The fall of Superman:R.I.P Christopher Reeve!

What a sad, sad day...

Christopher Reeves, the man who played Superman, has died. As everyone knows, Reeves had a horrible spinal cord injury in 1995. He has contained to a wheelchair, and he used a resporator to breathe.

Chris Reeves went into cardiac arrest on Saturday at his home. That was caused by an infection caused by a bed sore that is normal for a bed ridden person. He went into a coma and died on Sunday afternoon. He never woke up. The cause of death is Heart Failure.

Here is a story: http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Movi...eve/index.html

Reeves was an excellent actor. He played Superman perfectly. He will always be remembered.

Would it be mean of me to post a link to the Maddox article about Christopher Reeve?

shiney 10-11-2004 03:13 PM

Yeah, it probably would. Maddox causes drama. No need for that concerning the death of what could almost be considered a legend.

I'm sure he will be missed.

"But most will remember this sad day as the day the proudest, most noble man they ever knew finally fell. For those who loved him -- one who would call him husband, one who would be his pal, or those who would call him son -- this is the darkest day they could ever imagine. They raised him to be a hero: to know the value of sacrifice, to know the value of life. And for those who served with Superman in the protection of all life comes the shock of a failure: the weight of being too late to help. For a city to live, a man had given his all and more. But it's too late. For this is the day that a Superman died." - Superman #75, 1992 (written by Dan Jurgens) :(
