Shield of Lies Discussion Thread 4: The Siege of Discussion!

Well, you know what to do. But first, I have a question for you all:

Just to clear things up, I'd like to know what 'class' everyone considers their character to be. Myself, I think of Metrius as a Ranger(DnD 3.5).

Hakar is a barbarian Seer, which is basically equivalent to a Psychic Warrior. Of course, I don't own the Psionics Handbook, so I could be wrong.

Well if you go by DnD then probably a fighter nad a mercenary if you go by Fire Emblem.

Cloud Strife 10-04-2004 01:51 PM

Well, just go by whatever. If questions arise about your 'class', then give a brief explination.

Jerick's is already obvious, but I'll say it anyway. He's a blacksmith. He may use magic effectively, but he's still only a blacksmith.

Dragonsbane 10-04-2004 02:25 PM

the "class" thing really doesn't matter, by the way. You find your own balance of magic and weaponry, that's all.

CheshireThief 10-04-2004 02:55 PM

Jechir, being a bandit, is definitely a rogue. More likely, a swashbuckler. He just happens to know some Light Magic. (Notice that he doesn't rely on it. I think I've only had him use magic once.)

Cloud Strife 10-04-2004 03:33 PM

DB is right, you know. I was just wondering what you all classified your characters under.

lazy man 10-04-2004 03:42 PM

Oh... Well then, I guess Jerick is an abnormally active NPC. That's the only explantion that fits the kind of person he is in DnD. That and I've never truely played DnD before, just some extremely bastardized versions my friend makes up.

And just to keep on track, exactly how many weapons do you think Jerick could make before this big siege happens? I want to know so I can actually go at a reasonable rate and not make Jerick look like a god when it comes to making weapons (even if he is pretty damn good.)

Dragonsbane 10-04-2004 07:20 PM

depends on the type of weapon.

Normal daggers wouldn't take long, for example...but he couldn't finish even a single well-made katana in the time before the siege.
