Perdition's Tale Chapter 1, Part 2
 

Kazuki followed Cesia up the stairs, keeping an eye open for more traps.

The others didn't seem to be doing anything, so he called out to them.

"Guys... Time to go!"

Ic: Cid looked at his surrondings something was wrong but nothing was happening.

Vace sighed, this expedition was off to a bad start, and would probably go downhill from here, but he wasn't just going to back out now and lower their chances of pulling this off, so he followed the others up the stairs and outside without incident.

Kalimare looked around at everyone and then looked over to Celes and Kazumi, both who had already headed up the stairs. His large form stayed unusually quiet considering his size as he walked behind them. He had decided there was no need to speak for a while, so he would just stay quiet.

OOC: Celes' character isn't named Celes... It's Cesia

Lynx finished cleaning himself as best as he could with only his toungue, then followed the group, sticking to around the middle of the group.

Taim very purposefully positioned himself at the back of the group. He wished to stay as far away as possible from the high velocity pointy objects, thank you very much.

The group slowly made it out of the abandoned building. Tamakatari grudgingly taking point with Taim trailing behind. A cool breeze ran through the town, giving it a haunted feeling.

"Hm... All of you made it out of there." A voice said from above. Everyone looked up to see a young man relaxing on the roof of a nearby building. "I thought for sure the fire would have done you all in." he said casually, as if they were talking over dinner, "But I guess if you want something done right.." He snapped his fingers and stood up on top of the building. Suddenly, emerging from the shadows and the dark houses came a horde of the theives, all of them armed with weapons and some even with nice armor, probably stolen from other helpless travelers.

"YESSS!!! Cid said as arrows bounced off his armor. He bisected a man with his burning sword and knocked another into the wall with a blow from his shield. The mans neck snapping from the blow.

Dawn stayed in the middle of the group along with Lynx as they made their way outside. She wouldn't argue with the choice they had made, and seeing as how she wasn't the type to just leave, she supposed that she would just continue along with them.

She came to a quick stop as she heard the man's voice and looked up at him. She swallowed hard as her focus came back down and to the group of thieves that were now surrounding them. "Eh, perhaps.. it WOULD have been better to have stayed in there?"

Lynx calmy turned to Dawn. "I don't think so. Based on the fact that Cid just killed two of them in a second just now, this is probably going to turn into a slaughter..." Lynx did a cat version of a sigh. He had wanted a chance to talk to the leader, but with this group, he wouldn't get that chance.
