Venn was walking through the town trying to look for a good way to waste time without having to go back to work with those stupid drunk hu-mans back at the Diablo. As he walked he glanced up at the clock tower to see what time it was.
The little hand is on the the I with the V and the big hand is on the X and the I so that means that is is... um... six thirty? Goddamn human clocks! As he sat trying to remember his Termainion numerals he saw something move on top of the clock towers. He couldn't see what it was but the movement was clear. He looked harder. There it was! It was an imp that seemed to be intently watching something. Venn tryed to follow his gaze but without the advantage of the other imp's height he was unable to see. |
Having undressed and stepped into the ladies's sauna at one of the better inns she could find, Nelsheena sat herself down on a bench and let the towel fall down on her lap, not really caring how exposed she was. She sighed.
"It wasn't really nice to snap at Perinmer like that. It's not like it's his fault. Why did I go off like that, anyways?" Her voice carried well in the steamy chamber, but she was the only one there. She closed her eyes. "The nobility means customs. It means traditions. It means conducting yourself with manners. It means ceremonies. It means stupid rich people parties. If that's what nobility is for, then count me out. Now, being able to finally go to a nice sauna like this. This is noble heaven..." Nelsheena yawned, suddenly dozing off in the sauna. |
When the two faeries began to leave their spot in the town center, Kilik stood up to follow. He jumped or glided from rooftop to rooftop to follow them. When they entered the inn, Kilik hopped down from a nearby rooftop, onto the small balcony for one of the rooms. Through the window he could see that the room was empty, so with a few quick words he transported himself into the room.
Wrapping his wings around his shoulders and his tails around his waist, Kilik made a simple illusion of a large belt and a cloak. Once the illusions where done, he opened the locked door from the inside, and went into the hall. He went towards the entrance of the inn to see if he could spot the faeries. He managed to get their as the two entered the sauna area. No doubt that the female was going to bathe, and the other would stand guard. Kilik exited the building and ran around to the back. The sauna was easy to spot, since it was a large add on building to the rest of the inn. He was unsure of which one was the women's room, so he pressed his head up against the northern end. Hearing nothing, he tried the southern end. He heard the sound of a girl's voice, so he guessed the area of the sauna. Unsure of who was inside, Kilik took some time to prepare a few magical flash bombs, just incase. Once he had a good number of them magically made, he chanted a bit and teleported himself into the sauna. He aimed high so he wouldn't hit anybody inside, but low enough to not hit the ceiling. He dropped from the center of the room, flash bombs out and ready, to find nobody but a sleeping faerie inside. He landed in the water, causing a splash, but not enough to wake up the faerie. That was easy.. Kilik thought to himself. He expected a room of girls screaming and running around blind, then having to grap the faerie and getting out of their before he knight came in and stabbed Kilik. Instead he finds her alone, sleeping. Gently, he approached her. Tearing parts of the towel off, Kilik gagged her mouth, and tied her arms and legs. He did this slowly since he didn't want to wake her up and cause her to scream. |
Aeria was trying very hard to stay in the shadows and remain unnoticed. What was actually happening was she was pushing through crowds of people. Either way, her progress was slow but she remained anonymous. All she was trying to do at this point was get as far from the inn as possible without being seen. She had taken random roads and streets and back alleys, and was now completely lost.
How did I manage to get so lost? she thought, as she turned left at what seemed a very large, crowded street, I've only been walking half an hour! Oh well, at least it gets me time to decide where I can go. She stepped out of the way as a minotaur almost walked right over her. I could go and try to find Jack's ship, but who knows how many ships there are at the docks right now? And what of Koel? she turned another corner, this time hardly even looking ahead, what was he talking about with that other guy? Something about a job... Finally she looked up at the night sky. There, surrounded with many lights was an airship. Oh that's right! she thought, they were talking about an airship! This must be it. She began making her way through the crowds to the ship. She basically had nowhere else to go, and familiar strangers were better than complete strangers. At least I'll know somewhat of who I'm dealing with, she thought. As she was approaching the ship she began to make up her lie to get her aboard. There was a large, rather stupid looking man by the entrance holding a club. "Where d'you think you're going, missy?" He questioned her, stepping in her way. "Who do you think you are addressing?!", she exclaimed, "I am High Lady Coramere of the Rainbow Coral Reef kingdom. If you do not let me passed this instant, I shall be very cross." There was no Coral Reef Kingdom, but how would a stupid land dweller like this know? "What's this then? A noble woman with no guards or escorts? Naw, I think you're lying to me." Came the bouncer's reply. He's smarter than I gave him credit for. Coramere thought. "Alright, you caught me," she said, completely changing her voice and attitude, "I'm not a noble. But come a little closer, I have a secret to tell you." The man grinned greedily and leaned forward. Coramere took one of her poisoned hairpins and pricked him in the neck. His face showed shock as he became paralyzed and went limp. Perhaps he wasn't quite so smart afterall, were her thoughts as she entered the ship, half carrying half dragging his large body with her, before he lost all subconcious control of his legs. Anyone watching would have assumed that he was going to get lucky in this casino, but in way completely unrelated to gambling. |
Perinmer was standing at attention outside the door as any good bodyguard would do, and Perinmer believed himself to be a very good bodyguard. Truly the very pantamount of duty and restraint, standing at attention outside of the door with his hand fully on his hilt at all times. Unfortunately, he apparently wasn't all that good, or Kilik WAS that good. Either way, Perinmer was able to hear the splash, but he thought nothing of it at the time. He just assumed Lady Nelsheena was moving about, nothing to be too concerned with.
|
However, Nelsheena did wake up. She knew it was too late, however. She was already bound and gagged. Even a child could kill her, and she kept her eyes closed and continued to rest. Nelsheena assumed that she would need it. Not daring the cry, she silently apologized to Perinmer in her mind and was ready to accept her fate at the hands of whatever was in the sauna with her.

Kilik suddenly remembered that faeries have wings, so he had to use more towel to bind those. This left very little for the faerie to cover up with, but that didn't bother Kilik. He slung the girl over his shoulders, and being a faerie, she was very light. He threw a simple illusion over the faerie, which made it look like Kilik was carrying a large, filled sack. With a few words he was outside the sauna.
Before leaving the back alley, Kilik took a moment to figure out what to do with the girl. He ended up deciding to hide her on one of the ships in the city, then tomorrow sick her guard on the poor crew of that ship. After that, Kilik casually strolled out of the alley and started to head over to the ships. |
Nelsheena felt the magic that concealed her, but was still uncomfortable. If anyone had the ability to see through the magic, they'd be able to get a really good show. Nelsheena was very much exposed in the worst case, and found it discomforting that she was more concerned about the exposure of her body than about being kidnapped in the first place.
Some kidnappers just don't have any manners, Nelsheena thought as she tried to look on the bright side. What it was that had her, it was taking her someplace, so it wasn't likely to kill her...yet. |
Venn looked back where he thought he had seen the imp but saw nothing. He made his way as slowly as he could justify back to his ship. Which was not nearly far enough away for Venn's likings.
He entered the Diablo and a temporary crew member approched him. "Welcome back aboard sir. Should I have command transfered back to you from the first mate?" "Yes," said Venn knowing that as long as the ship was grounded and nothing catestrophic was happing this pretty much entailed nothing. The crew member walked away and Venn looked about. His spirts where much raised when he saw that the trend of stupid drunk humans gambling was continuing late into the night. He sat down at a poker table with several people at it and began winning hand after hand. |
Joan was still watching the people at the poker tables from the slot machines, when an imp came in and started winning all the hands. Joan sat there watching his hand for a while. How long she sat there, she was unsure, as she had drank too much at her gig earlier, and she couldn't remember nodding off.
