does anyone else think it odd that both itachi and that shark-lookin fella were both horrified of fighting Jyria, even though he was suffering from a mild hangover, while Orochimaru, who is scared out of his mind by itachi's sharingan power, scoffed at Jyria joining forces with Tsunade. im afraid that this leaves me slightly puzzled.

also, do you think naruto will finaly change clothing after the time jump? that orange jump suit was stolen from prince's private closet. it was almost as bad and not nearly as functional as gai and rock's green unitard thing. *shudder*

i realy wish that the creators of naruto would provide some numerical system for dealing with matchups, so that it is easier to understand WHY one character schools another.

Well it seems that Jiraya is more powerful than Orochimaru and Tsunade and remember how Itachi told shark guy not to fight Kakashi as he would get hurt for sure, this means shark guy is around the same level is Kakashi but as for Itachi and Jiraya neither of them have actaully fought full out yet so prehaps Jiraya is truely more powerful than Itachi which is what it seems they are trying to show as when Itachi and shark guy ran away from Jiraya in the hotel.

And why did Naruto never wear the suit Gai gave him ? He would looks so hilarious in it

well, naruto did wear it for one episode, but kakashi convinced him to change back. i guess because he wears that forehead protector over his fashionably scared eye he thinks he knows everything about shinobi dressing.

but Jyria cant be more powerfull than orochimaru, roach had to get past jyria, tsunade, and the third hokage to start his sound village. and i thought it was kabuto who was compared to kakashi, by roach?

Prediction: Naruto will be bought by FUNimation/Bandai and become the next DBZ when it premieres on WB Saturday mornings.

Orochimaru is weaker than Itachi. It is commonly agreed that that is true.

Also, Orochimaru did not have to fight through all those people to start a sound village. For one thing, the Third let him go, and Tsunade and Jiraiya were both nowhere to be found during that period, at least so far as it's been mentioned. Finally, during that battle he wasn't real worried because while he couldn't use his arms Jiraiya could barely use his whole body and chakra.

Besides, not even two sages can go against the entire village created personally by the third sage himself.

As for Itachi being scared, he isn't. He just doesn't want to get into any unnecessary trouble; his orginization is supposed to be top secret.

Then again, I've only read up to the Chuunin exam, so things might have changed, but I haven't heard of anything like that being mentioned.

Please tell me this episode where he wore that thing. I'm currently watching it for the fourth time through, and I don't remember that ever happening.

I am pretty sure Naruto didn't wear the suit Gai gave him, atleast not in the anime, but who he might of in the manga. As for power I am pretty Jiraiya is more powerful than Itachi and Orochimaru. I was under the impression that Orochimaru was more powerful than Itachi at first(everyone for that matter), but after the Third Hokage disabled his arms he must feel pretty dang vulnerable. I was under the impression that Orochimaru was the most powerful Ninja alive, until he lost his arms in the battle with the Third.

Naruto didnt wear the suit, also Jiraya Is stronger than Orochimaru but he cant kill him because his rivalry is just like Narutos and Sasukes so there for Jiraya wont kill Orochimaru unless he has to

akatsuki, i think you just took that right out of anime episode 108.
Jiraya couldent kill orochimaru because he wasnt strong enough, he got drugged by tsunade so his chakra and body was weakened, and the reason Orochimaru didnt die when Tsunade kicked his ass was because of the technique that bound his mind (or soul, dont remember)to that world.

For the whole, Orichimaru vs Jiraya vs Itachi thingy.

They might not be as "powerfull" as one another, but remember power isn't everything. The techniques they use can easily shift the balence into their favor no matter how powerful they are.

Orichimaru vs Itachi = Itachi uses the sharingon special move and annilates Orichimaru with ease.

Jiraya vs Itachi = Jirara obviously knows about the special move and most lickly has a way to counter it, same as with Gai. Hence whey Itachi said it would be troublesome to fight him.

Orichimaru vs Jaraya = Can't tell so far since Jiraya realy hasn't shown his true power. Yet while orichimaru's arm's are gone, if Jiraya's not drugged up, I beleive he should be able to handle Orichimaru is need be.

As for the suit that Gai gives Naruto.
Naruto tries many a time to put it on, every time Jiraya tells him not to and to throw it away. So no, he doesn't wear it.


You need to remember in the Naruto universe, not everything is "Power" based. Techniques play a major role in a battle.
