But, had you asked a question, or raised something to be actually discussed, he might not have felt this thread was "pointless". As interesting as your initial post was to read, it isn't a conversation starter, and thread topics are meant to be ideas on which to start conversations.

For instance, now this thread has turned into a disscussion on forum etiquet, and how to start a thread. Worthy subjects to discuss. It could've turned into a thread about what kind of frying pan you DON't want stuck in your cranium, or the pitfalls of unwanted sexual advances, both of which relate to your origonal post... if only you'd made clear exactly what you wanted to talk about... if it was that one scenario, you already explained the whole thing, end of story.

So try again and hope for the best. We'll be rooting for you.
