All sorts of tools, a bag almost as big as himself filled with random machine parts and oil, and another bag of gun powder and explosives. For a weapon, he uses a large metal device he can attach to his arm that shoots out a metal fist connected to a spring. It packs one hell of a punch, but takes a long time to reload. He also carries a long metal stick so he can move things while hiding behind something incase it blows up.
Background/Story: Durg has blown stuff up more times then his entire family combined. But, being the paranoid freak he is, Drug is usually hiding or gone by the time of the explosion. Durg loves inventing, but puts to much gun powder in everything, so almost eveything he makes blows up at some point. He left the mountains because he caused to many avalanches.
Extra: If you ever see Drug tinkering with something, then suddenly run away screaming, run with that goblin.

Rhiya, you can imbue your jewels with extra mana, like an extra battery type dealie if I'm getting the concept correctly. Moxes would be more like eternal fountains of power.

Myst, a Dark Elf Necromancer is perfectly acceptable.

Muktar, most of the colors magic works like that, except I'm *shudder* letting blue have a little more power than just weakening minds and the such. So basically, if it doesn't fit into the realm of any of the other colors, blue prolly has it. Telekinesis style magic? Blue. Sudden and directed wind bursts? Blue. Things like that, as long as they don't trample on the other peoples toes. But, since theres only one Naga, it shouldn't be too big of a problem.

Also, I read something about artifact creatures (or maybe artifacts, but I'm gunna cover artifact creatures right now). My original AC plan was to have five robots/golems that were made to guard/give 'tours' of the five races. But then, that makes no sense, so no artifact creatures in this world, unless someone can give me a good reason.

My half-dark-elf's staff has the same mana-battery ability. If it was a card, the ability might be something along the lines of (tap: add 1 black mana to your mana pool). I think...I could be wrong.

No, everyone knows Black is the strongest!

seriously though, those things are powers Blue actually has....anyone who disagrees, I invite you to read certain books, which specifically mention Blue Wizards using those powers.

I have an idea for the artifact creatures....milennia before Serra arrived on the planet, there WAS an advanced civilization. Before their fall (due to civil war and strife between the rulers), they created golems designed to study and catelogue the various races and their evolution, and to teach those who wanted to learn. Those golems still exist.

By the way, Naerzul will get along well with Timothy, both are slightly crazy mages (much like Barrin and Urza) with a penchant for scholarly pursuits. Of course, he'll be fascinated with Silvergem, since he has never seen a naga before...and he's very familiar with snakes, since the swamps have loads of them.

Name: Talniek
Race: elf
Job: necromancer
Appearance: Talniek is like all of his kind, pale white, with faded out brown hair, and milky blue/black eyes. He is tall for an elf (around 5'8") though still thin, almost to the point of being emaciated (125 lbs.)
Equipment: brown and green shirt and pants designed to blend into the swamps, which he wears under a black robe adorned with silver runes along it's length. He also wears a ribcage which has been fashioned into armor by elven craftsmen and magicks. He carries a curved dagger, an ebony staff, and a bag which contains random small bones from various creatures.
Background/Story: Born amidst his kin, the dark elves, Talniek moved along the path of the enlightened, a necromancer. It was during this that he decided on his purpose in life, that of trying to bring another 'angel' to this plane, in order to end the church's agression against them. Unfortunately, he has yet to even dawn upon a method to begin this, and was captured during a skirmish when a templar managed to break through the line back to where he worked.
Extra: Talniek is very partial to 'draining' attacks (think burn soul) which strenghthen him while killing those that oppose him. While he appears callous and selfish, that's only because he is.

Dragonsbane 10-05-2004 10:22 PM

don't you mean "Soul Burn"?

oddly enough, summoning a dark angel won't be so hard at later points during the RP...and Naerzul is probably going to do it just to test the other necro's reaction.
