On a Side note from the Sane side of Bellsouth Minion: We have all this technology, but cant make a damn Internet connection work... only a very small fraction fo the world has acess to telephone... and people still think tthat by 2010 we will have flying-cars u.u.....

yeah if its gonna get spammy then this definitely isnt the right place for it.

Wireless connections are pretty much hit or miss. For the longest time I was unable to play CS because of my bizarre wireless connection. Then I bought CoH and couldn't play it either.

I prompty went out and got a new router/signal thingy. My suggestion is that Brian do likewise.

I send Brian an email about my sugestions. I'll post them here as well, in case my email gets lost in the deluge of spam:

Sounds like you're in the wireless dumps. Heres a couple sugestions:

It sounds like what you mean is that your computer is three feet to the left of Lydia's, not three feet to the left of your router. This probably means Lydia isn't getting all that great a signal/connection to the router (as good as it could be). Might wanna try moving the router. If that isn't possible, you can head on over to Circuit City (Best Buy is probably better, Circuit City price gouges) and get a wireless extender, which will ebroadcast the signal of your router over a larger area, thereby granting you entrance to Wireless Eden, how God truely intended the Internet to be experienced.

If the router is under Lydia's computer or some such so that it should be impossible for you to be out of range of the router, you may want to check on the quality of your wireless card, compatability, drivers, go to your system BIOS and check to make sure theres nothing on-board that could be interfering (such as an on-board ethernet card, which you should definetly check anyway. To do this, hit the F8 key on your keybaord repeatedly with a hammer as your computer starts up and just kinda piddle around looking for an on-board modem type thing. As long as you don't touch anything else, you should be fine).
