HAHA! That gets my vote for the best thread closing comment from a mod!

anyway, still standing is my math (ew) riddle, its not too hard if your good in algebra.

Is 1=1+1 ????
a=x
ax=x^2
ax-a^2=x^2-a^2
a(x-a)=(x-a)(x+a)
a=x+a

What went wrong?

Hint: Similar to the "0=1" paradox, if you know it
Hint: Think of some basic laws of math.

AAAAnd one thats really tough I probably need to give a few hints.

I point one way, and it is light
I point the other way, it is light,
I point back the other way, it is dark,
I point back the other way, it is dark

HINT: notice that when 'I' point one way its light, then the other way, its STILL light, but then when I point back the first way it's dark now, then point back again and its STILL dark. If you figure out waht 'it' stands for, the riddle will make sense.

Also, I think any old unsolved riddles should be reposted for...viewing pleasure...or something

i got asp to debug so i dont want to think to long on this, but is the algebra one, you cant divide by 0?

I'm guessing mud.

Mud in the eyes blinds you(temporary), Jesus used mud to give the blind dude sight (read a Bible, duh!), a mudslide is rather destructive, and castles can be built from bricks made of mud.

Viper got the last one right; if a=x, then x-a is 0, and you can't divide by 0 in the last step.

Yep, nice

I'll try to write the 0=1 paradox later (same answer to why its false), but I'm not in a 'thinking' mood now...

Verrry close, so close that I'm tempted to accept it as an answer. But mudslides don't destroy mountains, and for the Jesus example, it was dust from the street, not mud. Admittedly He spat on it and rubbed it into the man's eyes, but it wasn't really mud.

But you're very close. Hang in there.

Sand

Sand in your eyes, jesus example, erosion, and sandcastles, respectively.

0wn3d (:

Assuming my answer is right (I think it is), here's my riddle. It sucks, I know, but it's hard to find one that hasn't been posted yet.

You know what? Screw it, I deleted it. Someone else post one.

What do the following words have in common?

age,blame,curb,dance,evidence,fence,gleam,harm,int erest,jam,kiss,latch,mot

ion,nest,order,part,quiz,rest,signal.trust,use,vie w,win,x-ray,zone

um, no spaces exept between int and erest?

CORRECT! Good for jo0.

Thinkmeat: Sand is correct, but not the Jesus example. Sand is a source of silica, which can be melted down into glass, and what do near-blind people wear?
