Final Fantasy X competition

Well, this thread is to post your awesome stats in FFX. I will post mine tomorrow or sometime soon when I get the time. Right now I will tell a bit of what I have gotten. I want to see everyone elses stats!!!

I have Rikku's, Yuna's, Tidus', and Aurons ultimate weapons completedly maxed out.

I have Auron with arouns 17,000 HP

And more to come when I actually have my game right here to post my stats. Lets see yours!

Let's see...

About 58k HP on everyone. (due to choosing the "expert" Sphere Grid)
999 MP on everyone
255 on all the other stats on everyone (including Luck)
Fully upgraded Celestial Weapons for everyone.
Two sets of armour for everyone: One with Ribbon ({international version}), Auto-Haste, Break HP Limit and Auto-Protect. The other set is almost the same, except for having Deathproof instead of Auto-Protect. (I personally prefer using tactics based on having large amound of HP instead of Auto-Phoenix. I know that in some situations this isn't the best solution, but it does work well enough for me.) Also, I have armour that has such things as Master Thief or No Encounters on that 4th slot. Which I don't need seven of, for obvious reasons.
Only things I miss now is to maximise the Aeons properly, then collect 99 of the items I don't already have 99 of. And I have f.ex. 99 Master Spheres ({Dark Yojimbo}).

Anything else I need?

daaamn. Unfortunatly not every version has those things..I never saw a master sphere in my FFX, nor are their Dark Aeons.

hawk_one you i have to quote a friend who said "If all of the people out there who invested enough time to max out all of their stats on FFX where to invested it in a more worthy cause we would have cured cancer by now."

Hawk one 10-17-2004 05:43 AM

Yeah yeah yeah. You can say that about any hobby or even sport that has people obsessing over it. Besides, it doesn't even hold water, because compared to a lot of hobbies, maxing out the stats in FF X the way I've done (armours and the likes included) will take only about 150-200 hours (or shorter, I've been rather slow in my progress).

Now, 200 hours equals about a month of workdays (assuming about 50 hours of work per week). When it's done, it's done, and one wouldn't bother to do it all over again. If I were to start working on the cure of cancer, I'd need way more than a month just to get into the technicalities of it all.
Compare that to f.ex. stamp collectors, who can often obsessively spend decades on their hobby. Now -that's- a group who could do well to start thinking about curing cancer.

In closing: :P (Definitely my best argument, don't you agree?)

I almost feel like starting a huge argument over the insanity of comparing gaming to medical research, but that would be incredibly off-topic. So instead, I'll leave you with this: I only got my stats good enough to be able to beat the final boss, and most of the monster rancher enemies. Heck, I didn't even have 9.999k HP with everyone.

My problem with the spending 150-200 hours on a game that you can complete with a satisfactory percentage of stuff accomplished in 40-60 hours is this: I have a shitload of games. Over 100, definitely. I've passed, I'll wager to guess, 20-30% of these games. This isn't for lack of want to pass all of them, let me assure. So, usually when I see people talking about how much time they've spent on one game maxing out all stats and such, I groan not cause I think they're wasting their time (these are videogames after all, it's wasting time by definition), but rather because I WANT that time so that I can play more of my games.

That is all.

Only real accomplishment I can brag about is 13-0 against the Ronso Fangs in Blitzball, but, without pictoral proof, I can't do much about your belief of that, can I?

Silver Wolf 10-18-2004 03:17 AM

I can believe ya..I can get around 13 points against the Luca Goers..or any team for that matter. I have 187 wins under my belt in Blitzball, and am not even maxed out in that area..

I cannot get my stats yet, I am gonna wait till my days off work to do that. But lets say I can defeat Earth Eater in 10 minutes or less! And the very first time I fought the beast I died...the second I died..the third it took me 3 and a half hours!

As far as time spent of FFX, I would say it is close to 200 Hours...180 or or 200...

Same goes for all my FF games!
