Now, get back to posting in the battle, and stop telling us where your characters are. If I need to know, I'll ask you.

lazy man 10-11-2004 02:05 PM

The reason I posted where Jerick was was because MLA wanted to know where he was so Gug could get all pissed off when he saw Jerick's "corpse".

And for some reason, this scene popped into my head earlier today when I thought about Gug seeing Jerick dead:

Gug: "Oh no, Jerick! I shall avenge your death!"
Jerick: "Wait! I'm still alive!"
G: "Oh... Well, I'll avenge your mortal wound!"
J: "No, it's not that bad actually."
G: "Well then... I shall avenge your wound!"
J: "Wait, I'm fine really. I can even get up."
G: "No! Don't waste your energy! I shall go get who did this to you!"

I love Monty Python. (I know it's not the most accurate thing ever, but I haven't seen the movie in a while.)

Dragonsbane 10-11-2004 02:22 PM

only one thing can sum up my feelings after reading that...ROFL!

My Lead Airbag 10-11-2004 03:04 PM

LOLLERS!!!!11!!!

Cloud, are you copying and pasting the inner-demon conversations. I've seen that What are you doing here You invited me in HAHAHAHA thing like twice now.

Dragonsbane 10-11-2004 03:10 PM

I call those conversations "The Curse of Ziff"...or "Gollum/Smeagol Tiem!!!11!!one"

IHateMakingNames 10-11-2004 03:12 PM

Well, at least Cloud is using different colors, unlike BS who just threw a bunch of words together and left everyone else to figure it out.

My Lead Airbag 10-11-2004 03:17 PM

Shouldn't Hakar have realized it by now? As soon as he does, don't expect Gug to let go of the Fireshrieker...

Dragonsbane 10-11-2004 03:28 PM

Hakar realize what? He's busy facing down some orcish captain, and keeping all of his energy on a shield to keep the arrows off.

Dude, what are you talking about? That's the first time I've ever posted that. Where did you get the idea that I C&P'd that?

Dragonsbane 10-11-2004 03:41 PM

it's a bit of a joke, since some of the other characters have done similar things...

Laine, for instance. I mean, since he's gonna be Dark Laine at some point...

still, Cloud, it's a joke. Just like when I say that Aeris and Sephiroth are making out in the background, and Tifa fell in love with Vincent!:p

My Lead Airbag 10-11-2004 03:45 PM

That part was a joke, but seriously how many scitzophrenics do we need here? I'm guessing Warmage got killed or something (lord knows we'd have seen his presence on the battle...), so that takes care of one, but even one is too many. I guess I'm just prejudiced against skitzos, but unless you're dark side pops out of your head is there any way to tone him down, or does he serve some kind of purpose?

Dragonsbane 10-11-2004 03:51 PM

He's supposed to provide depth...and frankly, it's a very low-class way of doing so. It can be good, but it depends. Personally, I trust Cloud's ability to do this well...so far.

Cloud Strife 10-11-2004 05:51 PM

Don't worry, guys, Metrius will be only Metrius soon enough. He just has to come to terms with what happened, is all.

Dragonsbane 10-11-2004 06:28 PM

Alec made an orc his bitch...*snickers immaturely*

This battle is going great so far, by the way. Good job, everyone!

Nope, no dagger. Sorry DB.

Dragonsbane 10-12-2004 05:08 PM

ah...in that case, it was just a regular dagger. No problem, Lazy.

slightly aboveaverage man 10-13-2004 07:31 AM

Try to move your characters into the Keep guys.

Dragonsbane 10-13-2004 11:46 AM

Jaguar, post dammit!

My Lead Airbag 10-14-2004 01:58 PM

Now, when you guys say troll, I've been thinking like EQ and Harry Potter huge things, but then Saam's been cleaving heads left and right and I remembered that Warcraft featured trolls that were basically green humans with huge faces. So which trolls have we been fighting?

And didn't the Skin Guy get killed by Hakar? If not, can Gug kill him?

Cloud Strife 10-14-2004 02:23 PM

Well, SAAM, I'm hoping that you have a plan with what's happening to Gabriel. I mean, hey, Metrius would be glad to help, but with the Slaughterman in the way, I don't know if I'd be able to get to you in time.

Dragonsbane 10-14-2004 02:40 PM

Hakar killed the skin guy, but he was using precog.

The trolls are more like D&D trolls, with regenerative abilities and a weakness to fire. Gug will do VERY well against them.

So, who wants to slaughter the Slaughterman?

[edit] currently, Gabriel is down. He's sitting against the wall while Hakar and Litheril fight the orcs nearby. Slaughterman is probably getting back on his feet.

Cloud Strife 10-14-2004 03:34 PM

Actually, I'd like to have Metrius do that, though he's probably needed for healing. I'm sure he can learn quickly. He won't learn it well, neccessarily, but he should be able to learn it.

Dragonsbane 10-14-2004 03:51 PM

Hakar and Metrius can both heal, and Alec/Sarin might eventually learn...once they learn that there's more to Earth magic than trees.

Cloud, if you want Metrius to kill the Slaughterman, then go ahead. My character is busy with the other orc troops.

My Lead Airbag 10-14-2004 05:39 PM

Yah, I don't play DnD, I don't get the description...are they human sized or huge is all I'm interested in.

And Slaughterman's dead, and I am now withdrawing Gug from the battle.

Dragonsbane 10-14-2004 05:43 PM

about 7-8 feet tall...not too big. An ogre is about 9-12 feet tall.

Darth SS 10-14-2004 05:53 PM

Somehow, I don't think Alec and Sarin are really "healing" kind of people. Their affinity is with the planet, not people.

And in other news, I can think of nothing for Alec to do now that he's got a broken leg, useless arm, and several arrows stuck in him.

Dragonsbane 10-14-2004 05:58 PM

people are part of the planet too, but it's your character.

Right, everyone who CAN walk, get back inside the fortress...everyone else will be dealt with, just list who you are and I'll find a way to get you inside.

slightly aboveaverage man 10-14-2004 08:05 PM

I was kinda hopin' for Lazy Man to help out with Gabriel; what with his magnetic abilities and all.

Meh, it's all good.

My Lead Airbag 10-14-2004 08:15 PM

Is Gug in this Keep business? And is the 'saving grace' gunna come soon, cuz unless someone can BS a reason that their element allows them to rip open a portal, we're gunna be ass raped, and not the good way.

slightly aboveaverage man 10-14-2004 08:16 PM

Oh I know exactly how we're gonna get out. Trapped as rats though we may be.

My Lead Airbag 10-14-2004 08:30 PM

Didn't Jaguar say that a whole bunch of orcs had begun to siege the sewers and planned on burning everything?

slightly aboveaverage man 10-14-2004 08:31 PM

Ah, but that is what Litheril is for. *Wink*

My Lead Airbag 10-14-2004 08:33 PM

Which one is Litheril again? And do these sewers somehow go eighty miles away from the battle or something?

Cloud Strife 10-14-2004 08:35 PM

Litheril is the water elemental that is with us. And sewers eventually empty out somewhere...

IHateMakingNames 10-14-2004 08:36 PM

Puh, Osiris>Litheril...

But, Osiris isn't there, so you're stuck with that guy.

Dragonsbane 10-14-2004 08:40 PM

and Boxers > Briefs, who really cares?

There's a good way? No, DON'T answer that! *shudders*

Ohh, so the old guy empties the orcs out, thereby alerting all the other orcs to our presence.

And I know they empty out somewhere, but if a group of orcs could get to the opening and work their way in, a group of people coming out would probably be thwarted by, say, the entire orc army.

Unless, in a dues ex machina, they all rushed the castle and we're unnoticed...

Dragonsbane 10-14-2004 10:06 PM

No...the old guy is HoP's character, an Ice-User.

We could flush the orcs out, since Antarrak is sending a large force he would feel no need for guards, there aren't enough soldiers left to fend them off AND get all the way out the sewers to safety, unless some deserted...in which case they wouldn't matter, having no further interest in defending Bastion. The problem is, the orcs are badly underestimating our little group. ;)
