Kary (also known as Maliris or Marilith) is the fiend (or more accurately, chaos) of fire.

Look in the Monster Manual, in the section on Demons, right next to the Balor. That's Kary.

AKA the six-armed sword woman-snake-thing that will, we all guess, will test Fighter's loyalty to it's limits.

Yes, Fighter's affection for women who use swords may finally cause him to consiously act against the rest of the gang. Even if Fighter's seduced by Kary, he might be in for the sword duel of his life.

I wonder what Kary's going to be like character-wise, though. Lich almost seemed like a satirization of megalomaniacal (sp?) villains. Normally, I would think Kary would be a Domanitrix, but that's more of EPS's realm. Mabye she will be seductive, OR she will turn out to be completely artificial ("like, owagawd! Light Warriors are like totally lame!")

Great comic, of course in retrospect, I would've prefered the bubble-less text that Brian colorizes. Just to get an idea of who's talking.

But ah well.. Also...

There is *NO* connection & just because you kiddos didn't play FF1 back on the glorious NES, doesn't mean you get to dictate how things are supposed to be. Give me my poorly translated Final Fantasy 1 & accidently invisible townsfolk, (that are only invisible because of a programming bug). Give me the annoying Airship theme that drives most sane people MAD!!! Give me a horrible time travel plot that's only semi-explained, and that's mostly by the ever-so-annoying Sky Warriors, and that's only at the last minute.

Oh, and give me twenty bucks.

hey I was 7 when FF came out. I most likely would have gotten annoyed. Or loved it, I dont know I could find the stupid thing.

Anyways I do agree that it was hard to tell who was talking. And unlike when Brian normally does the black screen and word bubble its because he wants to hide who is talking for joke purposes, but I didn't see him trying to hide anything in this one so I dont get why he didn't use colored text

There are still 4 monsters. That's just a garbage bag with Kary's lunch written on it.
Hmm, normally random encounters don't bring dead heroes to bosses, but never mind.
Fighter is gonna get seduced, its inevitable. Then BM finally has a valid reason to hadoken fighter!
