RaiRai 10-13-2004 03:37 AM

Aw, but remaining anonymous is boring!

Wedding update: The venue is booked. The date is the 22nd of January. The time is 2pm.

Osterbaum 10-13-2004 12:26 PM

22...Now this actually makes it possible for me. YAY! I'm afraid I would not have a wedding gift though...

RaiRai 10-13-2004 01:13 PM

We don't need wedding gifts, because we have no need for them considering we're going to be living at my parents house.

Viktor Von Russia 10-13-2004 03:23 PM

Well, that doesn't necessarily mean that you don't want presents, right? :D

RaiRai 10-13-2004 03:28 PM

Oh, if people want to give gifts, it's not like we'll hand them back and glare at them. We'll accept them with a smile. And then sell them off on Ebay.

Hoshit, did I say that outloud? =o

Nah, any gifts will be appreciated.

Oh, it will be like a 60's sitcom! Your dad can call shiney "meathead" and you can reevaluate the rolls of members of different members of the family in a comic and witty way!

And then he can make fun of Black people and her mother!

Archie Bunker, we hardly knew ye.

Osterbaum 10-14-2004 07:06 AM

Man...I really can't understand why they EVER desided to put that show on here...

Arlia Janet 10-14-2004 07:29 AM

Aw. You better post a picture of the kiss.

So I can distort it with photoshop and make it look really funny or put the wedding in an awkward setting. It'll be so much fun!

Kazastankas 10-14-2004 03:24 PM

Haha, went the step so quickly. Welp, a congratulations is in order before I say anything else. So, congratulations. Yeah.

Anyway, any plans of the wedding would have to base off of the details that you give us. Yes, it's a winter theme. Yes, you want to abide it, and the advice that's already been made is all good.

But what are the other situations? Money? Space? The population of the wedding? You have to consider how big it'll be before blowing money on the fancy stuff. You'll also need quite a large place to show off the fancy stuff. Don't be afraid to stint on money. My parents had a wedding with an attendance of over 200 and they still were greatly entertained with little cost. (Of course, my father is a DJ with connections, so that may be unjustified.)

Either way, look not into the future for glory just yet. Planning in reality is very wise.

RaiRai 10-25-2004 04:13 AM

Gah, update. I bought my flowers on the weekend, and my body dress arrived today but it's too tight, so I have to order another one. Buying shoes this week too.

So nervous...

Osterbaum 10-25-2004 04:53 AM

Calm down. There's still enough time for these small errors.

Man the date is closing in fast though...

ChaosMage 10-25-2004 11:19 AM

No pressure RaiRai. Just don't trip, don't say "I don't" or "What? I wasn't paying attention." Make sure you smile at all the right times at all the right people to show how happy you are when in fact you're giddy-nervous on the inside...and be sure to have fun ;-) Oh, and Shiney, it'd probably be best not to ban everyone who throws rice at you after the wedding. ^_^

Yeah, we've both noticed this and it's where wedding jitters set in. Not pleasant at all.

RaiRai 10-27-2004 04:12 AM

Hoshit, double post. I wanted to show this off:

Dante 10-27-2004 04:14 AM

Whoa, hawtness.

Got any piccys of you in the dress? ;)

QueenQeeko 10-27-2004 04:44 AM

Aww

That is so sweet, RaiRai. :)

Osterbaum 10-27-2004 09:07 AM

I've got this to say: Aaw...Very sweet indeed.

AndyBloodredMage 10-27-2004 04:24 PM

I think Shiney has a bit too much of a tan.

RaiRai 10-27-2004 04:33 PM

I'm sorry you guys...but after all of this, the heartache has set in and it doesn't look like the wedding is going ahead afterall...

Bob The Mercenary 10-27-2004 04:44 PM

What? Aw man...sorry about that then. I was waiting for it to happen so I could wish you guys good luck. But, I guess it's for the best.

slightly aboveaverage man 10-27-2004 05:19 PM

whu... buh...guh... WHAAAAAT!???!!!

Is it that you just can't get everything done in time for the set date?

I'm excruciatingly sorry to hear this, but...whaaa?
I'm in a state of shock!

Lost in Time 10-27-2004 05:29 PM

Yeah Whaa? What happened. Whatever happened I'm terribly sorry. This is shocking!

shiney 10-27-2004 05:54 PM

www.livejournal.com/users/_rairai_/
www.livejournal.com/users/shiney/

We're on a break. The last two weeks have caused...a lot of heartache on both sides.

I love you, RaiRai. Truly.

shiney 11-02-2004 02:22 PM

The wedding is still off (postponed) you guys, but RaiRai and I are working out our differences and getting back together.

Thank you all for your support. :)

Cloud Strife 11-02-2004 02:30 PM

That's good to hear, man. I'm sure I speak for many, if not all of us, when I say that we look forward to more good news such as this.

slightly aboveaverage man 11-02-2004 02:53 PM

YAAAAAAY!

I'm just so happy for you guys now! :D

BlackMageGirl! 11-02-2004 03:04 PM

Yaaaaaaaay! That is so good to hear! ^_^

Bob The Mercenary 11-02-2004 03:18 PM

First good news I've heard all day! I was sad for a long time over your previous posts. Glad to hear it!

QueenQeeko 11-02-2004 03:19 PM

Ease of heart

That is good to hear, shiney-sama. We'll all be waiting to hear of more good news, or if something should turn for the worse, you and RaiRai both know we're still here as support.

Goodluck. God's blessings. Zutto.

MFD 11-02-2004 03:30 PM

Wow... I should really check this forum more often...

We're breaking up... wait... we're not!

Sorry, just funny from where I stand, reading through the thread.

And I hope it works out for you two, in the end.

ChaosMage 11-02-2004 10:56 PM

This kinda stuff happens when people get married. Crazy stuff happens at the last second...kinda like the October Surprise in Presidential elections. I'm just glad you two are sitting down to work it out and such. That picture RaiRai posted is so cute, it'd be a shame for it to go waste ;-)

Osterbaum 11-03-2004 04:30 AM

Great to hear!!! WOOT! Good that it turned out better than it could have! I'm really happy right now.

behemoth 11-03-2004 05:13 AM

Whee! I knew you could do it? Told ya so ;)
Anyway, I'm off to 9 weeks of arduous physical and mental training as of today, posting from the public computer they have in the motel they set me up in :) Wish meh luck

Thaumaturge 11-03-2004 07:03 AM

I'm really glad to hear that you two are working things out. Good luck to both of you, and I hope to hear more good news in the near future. :)

CHICAGO¤lollie 11-03-2004 07:11 AM

Much niceness to read up about. Good luck RaiRai and Shiney. ^^

RaiRai 11-03-2004 03:22 PM

Thankyou everyone for your support. And thanks to everyone who helped me and Shiney through this time of hardship. We'll keep you informed of developing plans.

Dj_StarChild 11-05-2004 02:09 AM

for some reason I feel compelled to comment about my magic pants again, but best wishes from me and my pants. (they come from france.)

shiney 11-05-2004 02:17 AM

Better wishes have never been given!

Steve L. 11-05-2004 06:22 PM

Woah, you guys are really getting married, or is this a joke?

If a joke: Ha ha ha ha!

If not: Congratulations!

>__> <__<

AndyBloodredMage 11-05-2004 06:23 PM

They are truly (so far as it at least appears) that they are getting married.

gurusloth 11-06-2004 01:08 AM

Huzzah! I am happy that things are back on track for the two of you.

RaiRai 11-06-2004 07:32 AM

Heh, no joke. Shiney and I have been an item for over 2 years now.

Foamy 11-08-2004 09:28 AM

YAY!!! Congratulations to you both!! :D I wish I lived in the UK to see this wonderful event, stupid Atlantic Ocean. My only thing to add to everyone helping is; make sure that you two don't forget the wedding vows, no matter what happens at the wedding say your vows, they will make everything better when you hear them. And when choosing a wedding ring, a simple gold band works just as well, the ring doesn't matter it's the message that it holds. Good Luck!!

! 11-08-2004 10:11 AM

Damn that rather large puddle, I'd be at the reception if it weren't for that stupid blue thing...

Nice to know you two are working things out.

Thaumaturge 11-08-2004 10:18 AM

Well, the puddle's smaller from my end...

It's the rather large Dark Continent that lies between me and England that concerns me... not to mention a smaller puddle and a bit more land...

Otherwise I'd definitely want to come! :)

Lycanthrope 11-08-2004 03:20 PM

heh, either way I look at it I have the entirety of a vast continent and a huge ocean between me and the reception.

Osterbaum 11-08-2004 03:38 PM

Well consider this...I only have half a continent and a small pudle in the midle. Then of course Meister is the closest one... -_- Pressure's on you Meister.

QueenQeeko 11-08-2004 03:41 PM

Well then

You people are worried about puddles and small stretches of land?

Try living on a rock in the middle of a lake! It's way harder for me to get to such a place as England or the USA. *sniff* I would love to go to shiney and RaiRai's wedding.

Rhana 11-08-2004 03:41 PM

Yeah, Meister, show up with pictures of all of us taped to you. That's the only way poor college students like me could get there. *sad face*

RaiRai 11-08-2004 03:46 PM

Hopefully, there will be a second wedding in the US for anyone who wants to attend. Just let us have our first, first. =)

Meister 11-08-2004 03:55 PM

Considering a lot of members are also from Australia, South Africa and whatnot...

... and omitting some steps...

Will there be tour t-shirts?

EDIT: I have been called out on my proximity to the wedding in question! Well, there's only the small trickle they call the channel. Um... StevanHogg is closer! Although I like the "picture taping" idea.

Foamy 11-08-2004 03:57 PM

Whooo!! it should say:
I went to RaiRai and Shiny's Wedding!!!

On the back:
And survived it!!

RaiRai 11-08-2004 04:01 PM

Heh, you people would be willing to PAY for these things? 'Cause we can barely afford our wedding yet alone T-shirt gifts. XD

QueenQeeko 11-08-2004 04:07 PM

Yo?

I graduate from highschool in a week, RaiRai, would you like me to do a draw for you guys as a wedding gift? I still have that other one with shiney on a leash to color as well. Yes, I didn't forget it ^^ :D

RaiRai 11-08-2004 04:08 PM

That would be lovely! I've been collecting couple pictures for about a year now.

Linky.

QueenQeeko 11-08-2004 04:14 PM

Woah!

DUDETTE! Those are cool! And I see they're all mostly GaiaOnline influenced. What are your pennames? Mine is (no surprise) QueenQeeko. I have two secret account, but they're unimportant here.

The reason I ask of your usernames is so I can save the sprites of your characters and base off them for one drawing and then the other I can base from NPF characters of you guys ^^

RaiRai 11-08-2004 04:15 PM

RaiRai and Shiney, of course! Although Shiney's account has been blocked for some reason, which completely sucks ass because he had some nice stuff. ;_;

And yeah, thousands of Gaia gold spent on pictures. Oh well. =3

Foamy 11-08-2004 04:18 PM

Im on gaia!! I'm UndineWaterSpirit, can i add you guys to my buddies list?

QueenQeeko 11-08-2004 04:20 PM

Wedding stuff

Well its a wedding gift so don't bother paying me for my artwork :D

*hugs Rai* I am so glad you guys have fixed things up. With your financial basis with the wedding, if I had more money than I do (stupid saving op for university, rawr) then I would have donated money (without expecting it back)

I'm generous like that.

Edit

Go for it, Foamy

RaiRai 11-08-2004 05:16 PM

That would have been nice, but with more time to save, I think we're going to do alright for ourselves. And I look forward to the art. =)

ChaosMage 11-09-2004 12:16 PM

Yanno, RaiRai, to help finance the wedding I'm pretty sure lots of people would buy a RaiRai and Shiney Wedding T-Shirt.

Foamy 11-09-2004 12:54 PM

It would be kinda funny if the shirts had BM marring WM and the the best man was Thief stealing some silverware and under the pic it said: Wedding of two great forces

shiney 11-09-2004 01:39 PM

'Cept I'm not BM nor does he represent me at all. :B

Foamy 11-09-2004 01:41 PM

Just a thought

Dragonsbane 11-09-2004 01:51 PM

Shiney always seemed a bit more of a melee type to me, the sort of person who enjoys wading knee-deep in blood while slicing people in half with a huge-ass sword.

Of course, his warcry would be something along the lines of, "Banned! You're banned! MUWAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Yeah...I really need to make Shiney sprites. I'll get around to it soon, I hope.

RaiRai 11-09-2004 01:51 PM

It'd have to be an edited sprite of fighter and possibly an image of EPS representing myself. =3

Bob The Mercenary 11-09-2004 01:54 PM

I was going to use an edited Fighter sprite...*makes some calculations and color palette changes*

RaiRai, I believe someone already made sprites of you...but a full spritesheet would be nice! :D

shiney 11-09-2004 01:58 PM

I don't use any palette changes though. Just straight up fighter.

Unless it's supposed to be a fighter sprite representing the real me.

But 'shiney' is represented merely by your standard fighter sprite.

Wetflame 11-09-2004 02:01 PM

Aww. Good luck.

Dragonsbane 11-09-2004 02:02 PM

I was thinking of altering the armor and (possibly) hair color a bit, so that people wouldn't confuse you with the Fighter.

Besides, red & black armor looks cool!

shiney 11-09-2004 02:36 PM

Well, we'll see at least. Consider me a skeptic since I've been using fighter unaltered for a long time. :B

RaiRai 11-10-2004 04:50 PM

I guess we'll ponder upon it, considering the likelihood of us actually having T-shirts isn't very likely at all.

shiney 11-10-2004 05:27 PM

She's right yknow.

Also, we're looking at April now.

Viktor Von Russia 11-10-2004 05:28 PM

Spring wedding, eh? Nice.

RaiRai 11-11-2004 10:33 AM

I guess we'll see how things go. Money is an obstacle mostly all the time, unfortunately.

Meister 11-11-2004 11:19 AM

Hey, I actually do have my semester break in April! Don't take this as some kind of promise though. I'm just observing.

I didn't say 'Glad to hear you worked it out' and 'Best of luck to you guys' yet, did I?

Don't worry, I will. ^^

KaneInferno 11-12-2004 10:01 PM

I dont if anybody knows this, but usually the bride wears white if she has never been married, and a colored dress if she has been married before. I don't know how many times you've been married but if it's your first then stick to a white dress, for tradition's sake.

RaiRai 11-13-2004 04:48 AM

White really looks horrible on me because of my pale complexion. I had chosen a champagne dress, but I'm not sure if I intend to wear that one for the ceremony when the time rolls around.
