DOA:U - I have obtained it...and it is good
 

I have obtained DOA:U. FOr those who need an update this is DOA1 and 2 remade on the XBOX. However, in the case of DOA2, they updated the graphics to level of Ninja Gaiden (XBOX version), added tons of costumes, added Hitomi, new environments and then....made it all online.

I only got to try it yesterday for about 2 hours, but after playing about 15 games (and winning about 12 of them, yay!), the game had gotten my approval! Any doubts people have had, and I know many who have had them, let them be quelled by this massive DOA fan, who was also very skeptical they could do it.

And they did.

I know you didn't play much of DOA3 - or maybe I don't, I could've sworn you said that - but how much is the difference between 2 and 3? I'm looking forward to getting it, but my xboxed is fuxx0red ATM so it's going off to kentucky. Any significant character changes?

I'll try it out to be sure, but there's only one fighting game for XB that exists to me, and that is the almighty GGXX#R.

By the way, Kenroku, how does the online thing work? Can you arrange a private session, i.e. say, if an NPFer wanted to have a match with another NPFer, how would you go about doing that?

No, DOA:U is good because it has good gameplay, a unique game engine and design and good characters. They just happened to have also put good looking female characters in the game, which everyone who is looking for an excuse to not play DOA is always using. OMG IT HAS HOT CHICKS, THE GAME MUST SUCK!!!! No, almost every fighter has 'hot chicks'. King of Fighters (Mai, Athena, Yuri...), Street Fighter (Chun Li, Cammy, Sakura...), Soul Calibur (Sophitia, Ivy, Sueng Mina) Tekken, Virtual Fighter and yes even Guilty Gear (Dizzy, May, Jam...). So there, I'm tired of having to back up DOA every time with this dumb argument. And yes, the girls in DOA are hot, Hitomi being the hottest girl I have seen in a video game. But I ALSO think it has the best GAMEPLAY of a 3D fighter I have played.

And your 'debate' on GGXX is not going to happen. Why? Because your view is simply 'No, GGXX is better'. Hence, there's no debate on your side, just you with cotton in your ears holding a sign going 'No, GGXX is better'.

And as far as I can see, I the game seems to be pretty much open play. You create a session, but anyonecan join. I don't see passwords.

Anyway, DOA has always been my favorite 3D fighter, but all my friends suck at it and refuse to play, so this might be a good time to finnaly get to play it against people.
