Lunar Eclipse
I hope there is not already a thread for this. I searched, but did not find anything.
I noticed this little blurb when I logged on today. I think it's pretty neat. I always have good view of the moon from my apartment, so this should be pretty good. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6345294/?GT1=5472 |
Eh, lunar eclipses are a dime a dozen. If a full solar eclipse comes anywhere near here, *then* I'll flip out like a chibi.
I just came inside from watching it. ^^ It was really cool watching it, ^^ It was cold out though.
I didn't want to go outside, so I saw it from my bathroom window. It looks so surreal..but I saw it for a couple seconds and when it wasn't fully covered. How often is a lunar eclipse?
I was bored so I watched it from the begining and it was very boring actually
Didn't turn "very" red and the cloud cover didn't help either. Presently it's not there anymore so I might watch it more... could just be the clouds blocking it though. |
Usually there's a couple every year, and they're visible to anyone for which it's night.
This year is a total lunar eclipse. There won't be another like it until summer 2007, I think. I have a map on eclipses. I enjoy them. I just came in from watching. It's at it's peak.
I couldn't even see it, :( stupid clouds!
It was crystal clear here. I even took some pictures of it, which I would gladly attach to this post, save for the fact that the attachment manager really doesn't like me. At all.
On an on topic note, the eclipse was totally sweet! |
