Chain Maile
Well, everyone's been doing a lot of the computer related stuff, so I'm going to go out on a limb and actually talk about life outside the internet (gasp!).
I consider the making of chain maile to be a craft, and this would be one that I would participate in. I was just wondering if anyone else participated in such crafts, that may be set in the D&D/Medieval world. It was just a random babbling thought of mine. |
Chain mail? You mean as in you're a blacksmith?
|
No, not really. I just make chain maile.
I have absouletly no sheet metal working abilities (yet). |
What is chain maile? Does the extra "e" on the end make a difference? And let me guess... you're a technical student of some kind, studying metalworking in a polytechnic.

I know a guy who makes chain mail, but I doubt I'd ever have the patience for it. I can do monotonous things until the cows come home (levelling in Final Fantasy games comes to mind) but I'd probably end up making really deformed chain mail.
I'll just have to work on becoming a swordsmith, so I can create my lifesize replica of Sephiroth's Masamune. |

Chain Maile is the "old" spelling. It's just a style.
And yes, I'm a technical student. But not in metalcrafting. I'm going to be an Information Systems Tech major. Missed your other question... I learned from my brother, but there are a lot of good sites online that teach you how to make chain maile. Just do a google search for "making chain mail" and you should find it. Damn, used to spelling mail with an "e". Edited by the original author to include more informaiton. |

Eeh, it's something to do in math class.
And actually, I'm a member of a medieval combat society, where if you use armor you get more hits. Look it up. http://www.amtgard.com |
