Best Final Fantasy Music?
 

Okay, Final Fantasy games have the best soundtrack ever, but which has the best version of the shared songs, and best original music?

I would have to say that I LOVE FF7's soundtrack (Cid's theme, Aerith's, JENOVA, One-Winged Angel, etc...), and also, I love the bagpipey battle music from Tactics ^_^

but then again, i feel unnaturally inspired and proud when i turn on FF1 and hear the opening theme *looks at the stars while a single tear rolls down my cheek*

...man...................final fantasy games rule.....

I love the orchestrated soundtrack from FF6. Celes' Opera (can't remember the actual name of the song, an Italian title), War of the Magi (my favorite!), Mystic Forest, Coin Song, there are several others.

I liked Eyes on Me from FF8, as well as One-Winged Angel from FF7 because its perfect for Sephiroth.

there really is no single game with the best songs, although every game has "the perfect version" of at least one fundamental compilation.
IMHO-
FF1-FF3; the original soundtracks were kinda hard to make out. Although, most of the re-releases have the true and original music. (there's just something about "The Final Fantasy" song in 8-bit sound)

FF4 seems to be the best for the actual "Final Fantasy" song (dum dum Dum dum DUM dum dum...)

FF6 had the best character themes. who can't forget Locke's or Celes's (heaven forbid kefka's).

FF7 is my favorite for "prelude." a full frickin' orchestra instead of a solitary harp and flute.Also, i must agree with Videodrone, the best battle music ever is in 7.

FF8 has great scores for situations. Don't know the actual names but- the dance, the resurrection, and others.

FF9's tracks were good. Not exceptional mind you, but not one scarred your ears. (Gogo's theme, *shiver*)

I have not yet paid enough attention to FF10 to give my true opinion about it's music, but i seem to remember some excellent scores during the cutscenes.

FF11... yeah, um, well.... I LIKE PIE.


all in all, i'd have to say that FF6 is my fav. It just has so many great themes, not to mention the only one with a different prelude (the soundtrack includes the original as well).

FF6 without a doubt. I'll always remember the first time Locke came onto the screen with his theme blaring. F yeah.

Definitely Numero Six.

FF7 was goood... It had a lot of good music, and the OST CD with its orchestra remixes of One-Winged Angel and Aeris' Theme were fantastic.

I hate to be a FF7 R TEH WIN BECAUSE I'M A LAMERZ! I'm not a lamer, but FF7 was my 1st Final Fantasy, and I've played the others, but you just can't beat Cid's theme and OWA.

What the hell are all of you talking about? lol
FF8 was damn cool. It's movies were perfectly set with the battle music!

Oh, and lets not forget, the Kuja song out does EVERY DAMN BOSS MUSIC EVER MADE! or somethnig...still the best for me. Even over 7.
