((You have a Reaver sprinting at you from effective arrow range (60 feet accurate, but much farther artilleryesque) And you go and cut your palm? Okay. Right. Feel pain. Now.))
((Never shot at a group of Clan warriors with a bow before? Okay. This is kind of how every one of them would react.)) Za'rel charged at Sereg like a speeding freight train, covering ground as fast as a speeding wolf. Mere moments before hitting him, she let out a High-pitched battle-scream, traditional of her clan, in an imitation of a blood eagle seconds before snaring its prey. The frost didn't daunt the mountain-dwelling warrior, she was rather used to it actually. The lithe 134 pound Reaver still had a slight weight advantage over the elf, and she aimed to use it, and her momentum to knock him right off his feet. Her face was one of pure hatred, in a kind of ectasy moments before ripping the still-beating heart out of her foe. She slammed into the archer, her right shoulder aimed directly at his sternum, intending to subdue her opponet without ever needing to slash him to death. ((And may god have mercy on your soul, because she sure wont.)) |
OOC: Remember, he's a mage, not an archer (Though he can use a bow).
When the Reaver was only feet away from slamming into Sereg, the ground below the frost faintly glowed red. Moments before slamming into her target, the Reaver was stopped in mid tackle when a seal made from Sereg's blood flashed into activation beneath the frost. A circular light rose from the seal, trapping the Reaver in place. Sereg leapt back, landing outside of the seal. Soon the affect would weaken and allow the Reaver to move inside of it, but not escape. "Brute force... Heh." Sereg laughed at the stupid charge the Reaver took at a foe she knew nothing about. |
((Anything but, she just thought you'd be easy prey. Most idiot archers arent epic Wizards. I will kill you like the Zelos clone you are... Sorry, too ic here.))
"I will kill you and feast on your still beating heart, Inferior being." Za'rel hissed from inside her cage. "Shuch dishonor among elves, how sad. Show me how a true warrior fights then, if you are so arrogant!" Trying to break free of her sealed state, the reaver wonders if it works in a way that it would also shield her from his attacks. She thought it might, but was not sure. She managed to get her right sword crossed over the left, after a few seconds, and silently whispered, "Makden solitari, estan suis." The Etheral weapon spell might not be useful quite yet, while caged, but the effect would at least startle the ignornant mage. The weapons instantly seemed to coruscate with purple lightning, with a deafening "Fwseeeehhh-BLAM!" sound, as if metal screeching across a chalkboard amplified 15 times, and a Car doing a crash test at the end. The weapons went 50% transparent, and the weapons were seemingly laced in blood. |
even as the flashy effect of the reaver's spell distracted Sereg, Aeryn cast something much less noticeable, but far more dangerous. A small thread of spidersilk shot from his hands, turning into a mass of spidersilk that struck the surface elf in the chest, pinning him to the tree. Each strand was stronger than a steel cable, and they covered most of his torso, pinned his arms, and glued his legs together.
|
Sereg, bewildered as to why a flashy sword and noise would cause him to drop his guard, pushed his left palm against the tree trunk. It will still bleeding from the seal he had made on it, so using a simple healing spell in reverse, he caused his blood spread onto the tree rapidly. It covered his side of the tree trunk, and then shaped into a pattern of circles and crosses. In a flash of red light, the seal absorbed Sereg, leaving the webbing.
On the other side of the tree Sereg's blood appeared, in the same pattern as the seal that had just absorbed him. Sereg walked out of the seal, after which both of the seals disappeared. "You are all so voilent, I merely wished to speak to the beauty." His voiced echoed to all as he, along with four illusions of himself, ran into the forest, each going in different directions. |
OOC: His arms were pinned, meaning he can't move them...bah, nevermind.
Besides, if he keeps up with his strange ability to be a master archer AND wizard, Aeryn is going to 'discover' the ability to cast Meteor on him. As it is, Sereg is screwed... IC: Aeryn's emerald eyes blazed with fury, "True Sight!" his eyes changed color momentarily, flashing blue...his spell extending to affect Za'rel as well as himself. The illusionary duplicates vanished, leaving only the real elf fleeing through the forest like a frightened hare. the half-drow took off after him, his iron-shod staff in his hand, his superhuman strength propelling him at speeds far surpassing Sereg's attempts to run, "You ALWAYS introduce yourself to a woman by shooting the one talking to her? Stand and face me, you pathetic worm, or run and die like the pathetic offal you are!" |
OOC: All he did was move his hand (Not arm) slightly.
Also, he did one good shoot (With a bow)... And a "master" archer compared to this group is like a flea (Any shots would instantly be met with something like you did on the first one, and he was injured). And his magic isn't exactly simple (Notice that everything he's done, besides the illusions, required his blood and seals). It's not like he's your guy who can throw up a reflecting spell and a lighting bolt up instantly. All he's done is make a trap and go through a tree, with just that he's crap compared to Aeryn. IC: "A simple cut on your arm and you'd be living in a dream. However, you ruined my beautiful shot with a grungy counter." Sereg responded. He used his dagger to make a small cut on his right arm, letting blood spill out of it and cover his arm, forming another seal, this time all around his right arm. Once it was finished, he stopped and faced the half-drow approaching him. He stood ready, his dagger held in his right hand, the blade pointing away from himself. The blood still on the dagger slowly shifted around, until the bladed edge was covered. |
OOC: yes, I know...it was a joke. Though it would be funny to cast Meteor on Sereg, after saying something appropriate.
"Lets see you fix THIS with cover-up, prettyboy!" *Meteor hits* IC: "Beauty...ugliness...both are relative terms, completely unrelated to reality. Your fixation on beauty denotes shallow-mindedness. And I prefer to stay awake, save your 'dreams' for those who need them." the half-drow stopped several feet away, staff held easily in one hand, "My infravision may not be equal to that of a full drow, but freshly-spilled blood shows up like a glowing beacon in the dark. Cast your spell, elf, and we'll duel..." Aeryn stood ready, robes whipping slightly in the faint wind, the look in his eyes calm now as he faced his opponent. |
Za'rel screamed hundreds of the most vulgar Clan epithets and some of the more suprising oaths as Sereg and Aeryn ran off into the forest, leaving her snared in the stop spell.
As it finally vanished, she renewed her chase after the two of them, using her new true sight gifted by Aeryn. The combat-bred hunter-warrior shot through the forest at an alarming rate, eventually catching up. Arriving just in time to see Aeryn seal a pact to make a duel with Sereg, Za'rel's jaw dropped. He did have that right... But the Elf was her kill! she was going to enjoy shredding him! Venting, Za'rel slams her right hand sword into the tree, the etheral weapon sliding right inside, most likely killing the tree, but like most trees, did not respond immediately. Retrieving the weapon, she sheathes them both, and takes a seat next to the tree, catching her breath, and acting as observer for the elve's duel. ((She was already pissed by the constant fighting. Besides, We're *VERY* warlike.)) Edit: Except Sereg, of course. |
OOC: If Aeryn defeats Sereg, but doesn't kill him, he might decide to give him to Za'rel to finish off...since Sereg did want to talk to her, and she wants to kill him, and Aeryn just wants Sereg dead, everyone wins!
IC: Aeryn was ready, "Your move, elf-scum. Lets see if you fight nearly as well as you run away." he smirked cruelly, his staff trailing a faint glow as he spun it through a slow circle. |
