Ooc: Warmage, just plain no. For one thing, Antarrak isn't in a camp, he's making his way to the Southern Empire. Secondly, as IHMN pointed out, LAINE'S MOTHER IS DEAD! You yourself said she and his father were killed by this "Wizordo" character. We also stated in the sign up that their are no Angels. We indicated that there are celestials, but those are extremely rare. rare meaning there are only about fifty in the entire world, continuing on this course is merely going to result in the utter extinction of the species. Personal character development is all fine and good, but not when you start screwing with all the other events in the RP; or when you start ignoring the GM's posts and try to hijack the thread for yourself. I can understand that you've been gone for a while, and had notified us beforehand, but that is no excuse for not reading through what you missed. Consider this an official warning.

Ic: Gabriel struck out with a vertical slash, hoping to cleave the elf in two; but the Staff wielder sidstepped and smashed him in the back. A powerful gust seemed to follow the blow, sending the Half-elf flying forward. Uttering a growl of rage, he began approaching slowly this time, looking for an opportunity to strike. The elf merely smiled and adjusted stances as Gabriel moved. When he moved in to strike again, the bandit sprung forward, using his staff as a pole vault. He kicked off a nearby tree and twisted in the air, gripping Gabriel's head with his legs and twisting him headfirst into the ground.

Gabriel shook the dizziness from his brain and returned his attention to the elf, who laughed mockingly at him.

OOC: Warmage, when the GMs say "no angels", we mean "No fugging angels". Period.

Jaguar is in serious danger of losing his Co-GM status, he has yet to edit any of his posts or mention any of these little sideplots to me. If you don't want them deleted, then TELL US IN ADVANCE!!! How much clearer do we have to make it!!??

I have been patient, I have been understanding, I have been calm. This has not worked, and now I am merely pissed off. Edit/delete your damn post.

[edit] thank you for pointing those out, IHMN, despite the fact that it really is not your job.

IC: Hakar shot one of the bandits, a scar-faced half-orc, through the chest, nocking another arrow before the first hit its target. The second arrow struck a longbow-wielding bandit in the hand, making him drop his weapon and fall to the ground in agony.

As the bandits started attacking, Jechir wanted to scream to the other elementalists, but couldn't. When fighting bandits, you have to think like a bandit. Knowing that if he shouted, it would cause the bandits to change strategies, Jechir prepared for the worst. He flicked his wrists downward, and a couple of daggers concealed in his cloak dropped into his hands. Before charging into combat, Jechir called upon the power of Light, displacing himself as he did at Bastion. Then, another idea came over him. He focused even more on the light around his body and willed it to spread. After a few intense moments of concentration, there were three illusory copies of himself, made of light. These copies did exactly what he did, but they weren't real, so they could only mimic him. Hopefully, this would help to confuse the enemy. Jechir (illusory copies in tow) ran towards the right flank, knowing that there would be archers.

As Jechir neared the archers, he smiled. One of them had such a completely shocked look that he never had a chance to knock an arrow. Jechir leapt upon that bandit archer, daggers ripping into the man's throat. The archer tried to scream, a thick gurgling sound was all that was achieved. As the other archers turned towards him, drawing their short swords, Jechir began tumbling around them, hoping his copies as well as his displacement would confuse them. As he ripped into another bandit, one of his copies seemed to do so to another. The man looked utterly confused as the blade passed harmlessly through him. The bandit recovered and tried to slash the illusory copy. The blade passed through the copy, forcing it to be dispelled into shadow. Before the bandit could express this to everyone else, his throat was already slashed open. As Jechir finished up with the archers, only one illusory copy was left. The small troupe of archers, however, suffered greater losses. Before the other bandits could run to assistance, Jechir willfully dispelled the last copy and ran back towards the main attack force of Elementals.

Rage welled up within Gabriel, he began to slowly stalk towards the elf, a look of pure menace on his face. As he neared striking range, the elf extended a fist and a powerful blast of wind sent him flying backwards again. The elf laughed harder. Now Gabriel's vision blurred with rage and hatred. Releasing a battlecry, he charged at the Elf again, but as his opponent streched his hand again, Gabriel dug his sword into the ground and braced his legs in front of it. He pounced forward, his fingers hooked like claws and lunched for the elemtental's throat. The elf sidestepped and smashed him in the back with his staff. Gabriel didn't even react. He twisted and struck as hard as he could at the bandit, catching him with a right hook to the ear. The elf tried to strike at him with the staff, but Gabriel caught it with his hand. The bandit leaped up, using the staff for leverage and dropkicked the half-elf in the face. Gabriel staggered backwards, but threw the staff aside and charged again, tackling the bandit to the ground. Straddling the man's chest, he began furiously punching him in the his near flawless face. The elf kicked him of and streched his hand out, the staff began flying to him. Before he could catch it, Gabriel ran up behind him, grabbed him around the waist and threw him backwards, landing him on the back of his neck. He plucked Thanatos from the ground, held it behind his back and charged the downed bandit.

The remaining bandits began closing around the group, each one taking on an elemental, their various weapons drawn and prepared to strike.

Hakar concentrated on his own powers, making each of the bandits see him in a different location than he was actually in. One lunged a few feet to the side of the half-drow, and was disembowled by a low, sweeping strike, while another shot arrow after arrow into the side of a tree before Hakar's curved dagger sliced across his throat.

As Jechir neared the group, he realized just how much energy the duplication spell had done. The first Elemental he saw was Hakar. Nearing his ally, Jechir felt himself getting weaker and weaker as his use of magic caught up with him. When he was about two meters away, he dropped to a knee. Jechir called weakly, "Hakar..." He didn't pass out, but he was feeling very weak. As a bandit with a short sword came up to him, he was barely able to fend him off with his daggers, grateful that his displacement spell was still taking affect.

Dragonsbane 10-27-2004 12:48 PM

Hakar moved away, his own mental displacement still working as he stabbed the bandit who had attacked Jechir, hitting him in the shoulder with a downward cut.

"One of you get him to safety! I'll try to hold them off!"

Gug stepped up, fufilling one of those crucial moments in a goblin's life when he takes a stand, against insurmountable odd, only because he knows that he thinks he can win really easily.

"Why hold them off, they won't be able to run." Gug cackled, his eyes broiling over with a mixture of glee and flame. He watched as the bandits began to regroup, he simply held out his glowing palms. The goblin's sight was not trees and brush, simply heat, the bandits were glowing blobs, and coursing through those blobs...

Utilizing the honed wit made during countless generations of one-nighters and short marriages, Gug made the last comment these vandals would ever hear. "Hope you're not nerveous."

Instantly the bandits nerve endings were enflamed, causing them to drop their weapons as they fell to the ground, clawing their skin, tears streaming down their faces as they curled up in between fits of howling laughter. Pleading occured, but more of the childlike "Hey, not there, that tickles, stop" instead of the "Hey, I'm losing all feelings in my body" Gug had expected.

As he looked upon the now crawling group, Gug was confused, but masked it by looking dumb, then realized what he had done and turned to his own group. "Look, no problem anymore, I incapacitated them." Gug said, then thought that would be insufficient and decided to add "Oh...and I kept them alive for interrogating and the such."

OOC: For the sake of being in the fight this is before Gug's attack.
Mat casted an electricity spell on the bandit’s weapon the shock caused him to drop it. Then his Glaive spinning Mat cut of the bandits head and continuing the strike wounded another bandit in the arm. The bandit had time for one quick slash before Mat finished him of. With a look of triumph on his face Mat whipped the trickle of blood coming from his arm.

Dragonsbane 10-28-2004 10:06 AM

OOC: Secretskull, your constant inability to correct your posts has infuriated me to no end. I have warned you repeatedly, but you haven't listened. Consider this a stronger warning.

IC: Even as Mat wiped the blood from his arm, an arrow thudded into his shoulder, followed by another one striking him in the stomach.
