Sigh.

several points:

1. Cerberus. Indeed, Cerberus was mentioned several times. He is Ashtar's right hand man. He is not actually a pirate, he is in command of the Southern Navy. He is an Admiral, and Ashtar is the Supreme Commander of the Southern Empire's military forces. And yes it is a set up I had planned for quite a while.

2. The Atom. It is a symbol only. Jericho could only relate to Gabriel in what he felt. As an Air elemental, Jericho used the wind as a second pair of eyes. He could control the air and detect the smallest molecule with it. This allowed him to see when he was temporarily blinded, and represented a full awareness of his power.

Gabriel is not a wind elemental, but he feels it in his own way. Each elemental has the ability to detect the world around them through their own element. Gabriel was detecting the world through the power of electricity, which exists in all things in different forms. Just like a molecule of oxygen being like a glowing beacon to Jericho, the Atom was the glowing beacon to Gabriel. Gabriel didn't know what he was seeing, I, as a narrator was giving you guys insight to what he was seeing. Jericho could detect things by their displacement in the air. Gabriel goes further and could detect things by their base elements. The point of it was to convey that the power of electricity can be used to do more than just zapping people and making socks stick to their clothes.

...Right, I gotcha... if its not too god-moddy you can BS extra additions to your powers

You really are gunna let Warmage go on his little 'thing'? Cuz then you're basically saying that he's immortal (oops I died, but my mommy says I can go play again) and always has a backup army of angels with him. Plus, his entire story is invalidated, since he only started to avenge his mom and dad, but his mom apparently was always alive...ish.

MLA, to be fair, the little thingy Warmage has planned is probably a little deeper then Laine becomes an angel (Like he wanted from the start, but was refused, yet now he gets it, after being less of a role in the story as Dain was) then goes and kills orcs with more angels.

Of course, to get there, it's just as you said.

Edit - And really, it was never said that Laine died and became an angel. He just had him suddenly go from broken skull to sleeping on a cloud...

slightly aboveaverage man 10-23-2004 10:12 PM

Woah... For some reason I just felt the hugest pang of Irony.

MLA, what I'm saying is that you can all eventually gain your own "Elemental Self Awareness." The earth has a magnetic field, Jerek could use this. Heat is in all things, Gug could use this in an infared kind of thing, Osiris could detect people through the displacement of moisture in the airetc etc etc. I am also encouraging you to branch out with your powers. Think outside the box to come up with new ideas.

As for Laine, I'm not sure yet. My original intention was to have any and all of the army brought up against Antarrak slaughtered.

However I do see huge holes in the post. If Laine was still at Bastion, he would be under Ashtar's "protection." so he wouldn't be up against a wall. He would be in the Avariel city. Second, Laines mother is a huge issue, what with the "Death of his parents" and all. Change it to Aunt or Uncle, or Third Cousin twice removed, and I'll allow that.

IHateMakingNames 10-23-2004 10:14 PM

SAAM, even if he changed it from mother to aunt, that doesn't explain the sudden angel brigade and standing on a cloud.

Laine dies -> Mother finds him -> They go to heaven -> Laine says bad people doing bad thing -> Mommy sends some angels to go kill orcs

Switching mother with aunt would make it make even less sense then it already does.

slightly aboveaverage man 10-23-2004 10:19 PM

Yeah, but every single one of them are going to have their souls ripped from them by Antarrak. The cloud I agree with. It will have to be changed.

Frankly, this is why I didn't want to allow Celestials in the first place.

IHateMakingNames 10-23-2004 10:26 PM

Hm, so now, how does this work exactly?

Laine survives a broken skull, but is unconcious -> Aunt finds him -> Aunt takes him to healing place -> Laine tells Aunt bad people are doing bad things -> Angels attack orcs?

Or,

Laine dies -> Aunt finds dead body -> Aunt takes Laine to heaven -> Laine tells angels bad things happen -> Angels attack orcs?

Also, I really would not be suprised if Warmage doesn't see any of this at all (Or completely ignores it), and just posted what he feels like.

Dragonsbane 10-23-2004 10:27 PM

Laine probably got healed, since he didn't have access to Hakar and Metrius the way the others did. There will be no army of angels. Laine will not become an angel. No matter how much he pays me, he will remain mortal.

slightly aboveaverage man 10-23-2004 10:38 PM

Indeed. He never specified the army in his PM to me. He seemed to hint at a Drow army that Talos conjured up.

Dragonsbane 10-23-2004 11:02 PM

No drow army either, or I'll just have Antarrak slaughter it.
